May the Lord Jesus arrest him in the same manner I was in 1976!!!!

What a ride!!!

Violet's already ahead of most of us, but how about we all take a moment or two to actually say a prayer for him sometime today? And, more... can we remember to do it again tomorrow?

You see I am a very logical person. So when stories like Noah's Ark are presented to me, I tend over analyze them. I read this article:

The Impossible Voyage of Noah's Ark | NCSE

It makes perfect sense. I'm not trying to troll. I just can't reconcile certain beliefs with the physical possibilities of reality.
Maybe Schrodinger's Cat will help makes sense of things that don't make sense. Things that make sense actually don't make sense, we only think it does because we are bound to our understanding of creation.

Schrödinger's cat is a famous illustration of the principle in quantum theory ofsuperposition, proposed by Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. Schrödinger's cat serves to demonstrate the apparent conflict between what quantum theory tells us is true about the nature and behavior of matter on the microscopic level and what we observe to be true about the nature and behavior of matter on the macroscopic level -- everything visible to the unaided human eye.

Here's Schrödinger's thought experiment: We place a living cat into a steel chamber, along with a device containing a vial of hydrocyanic acid. There is, in the chamber, a very small amount of hydrocyanic acid, a radioactive substance. If even a single atom of the substance decays during the test period, a relay mechanism will trip a hammer, which will, in turn, break the vial and kill the cat.

The observer cannot know whether or not an atom of the substance has decayed, and consequently, cannot know whether the vial has been broken, the hydrocyanic acid released, and the cat killed. Since we cannot know, according to quantum law, the cat is both dead and alive, in what is called a superposition of states. It is only when we break open the box and learn the condition of the cat that the superposition is lost, and the cat becomes one or the other (dead or alive). This situation is sometimes called quantum indeterminacy or the observer's paradox: the observation or measurement itself affects an outcome, so that the outcome as such does not exist unless the measurement is made. (That is, there is no single outcome unless it is observed.)

We know that superposition actually occurs at the subatomic level, because there are observable effects of interference, in which a single particle is demonstrated to be in multiple locations simultaneously. What that fact implies about the nature of reality on the observable level (cats, for example, as opposed to electrons) is one of the stickiest areas of quantum physics. Schrödinger himself is rumored to have said, later in life, that he wished he had never met that cat.

LOLOL. I'll be 61 in three weeks. May 1
My name is actually david,I named myself popeye as kind of a joke because I have a catarct in the left eye.(down to mono vision) LOL.
It gets fixed in a couple of weeks. maybe I will sbell beter.(and stop slaming into things)

It's simple, God who hold the universe in the span of his hand. The God who created everything and who's reason for existence is in himself, can do anything.

Salvation is a greater miracle than the creation of the Earth. GOD CAN DO ANYTHING.

The almighty is restricted by nothing, not even the laws of logic.

Popeye,

Please let us know exactly when the operation is,
so we can be praying.

Two beautiful things this morning!

First of all, the LORD was able to subdue my flesh and keep me from saying the nasty things my flesh was tempted to say to that lost contentious soul. I was angry but I did not sin! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!! Thank You, Lord Jesus!

The LORD makes the wind and the sea obey Him, and He made me obey Him, too!
\:D/

Secondly, and most importantly, the LORD showed me that of all the places that man could have gone, he came to a Christian site. WHY? Because he IS curious... he had God on his mind, His carnal mind may believe he is clever and intelligent, but his empty soul cries out to be filled. He's jealous of the fellowship and family acceptance that we all have together in Christ. And there is only One who can fill his void and meet the needs of his heart and bring him into right fellowship - Jesus Christ!

No matter that MrGone thought he succeeded in wasting people's time and upsetting the peace of God among Christians. He is being pursued by God. The LORD managed to steer him into this forum. So what his rebellious heart thought he was doing for evil, God was doing for good. That man can't outrun God. I believe Jesus is able to make him obey Him.

God's love never fails.

2 Tim. 2:15 Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth.

What do you think that means? Can we possibly handle aright the word without knowing it? I get much (not all, but much) about Noah's Ark, because I studied it. I get the discrepancies for what a cubit was. I get the rough size of the ark. I get how long it took to make it. I don't quite get gopherwood, because that's an old word for an even older word for an even older word, but figure it's got to be some kind of tree around the middle east -- not because that's where Noah started, (for all we know he could have started in what is now Cleveland), but because the word is used afterwards. His thousands of years later grandson Moses was also told to use gopherwood. Before the flood, maybe there was gopherwood throughout the whole world. But these are things I get, and don't completely get because I've done the studying.

Studying -- as in, I'm none too smart, so defer to experts, once I figure out they know what they're talking about. (Your link is full of "experts" who don't know what they're talking about. God gets through to me on the difference.) I use trusted commentaries by men who spent decades of their lives fetching outside info to figure out what the Bible is truly saying and then translate everything down to words I can understand. They're open enough to leave the info on which experts they looked up, so, now that we've got the Internet, I'm free to learn who those guys were to see if I agree with them. It all has to point to God, or I disagree, but God is so vastly bigger than we will ever know (even when we get our face-to-face), so I do not fear asking any question I'd like an answer to. (As for Noah, my questions ranged from how do you fit a T. Rex next to a bunny rabbit and come off the boat with bunny rabbits? How do you fit elephants, tigers, bears, mammoths, and American Bison on a boat roughly the size of a battleship? How did they go to the bathroom? How did they feed herbivores? How did they feed carnivores? How did they feed omnivores? How did they come up with enough food to feed themselves? How did they cook it? You just don't start a fire on a wooden floor. Hoe did they manage to live 13 months together in such a small space without killing each other? They were family! lol) So, I studied. Most of those answers I got. Some I didn't. Then again, I haven't studied it once. I've been a believer since 1971 and I study. I haven't gotten it all yet, Noah isn't one of my emotional buttons that really bugs me. (God commits genocide is one of those buttons. God loves me even though he truly knows me is one I may never get.)

But, that's the thing. We're supposed to study the word until we get answers. One group of small minded God-haters isn't supposed to shake your faith. Where is your faith that it does? My faith is in God's word. Everything in there that is said is done by God really was done by God. I know that because I've put in the effort to ferret through to make sure. I also know that (even more) because God has slathered me -- inside and out -- with that knowledge. What have you been spending your time doing, if that site has made you question God so easily?

It ain't your faith that saves. It's God's faith. (Something else I learned from studying.) Maybe it's time to give up thinking it's on your strength. That's not even the gospel message. You may well be a logic person, but you just proved you didn't use your logic on this one.

Study doesn't mean read whatever and always believe it. Study means you gain the ability to figure out if what is said is right or wrong. (Usually it's some of each.)

I guess I'm just trying to understand why empirical evidence exists if it contradicts the bible. Did the devil create it to confuse us? But wouldn't that mean that it was all part of God's plan. Why would God want to purposely confuse us?

*edit - it goes beyond mere confusion. It's as if certain evidence is presented to specifically make you disbelieve. maybe I am just lost.
That's easy. Empirical evidence is donkey doo. Up to you to study what it is and where it is flawed. ;)

I love the whole "beauty from ashes thing".....what a beautiful savior.

"Please read as I am losing faith" Then going on to kicking against and arguing any possible reason not to have faith? If you're not just trolling, please explain how you can claim to be losing something you've never had. Your socks don't match.

The genetic code of a paramecium is sufficiently complex that it would take at least a 300 word essay to codify it.

What is more reasonable:

That information was created by random events.
That there is a creator God.

Certainly a God who can create a universe can design an ark that would preserve Noah and the animals.
