I have felt the Holy Spirit a handful of times but today it felt a little differant. Usually it feels like a warm, tingling feeling of comfort or with the feeling of being empowered..but this time I experienced the feeling of heaviness like I was being weighed down a little bit....has anyone experienced this?

It is important to make certain that the heaviness that you experienced was a heaviness brought about by the Holy Spirit and not your own self. If you look at John 16 verse eight it mentions that the Holy Spirit will guide us by convicting us of sin. Now this is a good thing as God wants us to get rid of the things that displeases Him and the only way to identify those things is to be convicted by the Holy Spirit. I am in no way saying that the heaviness you experienced was because of any sin that you committed, but it is something to think about. In my case most times the Holy Spirit that I feel is uplifting but at other times it's not so uplifting. I think that a lot has to do with what we are feeling as a person at the time.

If this was the Holy Spirit, He will tell you why He is trying to get your attention. Sometimes I have felt a heaviness in my spirit, but I knew it was a call to intercede for someone who was feeling that weight. Usually for me it is a call to pray for someone.

I agree, when I feel this heaviness, I pray until that feeling is lifted. If you do not know what to pray allow the Spirit to pray through you.

I took it more to mean a physical sensation as she initially said 'a warm tingling etc.' and then a 'heaviness'. I've had physical sensations especially when praying but I don't ascribe much importance to them except knowing the assurance of His presence.

Yes..almost 15 years ago i went though a "tragedy" and everyone told me that I had to sleep and to call the doctor and get some drugs, but i had a little more faith than that..I prayed for comfort and sleep and within moments this wonderful heaviness came down upon me (yes it was a physical heaviness) and i slept for about 4 hrs each time, (I needed this for about a week, I prayed each night an within moments it came), enough to keep me physically going..it was the ultimate comfort..I feel blessed to this day for what the Lord had sent me in my time of need..life may bring pain but God is always there in one way or another to walk with us during these times..(not just times of pain, in any way we need, could be a surge of joy..God always provides..)

Jruiz, I know what you are talking about. A lot of time in prayer I am consumed by a fire, I suddenly and strong and very passionate I can in that moment overcome anything. Other times I am consumed by a deep love and compassion, others I just feel a sort of heavenly peace the list goes on. The holy spirit is very active and he speaks with us in so many ways

Dear friends and loved ones, we have not received the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:16 says that, [SUP]16 [/SUP]and the Spirit himself speaks to our spirits and makes us sure that we are God’s children.

Dear fiends we cannot confuse our spirit and with teh spirit of God. Our spirit is Different from the spirit of God that Jesus promised to send.
We have not receive the Holy Spirit the Jesus promised

The disciples in the past have baptised people with Holy Spirit. The people who baptised are the ones that had the Good news Just like you and me today, and they believed in Jesus Christ just like and me today, and they baptised in water just like you and me today and they did not receive Holy Spirit. As soon as the disciples laid their hands on them and prayed to God, the people receive Holy Spirit.
So tody we say that we have been baptised in holy Spirit and we say that we have receive Holy Spirit and the Gift of the Holy Spirit. If you have receive Holy Spirit then who is that disciple laid his hand on you and you receive the Holy Spirit? Name that Disciple please?

If you can not name the disciples then we have to find it now?

I'm sorry to hear you have not yet received the Holy Spirit.

Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—
(Gal 3:2-5)

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
(Eph 1:13-14)

The bible confirms that we did not receive the Holy Spirit of GOD.
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Jesus promised to his disciple that the father will send a helper in my name which is the Holy Spirit,
Acts2:1-4 when the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. [SUP]3 [/SUP]They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. [SUP]4 [/SUP]All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[SUP][[/SUP][SUP]a[/SUP][SUP]][/SUP] as the Spirit enabled them.
God sent his holy spirit down to all the disciples and they were speaking in different tongue, and only the disciple where in the house.
Acts 8:14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria.
Acts 8 [SUP]15 [/SUP]When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, [SUP]16 [/SUP]because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
The bible says that, they WE baptised in the name of the lord Jesus Christ but we they did not receive Holy Spirit
Why the people/we did not receive Holy Spirit is because Jesus has promised his disciple that he will send Holy Spirit to them?
Even when they believed and peptised in the name of Jesus Christ why didn’t they receive Holy Spirit?
Because Lord Jesus Christ did not promised the entire people or the world see JOHN 14:17 [SUP]17 [/SUP]the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Also at room, only the 11 disciple are there and they were the only one receive the Holy Spirit and not the entire people.
Acts 8:15-17[SUP]15 [/SUP]When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, [SUP]16 [/SUP]because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Peter and John Placer their hands on them and they receive Holy Spirit. That indicated that they have not receive the Holy Spirit but only the disciple receive the Holy Spirit and they are the ones that can distributer Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:[SUP]15 [/SUP]When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
Acts 8: [SUP]17 [/SUP]Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Since they are the ones that receive the Holy Spirit they have the authority to distribute the Holy Spirit.
Paul also did the same thing on the other side,
Acts 19:1-4, While Apostles was at Corinth; Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples [SUP]2 [/SUP]and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”
“John’s baptism,” they replied.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” [SUP]5 [/SUP]On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 19:6-7 [SUP]6 [/SUP]When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. [SUP]7 [/SUP]There were about twelve men in all.
Act 11:15 “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

They believe in Jesus but they did not receive Holy Spirit, and they did not know what Holy Spirit is all about, they just believe in Jesus Christ.
Paul placed his hands on them and prayed and they receive Holy Spirit.
That indicated the they apostles receive the Holy Spirit and distributing them.
That also indicated that the work of the apostles ceased
That also indicated that the world of the Holy Spirit stated through the apostles.
That indicted the baptism of Holy Spirit, placing the hands on people and praying over them is the baptism of Holy Spirit.
Therefore this is the condition to enter the kings of God.

  1. first we must believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16) and (John 3:15)
  2. secondly, we must baptised in water and holy spirit (John 3:5-8)
Acts 8:1on that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. [SUP]3 [/SUP]But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.
Acts 8:[SUP]4 [/SUP]Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.
Real also Acts 13:46, acts 14:5-6, ACTS 21:11
Isaiah63:10
Great persecution broke out
All apostles were scattered, many have been put to death
Stephen death (acts 8:2)
James put to death by seaward (Act 12-2)
Peter was put in prison and later crucified upside down (Acts 12:4)
All the disciples died during that time, all the work of the Holy Spirit ceased,
But the question is how can we baptise in Holy Spirit to enter the kingdom of God? OR HOW DID YOU RECEIVE HOLY SPIRIT

The answer is in the bible.

Most of use confused about God, Jesus and Holy Spirit
God the father is a creator
And God the son is a saviour
And God the Holy Spirit is a life Giver-Gives life
God the father did his work and we all witnessed it
And God the son died on the cross and we also have witnessed it
But we have not witnessed the work of the God the Holy Spirit
Romans 8:16 says that, [SUP]16 [/SUP]and the Spirit himself speaks to our spirits and makes us sure that we are God’s children.
Dear fiends we cannot confuse with our spirit and with the Spirit of God. Our spirit is Different from the spirit of God that is the Jesus promised to send.
Jesus promised to send but not to everyone. Jesus promised to send to the disciples.
We have not receive the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised

The disciples in the past have baptised people with Holy Spirit. The people who baptised are the ones that had the Good news Just like you and me today, and they believed in Jesus Christ just like and me today, and they baptised in water just like you and me today and they did not receive Holy Spirit. As soon as the disciples laid their hands on them and prayed to God, the people receive Holy Spirit.
So today we say that we have been baptised in Holy Spirit and we say that we have receive Holy Spirit and the Gift of the Holy Spirit
. If you have received Holy Spirit then who is that disciple laid his hand on you and you and prayed to God for you to receive the Holy Spirit? Name that Disciple please?
Many people say that they have witness the power of Holy Spirit that is good but first answer the above question.
How did you receive the Holy Spirit and in what ways?

You have to have you evidence, you can make miracles and you can heal the sick and you can speak in tongues but how did you received the Holy Spirit?

You can do many things but they are not the evidence.
The evidence is who give you the Holy Spirit? Or Name the disciple that laid his hands on you and you prayed to God for you to receive the Holy Spirit?
do not confuse people please

Dear friend who read this please find the last work of the Holy Spirit and receive Holy Spirit to enter God's Kingdom (John 3:5-8)

Dear friend, you are doing the same thing like the Israel people. The Israel people think that they already know God and they think that God will come in the sky and they did not believe in Jesus.
Dear friend, stop repeating the same thing please.

There is no other change if you miss out the baptism of Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:16-19
[SUP]14 [/SUP]The apostles in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria hadaccepted the word of God. So they sent Peter and John to the people in Samaria.[SUP]15 [/SUP]When Peter and John arrived, they prayed for the Samaritanbelievers to receive the Holy Spirit. [SUP]16 [/SUP]These people had beenbaptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet comedown on any of them. This is why Peter and John prayed. [SUP]17 [/SUP]When thetwo apostles laid their hands on the people, they received the Holy Spirit.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Simon saw that the Spirit was given to people when the apostleslaid their hands on them. So he offered the apostles money. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Hesaid, “Give me this power so that when I lay my hands on someone, they willreceive the Holy Spirit.”

Lest us discuss here

The bible says that in line 14, “people of Samaria accepted the word ofGod” just like you and me when we accepted the word of Christ in thebeginning when we first become Christians.
And they “baptised in the name of the Lord JesusChrist,

And then it says that “they send Peter and John”- Why do theyhave to send peter and John?
“Peter and john prayed for the Samaritan believer”- they acceptedword Jesus

Christ and they believed Just like you and me.
And then it says that, “
these people had been baptized in the name of the
Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them”
.

If Jesus promises to send Holy Spirit to us then they should already have HolySpirit and they do not need peter and John to put their hand on them to prayfor them in order to receive Holy Spirit because they accepted the word ofGod and they also believe and Holy Spirit should automatically wentto them. How is possible that peter and John have to go and pray for them.

It continues line 17, “When the two apostles laid their hands on thepeople, they received the Holy Spirit”.
“And if we saythat we receive Holy Spirit then how did we receive Holy Spirit”.
1. They accept the word of LordJesus Christ
2. They believed AND
3. They Baptised
4. They did not receive Holy spirit
