I am a woman and an ordained pastor. I am not the only woman on this site who is.
Suffice it to say, a study of the original Greek, free of the prejudices of translators, brings out the fact that not only were women called, but they were leaders in the early church.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal. 3:28
God has opened up amazing doors for me to minister as a chaplain, including preaching, teaching and visitation. I did not begin my ministry until I had done a thorough study of the Bible to be certain that God called me and there was much work to be done.
Really, it is absurd to think that over 50% of the church is not allowed to minister, because of a difference in one chromosome. But more important is what God's Word says.
I have posted repeatedly on this topic, and I am really not well right now, but if this thread continues, or perhaps on another thread, I will present the incontrovertible evidence that women can be pastors, and not only when a man is unavailable.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." Romans 11:29
