right now? I think the answer is no because the resurrection of the dead has not occurred, correct?

Also, sometimes I think people will be just like they are now in Heaven or on the New Earth, minus the sinful nature. There still could be moments of anxiety or sadness, disagreement or brief fighting, but all would be worked out. Is this so? After all, if Heaven is free from these things, how was there discord between angels in the first place? :\

Any thoughts? I appreciate your comments

The New Heaven and the New Earth is only created after Christ returns a second time.

Jesus took All the saints of the Old test. to Heaven with Him when He ascended into Heaven, Acts ch.1. Before that they were not allowed in Heaven; And, after the ascension of Jesus, all Christians go immediately to Heaven upon death. Jesus will bring all these righteous souls/spirits back to earth at the time of the rapture and resurrect their dead bodies. We , christians, alive at the rapture, will be change into our eternal bodies and go to Heaven for 3 and a half yrs, then back to earth at Jesus 2nd coming to rule the earth. We will rule the earth with Jesus for 1,000 yrs. After the 1,000yrs, Jesus will recreate the earth into the eternal new earth. In eternity God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will be in Heaven; But, Jesus, the God/man, will live with us on the earth. I really think we will take "field trips" to Heaven. Share your thoughts. As some have already. Thanks. Love to all, Hoffco

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea" (Revelation 21:1)

"And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." (Revelation 21:2)

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Revelation 21:3)

Right now, when a person dies, that person is immediately with GOD.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

That means that right now everyone that has ever lived in the flesh and died is in Heaven.
However, Heaven has two sides. The good side and the bad side. These two sides are separated by a gulf that cannot be passed. People who make it are on the side with Abraham. Those that do not make it are in grief on the bad side of the gulf waiting for judgment or waiting for the Millennium if they did not get a chance to know Truth in the flesh.

Luk 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Luk 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
Luk 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luk 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

NO ONE GOES TO HEAVEN
I'm glad for quoting this Scripture about Lazarus & Dives.
If any man is to go Heaven, the 3rd Heaven, the dwelling place of God, what is the resurrection needed for?
Why coming back from heaven, 2b resurrected, to go back where we already was?
In this parable Jesus shed some light as to what happens at death.

MAN IS A TRI-UNE BEING
Man is body - soma, soul - psuche & spirit - pneuma
At death, these 3 parts separate from each other.
The body - soma returns to dust, therefore we need a new, glorified spirit body to enter heaven temporally.
The soul - psuche, the naked man goes to Hades [Gk] Sheol [Heb.], translated as Hell in our Bible.
Hades is the realm where the departed go souls awaiting the resurrection of the body.
The spirit - pneuma, returns to God.

All departed souls goes to Hades, but are seperated from each other in Hades.
Though the departed disembodied souls are already tormented in Hades, its not the Lake of Fire.
Hades is disconnected from our physical world, we cannot go there, neither can they come here.
So everyone claiming that they were visited by a departed soul is in error.
It might just be a demon in disguise.
Once you pass from this life onto the next, there's no way one can change your destiny.
Your fate is sealed.

BIBLE DISCUSSION FORUM?

(just saying............can't we keep the Misc. Forum for fellowshipping without such arguments/debates/discussions?)

We are in 'heaven' briefly as Christ returns and gathers us to Him. But we return to this earth with Him for 1,000 years. After that we are in heaven again for a brief time, as this creation is de-created and the new earth is formed. At that time we populate the new earth forever.

That's the Readers Digest version. For the notated, long winded one see my blog :)

There is still Judgment Day.
As for a new earth? Well that is still up for grabs, Satan (whether it be Moloch or Lucifer) needs to take this earth in this world to complete the Tree of Death and pre-empt Judgment Day.

just to cheap in something to think about here, HEAVEN IS NOT A LOCATION. ITS NOT A GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION! Christ fills all things in all, there is nothing that exit that out of Him. if any created thing were to live apart from Christ, that thing will cease to exist immediately. Think of these things pls. blessed

Of course heaven is a location. Your own user name indicates that..lol.. Is paradise a geographical location on earth? It sure is, it used to be the garden of Eden. Now no one knows where it is, because God wants it that way. :)

According to Jesus, heaven is a location. Jesus referred to it as Paradise when he talked to the thief on the cross. It is a geographical location, we just cannot access it now, since God does not allow us to unless he does it for a specific reason for a little time and/or we die. Heaven is described in the book of Revelation as well. What you just said goes contrary to the Old and the New Testament. I suggest you read the Bible more. Otherwise, you are mostly correct about what you are saying. God bless. :)
