It's not a question. but a statement!

James 1: 19-21

James wanted all believers to be alert to comprehend the Word of God. This is very important since "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom. 10:17). The Word of God gives us faith to believe, and when we believe, God creates new life within us.

Many people hear the Word of God, but to some of them it is only words; they do not accept it as the Word of God. What a paradox it is that all creation obeys His Word except we who are made in the image of God and have the ability to choose. Many people have an extensive knowledge of the Word of God, but they do not really believe what it says, so they do not respond to it as His Word.

We should not be quick to retort when someone has spoken against us. To be quick with an answer can sometimes get us into much trouble. Consider what the Word of God has to say about these matters. Proverbs 29:20 says, "Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him." Proverbs 10:19 says, "In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise."

A rule that should govern our lives is stated in Proverbs 15:1: "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger."

"The soul of the transgressors shall eat violence. He that keepth his mouth keepeth his life" (Prov. 13:2,3)

when did read, get incorporated, to the word of god. ie do we hear in the mind ,what we read

Yes I understand where you are going on this as it is becoming a bad habit where our Christian brothers and sisters in the faith are throwing scriptures, chapters, epistles, and even half the NT out of their bible and saying does not apply to us. They are lead in false teaching when told that.
What applies to Christians back then apply to us today.
Yes they did not have the written word of the NT at first, but they were given the word directly by the Apostles. What we have in writing they had by direct verbal teachings. When, how, or who the word was delivered to does not matter as it is all for our instruction, learning, and to use to work out our salvation through Christ.

Very interesting question. In the late 1300's John Wycliffe was about one thing: getting the Word of God back into the hands of the masses in their own native language.

But I believe that in most homes, there was only a family bible. Everyone read together that one book. And there were, as mentioned, churches also at that time. I mostly just heard sermons - did not really read the bible. Yet I grew in faith. A lot of my faith came from testimonies by people.

The general public might not have had personal bibles, but once they received Jesus Christ, they also had an "inner voice" of the Holy Spirit that spoke to their spirits and minds as they prayed. Even though I've read and read the bible in my later years, I've probably been more inspired and motivated towards love by the life of Christ in me and my interaction with Him than anything I've read. Information comes through the reading - but spiritual growth comes through intimacy with Him.

To suggest that "some Christians in the past didn't have a bible, THEREFORE the bible isn't that important" is just not a logical line of thought.

-- The value of something TODAY is not invalidated because you did NOT have it yesterday.
That's just not even good logic.

-- When Moses brought the 10 commandments down from Mt. Sinai, he MUST have said,
"Nobody had these commandments yesterday, so.... I guess they really aren't critical."

Oh wait, that's not what he said.
: )

-- If God gives you something important TODAY, that's because it's IMPORTANT.
If you did not have it yesterday, that does nor mean it wasn't important yesterday...
it only means you didn't have it.

If you have a bible in your hands, it is VITALY IMPORTANT and CRITICAL to your life.
If you did not have it yesterday... it wasn't less critical yesterday... you simply didn't have it yet.

People in the past who didn't have the bible, or the full bible... they were not "just dandy without it".
None of us has a perfect life, but God gives us grace to get through difficulties... like not having a bible.

intimacy and inspired.
yet how are people inspired , when you get the holy spirit , then start, going to church, then add, reading the bible, and then add, praying/ talking to god.

so there is different ways , to get the logos,(the written, word of god) ie preached. talking about the word. etc etc

but the rhema(god speaking directly to you. as in something, he wants you to know, or tell an other. do a certain thing. etc) however is a different ball game

Two ears and one mouth. Listen twice as much as you speak. When you are listening you are learning when you are talking you are teaching.

Listen to what God has said and do not tell Him what you think.

For the cause of Christ

We hear what we read, and what God speaks to us by his word. But what the post is about is how many people are good hearing the word, and they can know the word, but they dont act on it, Whats the point Hearing or reading about something if you aint going to act upon it? Whats that hinderence? whats that thing in people live stopping them doing what they read or hear of what God says? Thats more of what I was saying in the op.
