I love my brother OldHermit! As does everyone on this site. He's such a blessing to us. I can't believe you would be so cruel as to lure him into a conversation with the intent (WHICH EVERYONE CAN READ IS QUITE OBVIOUS) to attack him like that.

YOU are the one who needs reproof, for correction, for instruction.

Seriously, that was absolutely antagonistic and deceitful. You need to apologize to OldHermit.

I believe that the Word of God is true and preserved as He would have it to be. He created all things, (visible and invisible,) He certainly is able to preserve His word for those who seek Him.

The only other options are to trust in men, or trust in our own understanding...

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

stick to the facts, this is a personal attack....If you disagree, disagree with more respect. Oldhermit is a very nice guy that certainly knows what he is talking about. Stop playing games and attacking people.
 
LOL. That is ok. Never mind him Violet. I gave him a good dressing down on another thread yesterday but was willing to give him another chance at his insistent pleading. I guess I was wrong.

LOL??? REALLY?? Why would you laugh at your behavior? I don't care what degrees you hold, that means LESS than absolutely nothing. The Word says that anything that is exalted among men is an abomination to God. Also it's also written that we are not to put any confidence in our fleshly accomplishments and that we are to even forget what's behind us, our sins and anything about our flesh that we boast about, and press on toward the mark of the high calling of Jesus.

Are you that bankrupt of Christ's love that you would call your crude behavior toward a brother in Christ "honest and sincere"??? NOBODY on this whole site would agree with you, not even the atheists. I for one am putting you on ignore and I hope the Admins ban you if you continue to act ignorant and foolish.

By the way, I don't care what your definition of scripture is... the Holy Spirit in our hearts is enough to give everyone understanding and wisdom. Nothing is impossible with God. You're not doing God any service by attacking His children. What you SHOULD do is get on your face on the floor and ask the Holy Spirit to renew a right spirit within you. I pray that in Jesus' name.
