I really don't want to debate rather Hell Is eternal or not,but this is something that always bothered me. I can't stand the thought of anyone going to hell! The idea is so real to me. I get anxiety thinking about it. A 16 year old boy drowned the other day in a river and I couldn't help thinking, was he saved?? So the question is...As Christians, how do you deal with eternal hell fire? I've know pretty moral people that didn't know Jesus that have died...I can only wonder where their at. I'm no better than them except I have a savior..I look at America and see people mocking God,Mocking Jesus, mocking Christians...No one wants sound docterine anymore. America's rebellion and wickedness has made it hard to even witness to people...I'm getting off track...back to the question! How do you deal with Hell??

Every man, woman and child are in the hand of the righteous, fair and just God...there will be no one in heaven who has not trusted into Christ in a biblical manner and the ones who end up in hell will deserve to be there.....having said that....there are allusions to the apparent level of sufferings afforded to the people in hell and in my view...it will be hotter and harder to bear for some...Jesus said it will be more tolerable for some.........even though it will still be eternal suffering in the lake of fire!<---death and hell are cast into the lake of fire......!

My heart hurts to see people suffer too
But remember to. The unforgiven will be there. The unforgiven is one type of person that does wrong. Its a person with no remorse...no guilty conscience...and no care for others or the sin. Those bound to hell...are those that found pleasure in being evil commiting sin...they delight in sin...more than they love God.

I pray for those I am undoubtful. Leave it in Gods hands and remember God reads peoples minds when we cannot. People may live to nearest perfections physically to us...have us all fooled. Trust in the Holy Spirit. Remembering God is love...but God does not tolerate evils or immorality. God is NOT going to send someone to hell if they deserve Heaven.

This is my opinion so please forgive me if you disagree. But I know Gods Love...and I know Gods anger . Believe me God is NOT going to confuse the two.

Good luck finding answers you seek
Forgive my opinion if you disagree. I tried my best with Holy Spirit to explain

Good day

i personally deal with it by throwing my entire future on the Righteousness of the Lord Jesus and the vast and precious promises of God. :)

and i try really hard not to, er, judge the Judge.

right but as Christians we are to be a witness to unbelievers and when they reject the gospel simply cause they "don't believe",it's heart breaking..one example is my brother who just doesn't believe it until he sees it....and in his eyes there's nothing wrong with how he lives..sin doesn't even exist in his world...we're not here just to walk a righteous life but to win souls to Christ...and when they are rejecting it,it is a constant reminder of where they could be going...

Just curious.... who here "snapped to", and fell in love with Christ because they were threatened with Hell?

For GOD to be the just GOD that HE is...Hell would be the total opposite of what we would expect Heaven to be like. Yes, I believe in eternal hell as much as I believe in an eternal heavenly home. Could there be different levels? I honestly don't know...because I look at it through earthly eyes. GOD originally did not make hell for people..it was made for those fallen angels who followed lucifer as he was kicked out of heaven. JESUS shared this with the 70 disciples HE had sent out ahead of HIM into a region just to cast out demons before JESUS got there. JESUS tells us that He saw "Satan fall from the skies like Lightning". It was that quick! Those that follow satan need to spend their future time with their leader...that is common sense..however, my heart aches for them....knowing that it is a simply task to ask JESUS into their lives and that one act can change their future destination. Without a doubt, your deep spiritual concern for them only means that GOD has a unique mission for you...one that can help spread the Gospel to others to keep them out of hell. I encourage you to seek your spiritual gifts, as mentioned in the New Testament...and get busy! You will not regret it.

A couple points to ponder Willie.....

1. God turns men to DESTRUCTION and the expected response is to repent and turn from their wicked ways...
2. The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of KNOWLEDGE....
3. JESUS forewarned the people around him of whom they should fear....the one that can kill and cast into hell...

It is not unbiblical to use HELL/LAKE of Fire as a motivator to convince people to get right and trust into JESUS.....

Obviously the LOVE of God is also a valid tool that can also be utilized to win the LOST!

So, you came to Jesus out of fear, then?

Jesus did say that it would be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah than Capernaum, Bethsaida and Chorazin in the day of judgment....?

Not me...why do you ask?
I ask, because trying to strike fear into people to get them to turn to God seems to be very prevalent, and I was just wondering if the people who espouse this method had originally, themselves, responded because they saw it as fire insurance.

Both..... I knew I was a sinner and did not want to go to hell and suffer in the blackness of darkness forever and I also understood that Jesus loved me and made a way for me to escape if I would trust into his saving faith........the majority of people I have witnessed to on a personal basis have asked me what it meant to be saved and saved from what! Look.....the point I am making is the simple fact that Jesus acknowledge hell and utilized it on numerous occasions as well as numerous inspired writers of the bible...it is not unbiblical to do such as some need to hear it....

you're right, dcon.
we need to see God's Law and how we've broken it to know our desperate need of a Savior.

I would never want to go to heaven if I was just afraid of going to hell.... There has to be more than do what I say or you will BURN....that just never motivated me to love God and I think it is off putting to more people than the Blond....Hell fire preaching bothers me and scaring people into salvation to me is the wrong way to go about it.

So then you have a problem with JESUS......on numerous occasions he used HELL as a warning to those around him........and the FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge....Proverbs 1:7..........

Quite the opposite for me. I heard at a young age that we have a Brother named Jesus who loves us, watches over us and joyfully awaits the day we will be with Him in Heaven. Its all about love!

I can't tell you the number of people I have heard say, "You expect me to love a god who tells me that If I don't, then he is going to roast me alive?"
