Instead of coming Here to learn, and grow in my understanding of the Word. Instead i see constant arguments and disagreements that are indeed saddening and infuriating to read...
I do not know about you but i know that stagnation is a problem, and as the body of Christ we should move from such petty arguments, and vain disagreements and start to teach and edify each other on the principles of the word of GOD.

" and start to teach and edify each other on the principles of the word of GOD."

No one is stopping you, are they?

I've been on other sites (non Christian) that are absolutely horrible. This one is actually pretty peaceful. There are a couple on here that I choose to ignore because arguments can get started but other than that, I wouldn't say it's that bad. We are not all going to agree anyway.

I've participated on more than 30 internet forums since going online in
1997; and Christian Chat is easily one of the most agreeable considering the
ample amount of free speech we are permitted here.

However; seeing as how forums are neither catechisms, nor Sunday schools,
nor yeshivas, nor synagogues, nor churches, nor seminaries; I don't
recommend them as a learning resource per se; but I do recommend them
as an excellent venue for armchair theologians to hone their communication
skills; and actually we're all rabbis, so to speak, in one way or another.

Take for example the OP's statement "as the body of Christ we should move
from such petty arguments, and vain disagreements and start to teach and
edify each other on the principles of the word of GOD."

That's good New Testament stuff.

†. Rom 14:19 . . Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to
peace and to mutual edification.

†. Gal 5:15 . . If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or
you will be destroyed by each other.

†. Col 3:16 . . Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and
admonish one another with all wisdom

So; in expressing his opinion about the way some of us conduct ourselves,
my_adonai_ has taught us some principles of the word of God. I don't know
if he set out to do that; but what the hay; whatever works.

If one comes here to be spoon fed then I would assume it is disappointing but, if one comes here to be challenged. To see beliefs questioned and examined in detail. To see subjects brought to light that require deep study on the knees, then maybe you have come to the right place.

When one is challenged to ferret out the truth on their own (with the help of others but not programmed by others) then one can really begin to learn what the scriptures say.

Listen to what they say with suspect and then go to the word with an open mind and allow the word to teach you the truth.

Welcome to the body of imperfect and sinful men called to be saints friend :)
Meatier subjects and disagreements about them is common within the body of the church and with men in general. i think it fair to say that we love each other enough to offer correction and instruction from different stages of development, perspectives and experiences we have all learned along the way but often our zeal get's the better of us while discussing some of these topics. "Harmless as doves" goes with "wise as a serpents" and without coupling the two together we often either appear over zealous and closed minded or over charismatic and closed minded to those observing.

Matthew 10:24-25
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

Ephesians 4:11-16
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

At times we should also learn not to offer whats holy to swine.
Most of the "Correction" offered are simply not accepted.

That's why Paul said, evil men/women will wax worse and worse, deceiving and Being deceived..

and these words from the Lord also describe them

Joh 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

I do not disagree with contending for the faith.
But if its "Christian" website then there should be more Unity and riots.
We do call ourselves "CHRISTIANS" and bear that seal on our foreheads, then why should there be DIVISION!!.

My thoughts exactly.........instead of slamming the site and everybody......why not post scripture and start explaining the scripture and or your view of the scripture......me personally I am tired of whine bags and people who are easily offended which is a sign of spiritual immaturity.....I am sure I will catch it for that one.....!

Unfortunately, especially when it comes to open forum sites where people are able to express their opinions and speech since it's not highly moderated (with a few exceptions), that means that people will use it in any way that they can. Some use it to put down others who don't agree with them, others use it to lift people up, and in common is the fact that they make up of opinions that collide and result in the things that it does. The main purpose it seems to serve is by communicating with those of like interests and fellowship in that way.

Understanding a bit as to where you come from, it can be quite frustrating if one expects that it'll be like a huge Bible school and that people would be able to question in a way that a teacher would instruct in a classroom with no outbursts. Since it's the Internet, we're not as restricted with how we respond to each comment/discussion. Plus the beliefs of certain topics vary despite that just nearly every one agrees under one thing - following Christ.

my_adonai_,

after a while, climbing over rocks and boulders becomes 'old-hat' -
and then we begin to cherish the in between times when
the peaceful, graceful road of life will cradle you and carry you
into places that you never dreamed of.....:)
