This is the song we learned today. :) Very simple, only three chords lol. But the lyrics are very poetic. Simplicity is very fitting for it. The people at our church like the simpler songs, too. (Mostly because the majority of the congregation is 55+ in age.)

Don't you just love it when someone puts themselves in the line of fire, then blames you when they get shot?

So, on Friday I had on and off fevers and was in bed by 4pm that afternoon. From 4pm - 8pm I had on and off sleep, with many strange dreams.

In one particular dream, I was sitting in bed with my covers over my legs while we were having a Christian women's meeting in my bedroom. Ages ago, I remember lil_Christian commenting that she had an older sister. Anyways, in my dream, lil_Christian's older sister, whom I know nothing about, laid out rose petals from the hallway in to my bedroom for the meeting. And lil_Christian, Grace-Like-Rain, GypsyGirl and other Christian women from my church were in my bedroom for said meeting.

The I awoke from dreaming, fully knowing it was a dream, but still, in my feverish form told myself: "I really need to tell lil_Christian to thank her sister for appearing in my dream and laying those rose petals out for me." Then went back to sleep.

The end. It was awesome.

There's something about Kari Jobe's voice which can touch you. I think she is blessed by God with a powerful voice to lead worship.

I have to do dishes today. I'm verrrryyyyy VERY VERY VERY tired. But my brain isn't willing me to sleep right now. So dishes, then I'm napping AND THEN I'm going out and getting coffee. I'll have my sister order for me since I don't feel like talking a whole lot (you all know how that goes? When you got a sore throat, it hurts to do anything involved with talking, swallowing, breathing, drinking....blah. And then if you have a stuffy nose, you sound like you put a clothespin in your nose? Yeah. I have BOTH of that going on).

Things are getting very uncertain in India. The voices of the right-wing fundamentalists are growing louder and louder with each passing day. First it was the attack on churches. Then it was the ban on the slaughter and possession of beef. Now they are talking about disenfranchising the Muslim voters and claiming that the Taj Mahal is a Hindu temple. In addition to this, all the development that the Govt. had promised the voters are yet to happen.

There is an insecurity among the minority communities.

[h=1]Isaiah 60:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

I really don't know how I'm going to be able to get through this next chapter in my life,
Oh yeah. God! Duh.
:D

Well I guess this is good because I'm not feeling any sort of despair.
I just feel like I'm dying slowly.
And there's a couple of victories and highs in there too I'm not going to lie about that.

Lots of em.

Update - covered it in 2 tablespoons of organic peanut butter. Guess who now has an empty food bowl? #Winning
This is the equivalent of dipping your children's broccoli in chocolate syrup in order to get them to eat it. You are to train your dog, not the other way around. (I could totally Jesus-juke this topic, but I won't.)

My parents went through this with their dog. Next time, make Mocha wait it out. Give him a day or two, and he'll likely change his mind. As they say...hunger is the best spice. (Reference to your other animal unintended.)

I'm not sure this helps, but...

...technically, this is actually true. For every living thing.

When I think in those terms, it makes me not care about dying.

I also use it to tease my students.

"It's my birthday, mister!"
"So, one more day closer to the day you die, then."
"*GASP* MISTER!!!"
"Just call it like I see it."
(At this point, some other kid in the room will perk their head up and say, "Ohhhh, wow, he's right." Sixth graders crack me up.)

Well this morning has proved that I'm much more productive without a computer. Laundry is done. Bedroom walls have been washed down with bleach water to prevent future mold growth. And I got a bike ride in too. Maybe I can slack off this afternoon then.
