Well, then we have the disciple John who was always hanging onto Jesus and referring to himself as, "the one whom Jesus loved." He must have been extremely close with the Lord because Jesus entrusted his mom, Mary to John while the Lord was on the cross.

John points us to Jesus being God's Christ. And their is NOT ONE mention of WHO IT IS THAT LOVES HER. It could just as well be a song written to a BOY FRIEND and not to our Lord and Savior.
