well you have you seen them live?
and have you heard their newest cd? I love it!
but everyone has their own taste, I just like everything lol
lol, I have never heard them in general. you were talking about them so I said they were bad, lol.
hmm the problem with the CCM industry is it tailors itself conclusively to a chrsitian audience while also basing the entire genre on the content, not the music...

Christian music is normally not that great unless the Christian band doesn't label themselves as "Christian" the label is too confining for many artists....

look at the fray... they are a mainstream band, but the band members are Christian and were initially funded and put together by Christians who wanted a Christian but balanced and good voice in the mainstream music venue...

i myself like a lot of indie stuff... and if you want a Christian indie artist, listen to sufjan stevens, he has some awesome stuff, and he is obviusly christian but he is not a "Christian" singer (by that i mean he is not CCM)
I would disagree with this. Although their are GREAT bands with christian members that are mainstream. The Fray isn't the gext example, lol. TFK is a good example though, paramore. But I still think that there is good chrsitan music that does reach out further than just the christian audience. Pillar is a good example. Oh my Skillet is one of the best examples of that.

If you keep posting information like this, the moderators are going to figure out who you are and ban you again. Is there even one slightly Christian band in there?
there were actually. Skillet, TFK, POD, and those are just the ones I can remember.

I didn't know I had to post only Christians bands. I thought I could mention any of the ones I like.

the title of the thread did not say what Christian music are you into, it just said music, so that could include secular and christian bands, I see no problem posting what secular bands you like, its all just our own tastes.
I like the band Oingo Boingo, they are deff not Christian.

I LOVE RATM!! They also are not anywhere near christian. If a christian band could come out with the same sound as RATM, I would be the number one fan for sure. No on has been able to replicate their sound.

I grew up with what is now called Classic Rock, "Aerosmith,AC/DC, Rolling Stones etc." But now I love Christian Rock with Artist like Toby Mac, Brandon Heath, Mercy Me, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, David Crawder, Kari Jobe, Hillsongs, Michael W. Smith, Jeramy Camp, etc. They have a very inspirational way of touching my life and my heart.

Skillet and Creed are good bands. For that matter I should throw Jeremy Camp in there too. I can list a few of my favorite songs (I probably have 150 now): Hey, Soul Sister by Train; Neopolitan Dreams by Lisa Mitchell; Past in Present by Feist; Awake and Alive by Skillet; Stay by Jeremy Camp; One Last Breath by Creed; Papercut by Linkin Park; Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd; Dream by Priscilla Ahn... So quite a variety... I like a lot of oldies, too, but as it is they're just too... old?
