Make the cookies take to her as a welcome to work thing and then explain that you don't like for God to be mocked but that you are welcoming her to the workplace. Can we please call a truce? Well, if you think about it, your relationship with Treddy the Mill is ALMOST as committed as your relationship with all things edible.
Get a wee little trailer and you and he could go places together. When folks saw y'all passing by, they would smile and say......"There go the Mills. Such a nice couple."One word of advice though, don't try to "tread water" with Treddy, he does not swim.
The absolute best reaction to a boss's disrespectful action is a gentle "thank you" and then walk away and go back to doing your job to the best of your ability. Remember that Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. An enemy is anyone who tries to steal the joy of our salvation. We will add you to our evening prayer list.

Dear Sister SoulWeaver, I'm not proud to admit that I don't take kindly to people who show no mercy or who exhibit no conscience. I've seen too much in my life and sometimes struggle with a warrior attitude that is not righteous. I often have to cast all my mind into the embrace of the Father and wait for my flesh to be overcome by the Spirit's love and mercy. I agree with JesusLives about praying for the enemy. And the only way I can do that is to surrender my perception and visualize how Jesus sees my enemy from the standpoint of the Cross. In fact, I have to do this quite often when I go into the other BDF threads.
