Where was Jesus called a sex fanatic? I missed that one.

I just see

John 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine;

and ye say
, He hath a devil.

John 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking;

and ye say
, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

the sinners would have been the prostitutes. How many prostitute friends did jesus have?

The idea, is like the idea of the legalistic church, If you hang out with them, you must participate in their sin, or may fall into temptation. so we must separate ourselves from them.

No. We need to be like Christ and go out to them.

I might be pushing with the sex addict thing, since your right it does not come out and say that. But I am sure they did, all his prostitute friends (he even stood up for one when he said let he who has no sin cast the first stone)

I just asked where he was called that in the word of truth

Im not much for adding to the words of God to justify our stuff (whatever that might be) it does say the many (not the few) corrupt the word of God, its good to keep that corruption in check.

You are not pushing it EG, you are quite right. Jesus had a lot of prostitutes as friends.

Luke 8 does not state prostitute, but it does give us an idea of the former character of some of the women>

1Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him, [SUP]2 [/SUP]and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, [SUP]3 [/SUP]and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.

its all good and thanks. I was going off what I knew about him, Did not check my source to make sure it said literally that.

The point remains the same, that Jesus did not do what Jason says we should do. do he must not have gotten the memo.

This was according to prophecy (Luke 1:15, Luke 7:28)

John 7:33 For John the Baptist came ((neither)) eating bread (( nor )) drinking wine;

and
ye say, He hath
a devil.

John 7:34 The Son of man ((is come))
eating (( and )) drinking;

and
ye say, Behold
a gluttonous man, (( and )) a winebibber,

a friend
of publicans and sinners!

Which is again according to what the Lord would do the charge are according to the highlights (in contrast between John) sent before Christ and Christ (who come after John) and the eating and drinking accusations (as in truth Christ come doing so and what their wisdom called these things (thats why) ... YE SAY (in accord) which is the same as here

The befreinding of sinners is the charge against him according to the same

Psalm 25:8
Good and upright is the LORD:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

There is (right there) his goodness and his uprightness being charged (falsely) in their doing just this

To slap on a sexual deviance charge againt the Lord (in their own sayings) is wrong, thats a false charge. One they didnt even make (through observing him).

They observed the eating (he come doing) and the drinking (he come doing) and spilled out the whole gluttonous (according to the flesh) and winebidder (according to the flesh) charges in their own after the flesh judgments (in their wisdom).

So also was the freind of sinners, which is an accusation of the very goodness and uprightness of God (in that doing) their own wisdom missed.

But they never even attributed Jesus doing something sexually immorral but rather would test him in their own thoughts (as he knew them) in respects to their perception of what he was doing, and what he should have known (according to him) like when at the house of a pharisee, saying
This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

But again, that charge of befriending sinners belongs to him

Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Just to note I did not claim jesus was a drunkard or sex addict. I said he was convicted of it by the jewish legalists.

You said,

poor Jesus did not get the memo. he was called a drunkard and a sex fanatic because he hung out with drunks and prostitutes

I just didnt see where he was convicted of being a sex addict or sex fanatic as you coin the term as that would make Jesus (not being married) to be both a fornicator and a sinner in accord with the truth (when we know he is not).

He was accused of being born of fornication... Im sure the Rumor was out there Mary had been messin around! thus He was a 'sinner', a child out of wedlock... born of fornication... but Joseph and Mary knew better, it had been revealed to them.. thru Angelic messengers...... a poor Carpenter from Nazareth, born out of wedlock, born of Fornication, forgiving sin? Only God could forgive sin.. lol. can you IMAGINE the despair those religious folk were in . my oh my.. but He was who He said He was.. the Great I am... in the flesh/bone.. Hidden from their Religous Logic and hardened hearts... His Power and Glory and Majesty Witnessed by those who walked with Him, slept beside Him, ate/drank with Him.. what a priviledge to be Called by Him! and to see Him personally.. some days I wish I would of been born back then.. to see that.. I long to see Him who put the Heavens together out of nothing.. Him that Gave Himself on the Bloody tree.. mmmmmm His Claim to be the Son of God, the Son of Man, was Blasphemy on Israel's part, her religious leaders.. this is the reason they delivered Him to Pontious Pilate, blasphemy on their part was 'death'..... the Propitiation God Had INtended ... thru Israel' blindness! -----> He was who He said He was and Witnessed to be! indeed! to God be the Glory!

inheritance is usually given, when someone is dead. this inheritance was given, when the father was still alive to the son. the son was naive and with money and without experience of the outside world., this outside world then taught him, different lessons.(not always good lessons) but being naive, how would he, have learned the lessons, with out experience.
when his mind was set to wanting to explore the out side world. (some lessons are learned via experience, or trial and err mode, in your own life, ie( it dose not matter who tells you,) you end up learning by a mistake. because you did not know or understand what was said to you, until a later date. etc

what inheritance is give to alive christians , are we free to make mistakes and still be loved by the father. etc
are you free to experience mistake and still be loved by the father.

the father will always be there even when you hit rock bottom . etc

Jesus was accused of many things.. which were not True, the religious leaders of His Day accused Him of being born of fornication.. out of wedlock.. which He wasnt because He was placed in Mary's Womb via the Holy Ghost... listen to Jesus's communication with the Religious elite of His Day.. what vipers and so blind to the Truth.. ----------->
-----------------------------------------------------------
But now ye seek to kill Me, a Man that hath told you the Truth, which I have Heard of God: this did not Abraham.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to Him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would Love Me: for I Proceeded Forth and Came from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent Me.

Why do ye not Understand My Speech? even because ye cannot hear My Word.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jesus telling the religious elite of His day. who there real father was, after they accused Him of being born of fornication, thus the Conundrum with Israel's unbelief with their True Messiah, thru this Un belief, Salvation has come to the Gentiles! thats you and me! Indeed, to God be the Glory!

He wasnt called called a drunkard or winebibber or glutton (for that matter) for anything more then Jesus said he come eating and drinking (in contrast to John) who did not and thats how they saw these very things.

He was called a freind of sinners because the LORDs goodness and uprightness in the teachers sinners "in the way" as could be shown is being charged against him (in the very which) they saw evil when to the contrary the LORDs goodness and uprightness is shown in the same, and so there was the testimony of God in that.

Jesus was not called a sex addict or a sex fanantic

Post the scripture if they called him that,

No one is speaking about Mary and Joseph or the scriptures related to them, who doesnt know those?

What does that story about the prodigal son mean to you?

I get this feeling because I was born again and then did some really stupid/sinful things, you might think I was falsely converted. Really not. Good sense and intelligence aren't a first-thing-God-gives thing.

I have eaten the pigs' food. God didn't disown me for my stupidity. His food is better, so I came back.

That's how I see it. How do you see it?
I'm not clear on what exactly you are getting at. Are you saying you were saved and backslid or that when you reverted to sinning again that you didn't give up salvation?

Sorry.
Im still trying to wrap my mind around this whole, get and lose the Holy Spirit a few thousands times in our life?

Would it be too much to ask for you to send me a copy of the Bible you read and teach from?.......................
You want scripture? Sure thing. If you would read your bible you would already be familiar with this passage.
Matthew 18:21,22 "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."
Answer these questions: If you sin against God will you go to heaven?
Is God less forgiving than He instructs us to be?
