The faith that saves comes from hearing Gods word. It is God that creates in a mans heart the faith that saves. The Holy Spirit stirs the heart of man when it is faced with Gods word. John 3:18-21 demonstrates mans choice when faced with Gods word.

Those who claim that salvation received by grace can be lost do great offense to God. Is God unable to do that which He has said He will do?

I only wonder what those who claim salvation can be lost or given up really received. I have never desired or feared the loss of my salvation. The wonderful change in my life I experienced and wonderful freedom from sin I received is so great that I could never imagine being rejected by my Savior.

I know that I am Christ's because His Spirit witnesses with my spirit that I am His. I have the certainty of the new creation in my life. Since I have been saved I am not the man I once was nor do I desire to return to being that man.

Still some insist on arguing against God and creating threads to create doubt and uncertainty about Gods ability to save. The arm of Jehovah is not shortened that He cannot save.

A person is going to do some kind of work in their life regardless (Whether it be good fruit or evil fruit). A person will bring forth fruit according to the type of spirit that lives within them. For the Scriptures say, if a person does righteousness they are of God. They also say if one sins, they are of the devil. This means that if God truly does live within a believer, then the fruits of the Lord will be present within their life. Not their fruit. God's fruit. For Jesus said we can do nothing without Him.

Jesus said, a good tree cannot bring forth bad fruit and vise versa.
Jesus said we will know false prophets, by their fruit.
Paul identifies those who have a form of Godliness but they deny the power thereof.

Here we see a clear statement that if it is possible to fall from grace, THERE IS NO WAY BACK.

Jn 2:1 clearly indicates that restoration after sinning is indeed possible; therefore by implication it is impossible to fall from grace.

John 2:1 clearly indicates? John 2:1 "And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:"

Nope, don't see the connection. But let me say this, there is a difference between a stumble and a fall. But to say it is impossible to fall is totally contrary to the words of God. Deny the words of God, is to deny the faith in Jesus Christ.

With a wrong heart attitude the word of God will never reveal the truth to you. It is the common pattern of unbelievers to confuse salvation with sanctification. Sanctification does not produce salvation. Salvation is required before sanctification can begin.

Paul connects a being "set free" to "obedience to the truth from the heart."

"Justified by the law" is opposed to "justification by faith."

FAITH WORKS BY LOVE and LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW.

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
...
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Again Paul wrote...

Salvation is a MANIFEST STATE.

Salvation is of WALKING AFTER THE SPIRIT.

Those whom promote OSAS view salvation is purely POSITIONAL and thus deny that "doing" is associated with its reality at all. That is why they can defend one "being saved" and one "walking according to the lusts of the flesh" at the same time.

Those whom uphold OSAS and even those who deny OSAS yet uphold temporal justification when one is still serving sin in rebellion to God are all teaching the old lie of...

Strip all the fluff from the writings of these people and this is what it comes down to. They literally believe they can sin and not surely die.

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

They believe they can do the following without the resulting death...

Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

They do not believe nor teach any escape from the corruption that is in the world through lust...

The question every single one of us ought to ask is have we escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust?

I dont know how someone might consider 1 Ti 5:8 in respects to disobedience and denying the faith, but there is (in that) becoming worse then an infidel could play in but there is professing to know God and being abominable and disobedient and unto every good work reprobate Titus 1:16. Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled IN those whom WALK after the Spirit. Paul taught the following...

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

"Justified by the law" is opposed to "justification by faith."

FAITH WORKS BY LOVE and LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW.

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
...
Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
...
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Again Paul wrote...

Salvation is a MANIFEST STATE.

Salvation is of WALKING AFTER THE SPIRIT.

Those whom promote OSAS view salvation is purely POSITIONAL and thus deny that "doing" is associated with its reality at all. That is why they can defend one "being saved" and one "walking according to the lusts of the flesh" at the same time.

Those whom uphold OSAS and even those who deny OSAS yet uphold temporal justification when one is still serving sin in rebellion to God are all teaching the old lie of...

Ye can sin and not surely die.


Strip all the fluff from the writings of these people and this is what it comes down to. They literally believe they can sin and not surely die.

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

They believe they can do the following without the resulting death...

Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

They do not believe nor teach any escape from the corruption that is in the world through lust...

2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.


The question every single one of us ought to ask is have we escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust?

For it is only in escaping this corruption that we escape condemnation and death. We escape this corruption through repentance and faith whereby we abide in the Spirit of life IN Jesus Christ.

You act as one who has never experienced grace. You speak as one who does not know Gods grace.

It is the grace of God that saves. You either trust Gods grace or you trust yourself. Gods grace needs no help from you as Gods grace is wholly sufficient to save and those whom God has saved He seals with the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption.

Thing is that those who deny Gods ability to save substitute themselves as more important than trusting God to do what He has promised. Go ahead and trust yourself as for me I'm going to trust God.

I'm not going to go through a long list of verses and tediously refute your perverted understanding of them.

With a wrong heart attitude the word of God will never reveal the truth to you. It is the common pattern of unbelievers to confuse salvation with sanctification. Sanctification does not produce salvation. Salvation is required before sanctification can begin.

I am not asking for people to address all the verses. I am merely showing that OSAS is false and there is a lot of Scripture to prove it. Anyways, take on a couple and explain them using the context (if you can).

As for Sanctification: It is the working of God within a believer to put away sin and to yield to the righteousness that God wants to do within their life. If one refuses to yield to God working within them, then they are choosing to rebel against the Lord and do their own thing. Usually a believer refuses the Sanctification by the Spirit because they prefer the pleasure of their own sin (See the Condemnation in John 3:19-21).

You know what....verb tenses, clauses, verses in context prove you wrong....the very definition of the words eternal and everlasting prove you wrong...Ecclesiastes 3:11 proves you wrong......the fact that our spirit which has been born again and does not sin makes you wrong....the sealing of the spirit which is our prepayment of our ETERNAL inheritance makes you wrong....no wonder you miss the mark on other things as well....you actually have to be born of the spirit to understand the word.

Utter bull. Simon didn't have the Holy Spirit. Try reading Acts 8. He tried to buy the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:12,13 says both Samaritans and Simon believed and were baptized per Christ's own words of Mk 16;16. So they were in a saved position or Christ lied. Simon then tried to buy the power of the HS and Peter told Simon "thy money perish (present tense) with thee, v20, perish, apoleia meaning to be lost. Peter commands Simon "Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee." which would be utter nonsense to command this to Simon if it were impossible for Simon to do such.
