God's been putting on me to do this, basically put an impression on me to start praying on one thing persistently. As I have some health issues, Holy Spirit put on me to pray for my own physical health and health of some other people, and persistently so. I am curious what will come out of this. I might get physically healed, I might get healed in a different way than I expected? Or He might speak to me in a new way so I overcome my condition through the Spirit and receive new joy, although the physical might not be overcome. You never know with God and His will be done, but He knows why He is doing what He is doing, He always answers our prayers and it always turns out great...

Luke 18
1
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

So I thought of sharing the challenge with you.

1. Ask for guidance of God on what to pray on, or maybe you already know what it is.
2. Pray persistently every day, for a month.
3. Let us gather on this thread to share our revelations and praise reports, after that month is over, and also in the process, as our prayers are being answered and we are discovering things in Spirit!

Accept His challenge, and let the adventure begin!

You know...I like what is said here, but I want to throw a thought at ya........

The times in my life when I have had the best result from prayer is when I have been completely selfless in my prayer......what I mean is this.....God knows what You need and your health situation.......maybe spend all of your time praying for everyone else without adding yourself because at the end of the day biblical Christianity is true selflessness....

Not mouthing and just pointing out what has brought me the best results from prayer.........just a thought to ponder.....!

I totally see what you're saying and normally I never pray for health, but for the Kingdom of God and trusting God will add health to it. But this time I'm specifically led to pray for it for some reason. It must be needed?

As much as this pains me....I'm going to have to agree with DCon. :p (Kidding brother)

Selfless.
He already knows what we personally need.

Jesus taught them/us to pray for others while we prayed....and even included it in it.

"Give US this day........."

Right? :)

Sigh okay guys if you're going to be condemnational that I'm praying for health for myself, once in my life, besides praying for others' health which I do daily, then you can as well report this thread to be deleted. Again I never pray for my own health, but this time I'm led to. I'll be praying what the Spirit put upon me, because if HE impressed it upon me, then I need it! Thanks...

Of course...Pray.

I was merely making a statement on how Christ told them to pray.
Even they wanted to know how to properly pray.

IMO, He included in the actual prayer?

Thy will be done.
I hope all gets better Sis.
Sorry.

Okay I see this thread is not welcome and that I'll be judged so I'll definitely "keep my peace" in the future.
I only hoped it would inspire people and give them joy and that was the reason for sharing. I'm not angry with either of you but this is sad. So much judgement. I dont ask for a snake but for a fish. Like it's a sin to ask to be physically healed. While it's not the first priority, it's not sin to ask for it.

Dear Lord,

You are full of compassion for Soulweaver, and I ask that your anointing in her bring her body complete healing. She is obeying your words to "ask so that you may receive... so that your joy may be full". I desire her to be full of joy and able to witness of your power to give when we ask.

Honor her faith in you as her Healer.

Amen.

I really appreciate your supportive post Sis. This thread was meant to be about each one of us picking the challenge for a month, and share praise reports for the glory of God, if someone wants to join me in this. The thread kinda went in wrong direction, telling people what to pray for and what not to pray for, probably I posted it in wrong forum. But I couldnt put it into Prayer Requests because it's not about me but each individual picks whatever God puts on them to pray about. I'll have to get my unicorn to start starting threads for me, I'm definitely not good at this... sigh

Its a good thread ...and you hearing from the Lord :)

"say to the mountain" ...."you have not because you ask not"

I don't know why you would think this or have this type of thought as all I did was tell you what has worked best for me and given me the best results in my life......nor did I condemn you for praying for yourself..........so...I hope the above statement was not directed at me........

God knows what you NEED before you ask Him what you WANT - He knows best and He knows your hearts desires before you utter them . Praise be to our Lord
