I think that Dalai Lama had seen this thread here when said he likes Christianity but does not like Christians ...
That would include Paul--Gal 5:12.

Well, we know whose company some keep. . .

Rom. 12:10. [Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
15:14. And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Cor. 6:6. By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
Gal. 5::22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
-------Gal 5:12 "As for those who are agitators (advocating circumcision, the yoke of slavery--5:1),
I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves."

You are actually endorsing is that Paul received the mystery of the kingdom 6 years after his conversion. I don't believe that.
Based on what. . .what you surmise?

If we don't know what he ministered 14+ years previous,
you are insinuating that he did nothing for 5 to 6 years after
he was enlightened on the road to Damascus.
Read again what I said.

He was in Antioch ministering according to his calling 14 to 15 years before He wrote his 2nd letter about this incident to the Corinthians in chapter 12.

If he heard words "unspeakable" it could not have been
the mystery he was to reveal to us
. If he had done that he
would have been doing what God did not want done

Mat 5:17
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I didn't come to destroy them, but to fulfill them,

Mat 5:18
because I tell you with certainty that until heaven and earth disappear, not one letter or one stroke of a letter will disappear from the Law until everything has been accomplished.

Mat 5:19
So whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom from heaven. But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom from heaven

Follow the example set by Jesus Christ............hear His teaching. Do his Word.
Yes, that would be the works spoken by the Son in these last days (Heb 1:1-2) through the NT writers,
which the NT distinguishes from the words formerly spoken by those who were only prophets.

No one, not even a prophet is capable of changing the Word of God.
His children would not even entertain the thought.
Agreed. . .and the Son has all authority in heaven and earth. . .

Got anything spoken under the new covenant (Lk 22:20) after the old covenant based on the law
was made obsolete (Heb 8:13)?
In truth a blanket covering to the entire precepts given the Israel via Moses cannot be correct. I agree that their was a change in the law concerning the temple and the Levitcal priesthood. If one says that the entire law has been made void, then so is the law of love, unless of course we make up our own interpretation of it as to what we want to believe in half truth which is no truth. I do not accept that the Old Covenants contents was made void. It is only the covenant, not what it contained. If the law was made void then Paul would have never said faith is what establishes it. Ya cannot establish something that doesn't exist.

The law only says to circumcise the foreskin of the heart. That is also new testament doctrine. Physical circumcision was not first endorsed through Moses. It was never a part of the original law physically, but circumcising of the heart was and is a substantial part contrary to being stiff-necked, as you endorse "I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves."

OK..not to burst your bubble...but the 10 commandments are not the guidelines for your life. JESUS CHRIST is the fulfillment of the LAW..in every form and fashion. You and I do not answer to Moses..nor do we roam the desert as a nomadic tribe, eating manna and occasional quail. Besides..the last time I looked, the Ten Commandments have been removed from all courthouses, schools, colleges and public areas. Most countries never had them posted anyway..since they were written. So how do you become a CHRISTIAN? We follow the ROOT word "CHRIST" and that makes all the difference. Worship HIM every day you live..gather in one accord with other CHRIST followers any day you can and you will be honoring GOD by worshiping His Son.
So you're saying we should become like that nations, and follow what they say to follow? How are we to set ourselves apart from the world if we do this?

Jesus disagrees (Mt 22:40).

I agree that their was a change in the law concerning the temple and the Levitcal priesthood.
If one says that the entire law has been made void,
Which is precisely what the NT states:

The entire Mosaic regulations regarding defilement, purification, foods, sacrifices, priesthood, ceremonies, feasts, blessings and curses
have been set aside (Heb 7:18) and
the old covenant made obsolete (Heb 8:13)
because they were weak and useless (unprofitable) to make perfect,
and a better hope is introduced in the new covenant (Heb 7:18-19; Lk 22:20)
where the Mosaic law on which the old covenant was based
has been replaced with the Law of Christ (Mt 22:37-40; 1Co 9:21; Gal 6:2)
which has no curse for imperfect obedience, and which fulfills, accomplished, completes, finishes
the law of Moses (Mt 22:40) as a means of righteousness by law keeping.

then so is the law of love,
Nope. . .not according to the Law of Christ. . .you're making it up again as you go along.

The Law of Christ is given for the new covenant (Lk 22:20) and
is the law written on our hearts (Jer 31:32) by the Holy Spirit.

unless of course we make up our own interpretation of it
The "own interpretation" taking place here is the one which denies the clear NT teaching
in Heb 7:18-19, 8:13, 1Co 9:21, Gal 6:2; Mt 22:37-40; Lk 22:20, etc.

as to what we want to believe in half truth which is no truth.
Is that why you keep altering, futzing and embellishing the NT word of God,
because you regard it as only "half truth" which you need to complete?

Yuck. . .

I do not accept that the Old Covenants contents was made void.
It is only the covenant, not what it contained.
Oh, for cryin' out loud. . .the covenant is what it contained. . .that's all it is.

That's what the deceiver does. If the law was made void
The law given to the people (Heb 7:11) at Sinai was
fulfilled by Christ (Mt 5:17)--accomplished, completed, finished as justification,
changed with the change of the priesthood (Heb 7:11-12),
set aside as weak and useless (unprofitable) to make perfect (Heb 7:18-19),
abolished in the flesh of Christ on the cross (Eph 2:15) as the means of justification,
replaced with the Law of Christ (Mt 22:37-40; 1Co 9:20-21) in the new covenant (Lk 22:20).

This is the word of God spoken in the words of the Son in these last days (Heb 1:1-2)
through the NT writers.

The Holy Spirit give us to believe the NT word of God it, not to try to unseat its clear teaching.

It is not the Spirit of God who seeks to unseat the clear teaching of the word of God,
which he himself authored in Heb 7:11-12, 18-19; Eph 2:15; Mt 22:37-40; 1Co 9:20-21, etc.

then Paul would have never said faith is what establishes it. Ya cannot establish something that doesn't exist.
"Doesn't exist" is your own misrepresentation of what the NT actually states. . .
You do a lotta' that.

The law which has been set aside as justification can be established it on its right basis. . .
subject to the law of grace,
not as a means of justification/righteousness,
only as a means of sanctification/righteousness through the obedience of faith by the Holy Spirit,
powerless to curse or to make holy, which is the work of the Holy Spirit through obedience to God's NT commands, instructions and exhortations.

Stop it with the pious posterings and deliberate misrepresentation of your unbelief in the NT word of God. . .

The law only says to circumcise the foreskin of the heart.
Wrong. . .read it again.

That is also new testament doctrine. Physical circumcision was not first endorsed through Moses.
Moses doesn't "endorse" anything. . .give it a rest. . .he presents what God legislates.

It was never a part of the original law physically, but circumcising of the heart was and is a substantial part contrary to being stiff-necked, as you endorse "I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves."
Yes, I endorse Paul. . .

Circumcision of the flesh is in the law. . .read it.

Oh, it's not for lack of information (saying enough) or understanding.

It's simply for lack of belief.

Ah.. and from mercy also :D

God bless you brother!

Rom 8
33.
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth.
34. Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

let it be know I wrote these all out of love.
Gal.5:18-26
18. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. [TABLE="class: MsoNormalTable, width: 100"]

When Jesus came and died for us he took away the old testament laws!!! And that is the simple truth! .... That is what Jesus ordered .... (where ?)
Does that include the 'Ten Commandments' ? They no longer apply ?

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."

" For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
