In Matthew, Chapter 24 :32 Christ states , "Now Learn a parable of the Fig Tree ", you will notice He did not say(maybe ) learn it He said Learn it , I invite all to explain this Parable before men , with documentation from God`s word only Please . This is a test of your fruit , because you are a Tree symbolically Mark 8:21-25 and Christ is The Tree of Life , look for yourself Luke 23:31 and if you are of God you are one of these Isaiah 61:3 and you will be with us when we clap together Isaiah 55:12, Christ instructs us to test the fruit so I am...Mat. 12:33 peace to all who answer in Love...

Ok, you go first. And remember, this is a test of your fruit.

Oh, Strike One........if Christ is the Tree, then are we not the branches?

where i live, wisteria grows; wild, beautiful and with sweet-smelling flowers.

there is none, however, in or near the plot of land where our house is set.

i wanted to move some here, so i searched, and read, to understand the proper care, and to recognize the vine.

i was taught that if it is transplanted, it can take 10-20 years before it blooms.

And he looked up, and said,

I see men as trees, walking.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up:
and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

(Mark 8:24-25)

when this man, who was blind, began to see, he said men looked like trees, walking.

at this, Christ perceived that his new vision was unclear.
so He laid His hands again on his eyes, and made him look up.

and then, only then, was he restored, and saw every man clearly.

Mat Chapter 24 is concerned with signs of the end times. In both Scripture, and in Jewish extra-Biblical literature, the fig tree is consistently a figure of Israel, the man; and of both the Northern and the Southern Kingdoms as one nation.

Isa 66:8
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
KJV

The nation is Modern Israel; and the day was 5/15/1948.

Lk 21:20-24

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
KJV

Jerusalem returned to Israeli control on 6/7/1967; thus ending the times of the Gentiles.

This is the generation of whom Jesus declares:

Mt 24:32-34
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
KJV

IMO, this means that at least 1 person who was alive on 5/15/1948 will live to see the Second Coming.

Once upon a time there was a member of CC who taught a load of bollocks as biblical truth and then got upset/offended when people stood up for God's truth. They posted more and more nonsense until they had to spend days brainstorming more ideas. The end.

[h=3]Psalm 1[/h] [FONT=Helvetica Neue, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]Blessed is the one[/FONT] who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

This is one of my favorite Psalms because of the tree analogy.

Marc how can that be describing The Israel of today?
Paul says Zion is our mother. Gal 4:26 - Isaiah 54:1

This is what Paul quoted from Isaiah 54:1, and the chapter is describing the future glory of Zion. You have come to Mt Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem.....I know poeple say that Isaiah 66 is describing the birth of Israel, and I too thought that before.

But after research, it cannot be, This VERY ZION in Isaiah 66 is the very Zion of ISAIAH 54, there is only one barren woman.

I don't understand how Paul tells us this is our mother and we miss how the very children being described as being born are us. It is describing the transformation, of the gathering of the one flock, spoken in Ezekiel 34:12....the gathering of the the elect on a day of clouds and darkness, which is the very darkness described by the shepherd in Matthew 24, right before the Angels gather the elect.

That is an instant, that is the twinkling of an eye.

And I know that you may not see it that way, and I completely understand but just think of it, Paul says the Zion of Isaiah 54 is OUR MOTHER, how can the Zion 12 chapters later be delivering another set of children.....the present city of Jerusalem IS HAGAR, they have not come to Christ. How can we substitiue, Sarah with Hagar in Isaiah 66. The present city of Jerusalem is not Sarahs children, they are of the flesh and STILL NOT BORN OF THE SPIRIT...

Abraham`s was promised by God He would be the father of many Nations , when one becomes a Christian one becomes the seed of Abraham Genesis 26:4 , The Tribes of Israel migrated over the lower Caucus Mountain chain`s , try to understand the world is divided by Muslim nations and Christian nations ,with a few exceptions and that most of the named caucasian people are of a Hebrew origin , the Mother term comes from our true heritage of where we originally came from , Hence Mother Israel.

This parable points to the signs of Matthew 24 that indicate the end of the age and the coming of Jesus....just like a fig tree that puts forth leaves you know that summer is near....when you all (the disciples of Jesus) I.E. saved, immersed church members see these signs come to pass we can know that the end of the age and the coming of Christ is near....some apply this unto Israel becoming a nation state again in 47/48.....I think it applies more unto the signs given by Jesus and the signs coming to pass!

I have been striving to bring truth of where trees fit in to God`s word , sometimes Trees are used in a literal sense , but they are in most cases utilized to describe men walking the earth... God and Christ are one Tree, called the Tree of Life , satan is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil , we Christians are the cedars of Lebanon in Isaiah 14:8 after God has handled satan for us and therein longer a feller to come up against us , the fir trees are the angels and again we Christians are the Cedars of Lebanon ,because you know we will be singing the song of Moses Rev 15:3 and we are God`s planting Isaiah 61:3 and Isaiah 55:12 we the trees of the field (world) will be clapping Psalms 98:8 , WHEN God says let the floods clap their hands , it is the floods of His created children , that will flock to Him in Joy... Hosea 14:8 God`s branches are His arms , see your self as a tree . with a top trunk limbs and this is why Christ teaches us to get rooted and grounded in faith ,by a River of Living Water....Peace to you and if you learn how important trees are in symbology , simply because it is a key to unlocking scripture ....Trees have no Knowledge and they do not get Crucified either Luke 23:31

symbol and analogy and metaphor are one thing, but ignoring context and literal, plain speech for the sake of holding onto imperfect analogy is confusion.

the Genesis account of the creation and fall of man is not one big sexual innuendo. the writers of the Bible knew enough Greek and Hebrew to be able to use a word for "man" when they meant humans, and a word for "tree" or "hill" or "rock" or "flood" or "shrub" when they meant these things.

no one is taking you seriously, because when you see metaphor & symbolic likeness, you are calling it literal truth, ignoring context and explicitly factual events and language, and it's leading you into confusion. at least, the way you are presenting it is giving that impression. maybe you just need some communication skillz.

another key to 'unlocking scripture' is to read it plainly and believe what it says.
as when the blind man in Mark 8 saw men as trees (not literally being trees, but appearing like trees), the scripture is very plain explaining that he did not see clearly but had need of full restoration of his sight. when his vision was made whole, he saw men as men, and trees as trees.

there is certainly symbolism in how trees are used in scripture, but i think perhaps you should have the Lord place His hands on your eyes again, and cause you to look up. God is not a tree planted in the garden. He is God, who planted the trees, and who walked in the garden with man.

No doubt Israel and people are shown as trees, but I think a lot of people miss the connection of the prophecy Jesus gave in connection with the fig tree prophecy shown in scripture. Notice the prophecy.....

Matthew 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Mark 13:25
And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Luke 21:26
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Now notice the connection of the prophecy "of the powers of heaven being shaken" and the fig tree....

Isaiah 34:4
And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

And again here....

Revelation 6:13
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

What is also interesting is Rev 6:13 refers to the fig tree as "her" and "she" and now notice Marks account referring to the fig tree as "her" not "his" as in Matthews account....

Mark 13:28
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

Also in Luke we see the mention of "all the trees"....

Luke 21:29-31

[SUP]29 [/SUP]And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
[SUP]30 [/SUP]When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

[SUP]31 [/SUP]So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand."

So when they, (or we) see all those prophecies listed come to pass prior to the 6th seal sign (powers of heaven being shaken) then get ready for the big shake down to come on earth and in heaven, and then look up for your redemption draws nigh. :)

But also the "shaking" of the fig tree can also be shown as symbolic when the strongholds of this world fall at the shaking of the heavens and the earth when the 6th seal is loosed.

Nahum 3:12
All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.

Bless you brother and I welcome your loving response , I might add you can include Mark 13 and Luke 21 Our mission as Christians is to become ambassadors and seed planters , while following Christ`s instruction and doing His work and will on earth , my part is as follows and it should be many of the body of Christ part and that is to teach the two main things Christ warned of , the first you will find in Revelation 2:9 it`s called the Hour of temptation , it is a 5 month period as described in Rev. 9:10 it is the shortened days mk 13:20 , read all of 9 because it is the beginning of the Hour of temptation , in the Gospels in Thessalonians chap 2 , is our gathering back , take note you are being beseeched to know this, it`s like he is grabbing your face to show you this is how the end occurs.... If you want to understand who the son of perdition is , you must understand it means to perish , God is the only one who can cause a soul to perish , Go to Ezekiel chap 28 and look at verse 18 and there is Satan`s death sentence . again read the whole chapter and know that Tyre who God is talking is to means (rock) in Hebrew Prince is simply a title for( leader of) in , Duet 32 is the song of Moses and you as a Christian should be familiar with it as all should , back to 2nd Thessalonians and the order of events is apparent , satan comes at the sixth trump (your still in your flesh bodies )and Christ comes at the 7th trump(and you are changed to your spiritual body 1st Corinthians 15:51 , The temptation is falling for the false Christ and being a bride out of season , if any man says he is Christ do not follow , christ has already been here in the flesh and God`s word declares we are appointed to it but once..so hence we Need to be changed, I show you a mystery. and see how simple it is .... This is why Christians already have the Victory Hebrews 2:14 The second Item Christ Christ so clearly warned about is found in Revelation 2:9 those of the synagogue (House) of satan . In order to have a house of, you must have a congregation of people , who could possibly these people would be ? If we understand the parable of the fig tree we have learned there were 2 baskets of figs one was good ( people of God) and was evil (offspring of the Viper) Do these Jews that say they are jews and are not but are of the house of satan have a family name ? They certainly do The are called Kenites 1st Chronicles 2:55 documents who they are, they are the scribes which we find in the Gospel with a warning from Christ Himself to beware of them Mark 12:38 The Kenites are of an oriental tribe this can be documented in a Strong`s concordance #7014 and 7017 in the Hebrew Now that we have covered the fact the Kenites are the sons of Cain and of an oriental tribe , Lets go to the book of Acts Chapter 21:27 and now you may understand that is why they are called Jews of Asia , it is no step because the 7 churches were in Asia Rev 1:4 the reason they are titled those who say they are Jews and are not by Christ Himself in rev 2:9 is because it is a geographical tittle , if You were born in one location and move to another , you become by title only, that locations people..but they are not really Jews, they only claim to be and Christ wants you to know that ..He also calls them an offspring of Vipers or a viperous generation, tares , goats, scribes John 8:44 He exposes them to you as the children of satan and in Matthew 13:37-43

It seems we disagree!

Nobody is paying attention ? Well I love you back and since we are eternal beings , i will see you there in Love . However since i have my Gospel armor on and in Place and the tongue of Our Lord is a double edged sword , I as one who Loves God , have a part to present and you (we) are not where this particular servant take his direction , you have what you believe to be (alls) best interest by trying to belittle and persecute, The seeds that I plant , the form in which I plant them are my pearls , and as swine you have turned and rend me , Christ said John 15 is what I as a chosen (servant) am experiencing . Angels and Men are equal partners in service to God Revelation 19:10 Angel means messenger But to follow Christ one should expect to be harshly treated He was you as you know . Hope to see you at the first resurrection...Remember I Love you and so far , it is as one would say unrequited , I will continue to hope to have God determine who I am and not my loving Christ brothers , who as the Pharisees have obviously taken counsel against little old me, who is nothing...without God.
