Seeing a thread about Joyce Meyer, there's something I've never understood, about name it and claim it, about prosperity gospel. You are are supposed to be "sowing that seed" with your "love offerings" to that sanctified Post Office box, $10 from a widow, who's skimping on her medicine, needed to help build that swimming pool? The widow you promised a hundred fold return? Needed to buy that jet?
Like Creflo Dollar says he needs a $65,000,000 jet. Why doesn't Creflo Dollar give away $650,000 to the poor or some churches, and buy his jet with his hundred fold return? That would only cost him the equivalent of a few Bentleys and baubles, like Rolex watches. If only enough mojo for a ten fold return, he could double-down once, right?
Better still, why don't they just simplify everything, and name and claim their swimming pools and jets? Why all the money grubbing, as if what they teach doesn't work? Seems if there were any truth in what they're saying, I'd be advertising for people needing free money after every pitch, oops, I mean, sermon, couldn't give it away fast enough! Maybe name and claim that bigger mansion. Shoot! No offense meant to builders, I'd just name and claim the Taj Mahal, except does anybody know if it has indoor plumbing?
There are so many things that just don't make sense of all sorts of doctrines, which you don't get any satisfying answers to. I wonder why this is?
Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(Wonder if they ever get spooked over camels and eye of needle scripture? Just sayin'... Next: If Creflo Dollar were Mexican, would he be Creflo Peso? Or Vietnamese, Creflo Dong?)
