Look at the woman with an issue of blood, she went to multitudes of physicians and instead of getting better she grow poor and worse, my mom is an example of chasing down shrinks and doing that, so is my sister, and my mom subjected me to that from 4 years old on, and guess what? Jesus Christ saved me from all of them and that, and I got better by him.

It was Jesus Christ the Lord who made me better no secular shrink, or any man of the cloth blessed, healed or saved my soul but Christ.

I see a counselor friend once a month. He gives me so much Godly perspective. I am so thankful for his insight and wisdom into my jacked up ways of dealing with life.

So disorders like PTSD, depression, and anxiety that psychologists diagnose people with are just hogwash in your eyes, then?

You can have alot of things wrong with you , I dont believe in them, if you and others do, stay under their care for hundreds an hour, and jump on 90% of their meds that give you more side effects then the first initial problems you started with.

I had been there for years from 4 till my teens (you dontknow what I have been through with them and I dont care to tell it all) but just because someone quotes a doctors voice on the matter to me (concerning themselves) doesnt mean it will necessarily mean anything to me. It can to them, it doesnt have to (to me)

Ok new question: why is being gay such a "big sin"? I know it is a sin but why does it seem that the gay community is suffering more than most other groups of sinners at the hand of other Christians. :-(

From this man's perspective, I'll attempt to give you an answer (good or bad) ... because I think you deserve one. I admire your candidness and honesty. I believe that men would find it more difficult to extend whatever helping hand they could to a gay man in most any fashion, including sharing the gospel and love of Christ because most would be afraid of being viewed (by others) as possibly having the same interests and/or desires as the gay men do. In simpler terms, I do believe it to be a "macho thing" with the guys. And for many of us, the thought does make us uncomfortable. I honestly wouldn't know what to say to them nor know how to help them because I can't relate to what they feel and live. My daughters have had one or two gay teenage male friends over to our house during their highschool years and I simply treated them as I did any of their other male friends ... but always with more compassion. Wished I had more to offer this thread

I think on your first point...it is not my job to judge...only to love. On the second I don;t think we disagree.

Certainly God uses physicians and medicine to help us, but it's nice to speak to Him about a healing we need and receive it, knowing it's nothing for Him to do, and will do, if it's in our best interest. He's healed me of many physical issues. And I'm sure, if he continues to let me live here, that He will again.

I like the way my grandfather put it to the physician when the physician finished explaining what percentage he had of surviving the cardiac by-pass surgery he needed.

He said, "I believe in the Great Physician! You do the best you can. The results are up to Him."
