Is it a sin to communicate or associate in any way with non believers? I've read a few bible verses that say not to be yoked with non believers. Is this more of an advice or if I did associate with non believers, would it be a sin? Especially famous people who are atheists and agnostic, is it a sin to be fans of them?

Jesus commands us to go into the world and preach the gospel. How could we do that if we never spoke to non-Christians. Being unequally yoked is more about marriage or possibly even just having an unbalanced amount of time with non-Christians.

Far as being fans of famous people, what difference does it make what they believe? How does that affect you? Only way it may be a problem is if it's music that frequently expresses such beliefs.

I like a person because they are kind and gentle and intelligent and funny and sporty and generous plus a whole lot of other things. But what religion they are isn't part of it. Ive learnt here in this site that u can call yourself a Christian and not be a very kind or even likeable person. So... its not enough for me that a person calls themselves a Christian and expect to be my friend

We need to communicate with non-Christians to have a chance of evangelising them into the Christian faith. If we didn't communicate with non-Christians, our faith would die out. I read recently that Bear Grylls found God in the Alpha course; he was evangelised into the Church of England. How could this have been achieved without communication? There are a huge number of non-Christians in this world - 2 out of 7 billion are Christians, which leaves 4 - 5 left, it would be stupid to say that we can't talk to them.

Fans? humm...therein lies the issue...We can surely appreciate and enjoy the talents of people..I like Elton John songs, but do I support his same sex marriage? No...I like a lot of country music and some of it's entertainers, but do I go chasing women, drink beer at honky tonks and curse between my teeth as I chew a weed? No Was everybody automatically born a CHRIST follower? No...Aren't you glad that someone ASSOCIATED with you, a non-Christian and non-believer? yes!!!!!!! Is it a SIN to be 'fans' of agnostics and atheists? NO.....otherwise...do atheists turn to other atheists to find JESUS CHRIST? No....Can or should they turn to you to find JESUS? Uh, if you have issues and hangups over them..sadly..the answer is NO.......and that would be a great loss.

My Opinion,
of that is :

All I want to say,
Me,
I do my own daily routine,
I don't put myself in troubles of others unbelievers,
I just don't hang out with them,
(I'm trying to explain myself)
Anyway, seriously here In Quebec, Canada,
it's tough to find who's really Christian ...

From experience I would say if hanging out with unbelievers causes you to start acting like them then I would say stay away from them. My father hangs out with a bunch of his friends that he had when he wasn't a christian. Three are atheists and another is an agnostic. I can tell when he is around them a lot because he acts differently like cussing a lot more and basically talks about things that shouldn't be talked about. So yeah just make sure they don't change you.

Marc.2
16And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
