Its great to see that your looking to the Old Testament to help you understand the New Testament. It's all relevant. Some people try to create a different God for the new Testament.
Just shows they don't know God.

I find the biggest give away is when people try to say that Jesus taught against the Old Testament.

Many take the beatitudes and say Jesus changed things, Yet I have not found any teaching in there that is not in the Old Covenant.

Jesus is our exodus from slavery to sin/the Devil.

Yes, he is - and he is our Sabbath rest!

I just spotted something you said a couple of pages back about the blessing observing the Sabbath is for you. It would be, of course. Any time we set aside for the Lord is a blessing. Given that Jesus fulfilled the fourth commandment though, observing the Sabbath is not a commandment under the New Covenant. Parallels to the other nine are found in the New Testament but, not surprisingly, the commandment to keep the Sabbath is not there. And why would it be? Jesus and the Sabbath rest we find in him are it!

I do not wish to cause offence, but the idea God has a preference, on which particular day a born again Christian sets aside specifically for him(if they set one day aside or consider all days alike) is frankly ridiculous. God wants your heartfelt, praise, worship and adoration for what he has done for you through Christ, and what he continues to do for you through him. The idea the omnipotent God has a preference on which day you give him such heartfelt worship(regarding setting a particular day aside) is completely wrong. That is the spiritual reality. If you refuse to accept the spiritual reality, you are being led of the letter, not the Spirit on this issue.

BTW
TMS, I think your view is a great one. You choose to observe a Saturday Sabbath, but do not insist everyone else does and recognises that is what scripture states.

No offence taken its not me that made the day. God did your comments are then directed on the one who made it and set it apart.

If you understood prophecy you would see that the Sabbath indeed still stands and in fact will so in the heaven also.

Wrong, for as you noticed, I am speaking of born again Christians, who are under the new covenant not the old one

Mat_15:3 And he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

You are speaking of things you do not know.
I will happily repeat. Those who insist a specific day of the week(whatever that day is) be set aside to worship God are being led of the letter, not the Holy Spirit.

Saying the wrong thing twice does not make it right.

Mat_15:3 And he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

I will repeat this also. God wants a persons heartfelt praise, worship and adoration for what he has done for them through Christ and what he is doing in their life. He wants their heartfelt praise and worship. And God will accept that praise and worship any day of the seven equally. And if a person on a Saturday, from the heart gives to God exactly what another does on a Sunday, God will see no difference. It is not the day that matters to God, but where the heart is before him

Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard Lev19:27

Do you transgress this law or obey it?
I obey the law.

Lev 19:27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

Round in Hebrew - A primitive root; to strike with more or less violence (beat, fell, corrode); by implication (of attack) to knock together, that is, surround or circulate: - compass (about, -ing), cut down, destroy, go round (about), inclose, round.

Mar in Hebrew - A primitive root; to decay, that is, (causatively) ruin (literally or figuratively): - batter, cast off, corrupt (-er, thing), destroy (-er, -uction), lose, mar, perish, spill, spoiler, X utterly, waste (-r).

And beard is an indication of age.

SO Michael I do not strike together my enemies’ heads and as I am getting older I try not to be corrupted by the flesh and cast of the law. The problem is you are trying to argue in English while God is giving you the answers in Hebrew…

Yes that is right "but where the heart is before him"

Deu_5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Seems some hearts don't want to obey.

Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

When you quote the OT concerning this you are quoting those under the old covenant, unless you can show from the OT I, a Gentile must specifically observe a Saturday Sabbath under the new covenant. Neither Jesus nor any writer of any NT book commanded any Gentile to observe a Saturday Sabbath.

I repeat my view, to insist all observe a Saturday Sabbath is to be led of the letter, rather than the Spirit.

Any way this is fruitless Just hear this please what I am about to say you will think I am totally deluded about. But I pray that when you see it come to pass you will remember these words.

Soon a law will begin to travel around the world, At first it will be a simple family day on Sunday but it will not stop there, it will become more until eventually those who still keep the bible Sabbath will be blamed for all the evil that happens on earth. Laws will be passed to take away freedom to keep the true bible Sabbath.

I know you think this is foolishness but remember this on the day it comes to be.
