Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

[TD="colspan: 3, align: left"] Imagine if God were to visit you in a dream tonight and ask you what He could do for you. What would you say to Him? Would you ask Him to give you a deeper knowledge of Jesus our Lord?
God’s Word tells us that when you receive revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, it will cause grace and peace to be multiplied in your life. It will cause you to receive all things that pertain to life and godliness.
What is grace? It is the unmerited, unearned and undeserved favor of God shown to us. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s grace. But the more we learn of the beauty and love of our Lord Jesus, the more we see His perfect work on the cross, and the more we position ourselves to receive a multiplication of God’s grace in our lives.
The verse says that peace too, is multiplied to us through the knowledge of Jesus our Lord. The peace of God sets our hearts free from fear, stress, worries, anxieties and cares. Wouldn’t you want to have the peace of God presiding over your heart always?

God’s divine power has given us all things that pertain not just to godliness, but to life as well. Wouldn’t you say that health, money, a good job and a nice home for your family pertain to life? Well, all these things and everything else which God has already given is released to you through the knowledge of Jesus our Lord.

So let’s ask God every day, “Father, give me wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.” For to know Jesus is to have grace and peace multiplied to us. To know Jesus is to receive all things pertaining to life and godliness!

The thing is., most Christians don't believe God has given us ALL things pertaining to life and godliness. Instead, they look around at the sadness of the world and focus on those things we are admonished not to focus on and give more weight to. Most people listen to the CNN reports and are filled with the news of the world and give more weight to that, than they do the reality of God's promises.

So., when we do not believe His word or give weight to it, we do not see it's revelation in our lives. Faith means taking God at His Word and trusting Him to come through with what He says. Looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Do we want to be like Jesus? To love others the way He loves us? Can we do this in our own strength? nope. We love Him because He first loved us...
Do we need a job to live and support ourselves? Do we need money to pay our bills? Do we want to take care of our families? Do we want to stay healthy and keep our children and loved ones healthy? Do we want our lives to reflect Jesus? Do we want to go to a Bible preaching church? The answer to most of these questions would be a yes., and most of us are seeking to do these things today in our daily life.

Each person here on CC has a computer and internet access. The very idea so many Christians have about holiness is being in a hut with some bread and water and a Bible. Yet again, the truth is we are all using the internet and have computers. Many have families...a home...a job... How did we get these things? God gave them to us as we worked and were responsible adults.
If some Christians have more than others that is not for us to judge their heart and life. We do not know the struggles when these brothers and sisters began their ministries. We were not there when the seed was planted.... we were not there with them in their struggles but the Lord was. We didn't see the small plants from those seeds that were planted. But we do see now the HUGE fruits of what was first a small seed. And now many people find a place to complain and judge. Jumping on the band wagon of the world judging heart motives and assigning guilt on fellow believers where God has not.

If you want to be blessed, believe God for it. Don't get mad when others do believe God and have been blessed abundantly above what they could have asked or thought or dreamed of.

So true, Brother.
More and more l find myself sifting throught the recipe forum.

Did you know that if you just put whip cream on a candy bar you can call it a "cake"?
Did you know if you eat that candy bar with whip cream, and not repent, you're going to hell?

I think l may be mixing the forums up now? Sorry.
No need to apologize! I welcome even blondes. At least your teaching a way out of the candy bar with whipped cream conundrum, which is good news. Keep that up, and your reputation is shot!

A major problem people (including probably most Christians) is fear. Afraid to fly for fear of dying is an example. Many fear success, so won't pursue that. Many fall into deep fear when suddenly holding wealth, so they hoard it, hide it, even try to forget it's there. Many of those will take on an act of being in poverty. It's shameful. Christians ought not fear being wealthy enough to help whoever the Lord sends us to help, without fearing what they might ask for.

Before being able to even help someone pay their light bill I helped a friend, whose mother died, clean her house out so we could get it ready for sale. He was desperate for money for her unpaid burial and many other bills. He believed she was poor, and from the looks of her environment, was a hoarder and lacked in many ways. We found a trunk full of unopened Morgan Stanley statements. The woman was a multi-millionaire, yet nobody around her knew. She had so suffered from the effects of the Great Depression of the 1930's that the thought of spending a dime was terrifying to her. Her family continued victims of that tragedy well into the 1950's. Her husband owned a hardware store, had been investing and opening bank accounts since about 1960, buying gold, but only his wife knew. She just couldn't deal with the wealth, didn't want to know how much she owned. In her luggage piled in a closet was banded cash covered with mildew.

Now for my sermon. The Kingdom of Heaven is like......

Jesus made his sermon based on a very wealthy man and the men assigned to manage his wealth. If you think Jesus was capable of using a false doctrine or a matter of wickedness to teach righteousness, then you won't like this sermon from our Lord. He chose an analogy that sets the fearful on edge.

Matthew 25:14-30 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]
For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

Jesus was not speaking of himself, but of a rich man who needed to take a very long trip, having to entrust servants with his estate, like people today use "Trust Officers" to help them manage wealth.

[SUP]15 [/SUP] And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

An ancient Hebrew talent was a measure of our current 1,200 ounces. Those talents could have been copper, silver, or gold. If gold, then one talent today would be worth $1,440,000. If all of it was gold, the man entrusted $11,520,000 into their keeping. Most scholars think the wealthy preferred gold coins which by weight store more value than silver or copper. A bag with 75 pounds of copper would not be impressive towards investing. Silver was common among the rich for general spending in denominations most people could handle. Gold was mostly for saving up or handling big debt, such as a tax. A man could take a couple of gold coins on a trip without it being seen. A comparable value of silver would be too easily found.

[SUP]16 [/SUP] Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]
And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

Wealth was doubled by wise business deals.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

Like the woman that died.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Keep in mind this is told by Jesus to describe the kingdom of heaven. The man made the servant a partner.

[SUP]22 [/SUP] He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
[SUP]23 [/SUP] His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Blessings were not according to percent of performance, but being trustworthy, doing the right thing.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
[SUP]25 [/SUP] And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

How many times did Jesus command "Fear not"?

[SUP]26 [/SUP] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
[SUP]27 [/SUP] Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

He should have at least put the money in a savings account drawing interest. Instead, he operated in fear, judging the rich man.

[SUP]28 [/SUP] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

The rich man gave the servant with 10 talents that one talent, seeing the man would do the right thing with it.

[SUP]29 [/SUP] For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
[SUP]30 [/SUP] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

So it is that even though God gives wealth for establishment of his kingdom, many fail to ever taste of that even when wealth goes through their hands, being unable to do significant things for the kingdom, instead cursing those who do receive and have fun spending and giving for the sake of the kingdom of heaven.

Making that parable only having to do with spiritual things is a false doctrine. Jesus didn't tell lies and impossible facts to teach truth.

Those tend to live a life of gnashing of their own teeth in despair, full of covetousness, jealous of the wealth of another. They are blind to how Christians can be and often are no truster in riches, but do in fact distribute wealth, helping ministries start up and grow, keeping church doors open.

The fearful don't have riches because of this: James 4:1-3 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

So how does a fearful person deal with ministers who preach Christ, who preach all the New Testament scriptures, who do ask and receive, keep receiving tremendous blessing, resulting in ever more people saved than ever in history, ever more new congregations around the world, taking all sorts of blessings to hurting people in far away lands, if they are spending it on their own lust?

Don't be a Chicken Little. Be an overcomer, a friend of God, someone daring to believe for and ask God for something you haven't been able to imagine yet. Damning ministers who are actually taking Christ around the world will not gain respect from God. That is a form of shooting one's own foot, or cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I suggest you investigate what that jet is actually being used for. Obviously you don't know yet. Creflo is just one of many "Paul Level" ministers globe-trotting for Jesus, needing a bigger and faster plane as the ministries grow. Contributing to pay for a pound of plane a month has not hurt me, while we remain blessed, having all our needs met according to His riches.

Invest in the kingdom, where good seed is planted. I hope this site doesn't become a huge tare plantation. Sow truth.

Well said Brother... another excellent post for those in need on CC. May your posts increase in number as the need has increased. :)

There was a time in church history when such blatant false doctrine would not be tolerated.

what happened?

That complaint reminds me of too many people I've heard curse rich Christians while defending George Soros, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and other liberal radicals who are getting rich off the poor, and strong-arming corporations by threatening racial troubles if not obeying them. Why must Christians never be wealthy? There's no commandment prohibiting that, though one particular rich young man caught Jesus' attention. A rich man supplied his tomb. Should Jesus have refused to arise from that one, leaving it for use by a wicked man instead?

For the record, most mega church preachers like Dollar have been investigated sufficiently. Dollar and others don't take a dime of salary from churches. They sell media materials they authored, which are wildly popular. From what I've read most donate a huge part of their sales. it's apparent to me they are being blessed by God just like the Lord taught them it should be.

Would you have condemned Abraham for his wealth in his day, or worse today? It was enormous, and so was that of Job. If not, why not? Abraham was a friend of God. Are you? Is there some jealousy or covetousness at hand among those condemning people blessed by God?

Some folks here hate the idea of tithing to support ministry. They like the idea of tipping a church a few bucks once in a while, calling that a freewill offering that pleases God. But when a call goes out for an offering of any amount, they are offended, yet obviously are tuning in as free-loaders worried some poor widow will not be blessed for giving a dollar. How else shall anyone know of needs of ministries, but that ministers ask for offerings?

if anyone gives an offering according to the terms of 2 Cor 9, then they will be blessed to the extent of 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Else the scriptures are a lie, and we all just stay home without hope. Not me! Dollar and thousands who actually apply his teachings are living proof. Dollar and the others similar to WOF are teaching it the way the Bible says it. Poor men preach poverty is a blessing, so the poor hold onto every dime they can, and remain servants to dimes, unable to give a dollar to any good cause. The numbers prove that, counting up the poor and powerless.

Giving apart from the terms of proper giving is a useless activity, devoid of blessing.

Hate tithing? Hate biblical offerings? Hate people who are giving away millions a year to other people? What else is hated here?

An ancient Hebrew talent was a measure of our current 1,200 ounces. Those talents could have been copper, silver, or gold. If gold, then one talent today would be worth $1,440,000. If all of it was gold, the man entrusted $11,520,000 into their keeping. Most scholars think the wealthy preferred gold coins which by weight store more value than silver or copper. Gold was mostly for saving up or handling big debt, such as a tax. A man could take a couple of gold coins on a trip without it being seen. A comparable value of silver would be too easily found.
Jesus could have probably used anything, but, you gotta admit it wouldn't have worked well if the man that buried the one talent had buried a cow.

So it is that even though God gives wealth for establishment of his kingdom, many fail to ever taste of that even when wealth goes through their hands, being unable to do significant things for the kingdom, instead cursing those who do receive and have fun spending and giving for the sake of the kingdom of heaven.
The import of this passage is about "stewardship" not just money. Minister's have stewardship over the church (1Cor.4:1-2). Christians are also said to be steward's of God, of God's gifts and graces (1Peter 4:10).
The example of the "one talent" man is that he is a mere professor.

if anyone gives an offering according to the terms of 2 Cor 9, then they will be blessed to the extent of 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (KJV)
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
I showed you that your prospertiy position you claim in 2Cor.9:10,11 is unfounded (you didn't reply) because 2Cor.8:2 shows that the according to 2Cor.9:7 "God loves a cheerful giver" and the people in 2Cor.8:2 were in "deep poverty" yet they abounded in the "liberality" of their giving. In other words,"the riches of their liberality" showed their "rich generosity" even tho they were in "deep poverty".

All 2Cor.9:11 is sayin is that God will "supply their needs" becasue 9:11 says they would be enriched in "everything" not just money, and yet the givers in 8:2 were not rich financially so God must have been supplying other needs instead of money.

Creflo Dollar is a man who knows the word and preaches it WELL. You should listen to him sometime, if you can get past your strong barrier of judgmentalism.

LadyLynn, I won't use the "reply with quote" button to rebut your quote from the false WoF teacher, Joseph Prince. But I will give you a link to read.

The End Time: Why there are so many false prophets?

He misuses the word "repent" to say it is "changing from negative thinking" instead of turning from your sin. For someone to say that is to condemn them to not knowing the gospel.

"Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out," Acts 3:19

When I read things like this, it is no wonder I get so upset about such an evil and twisted movement that these false teachers are building, and I have to shake my head at people who fall for these unbiblical lies!

Actually, they speak the truth of the word under the Lord's anointing. Perhaps you don't want to hear it.

This is ridiculous. Joseph Prince is an anointed man of God. He hasn't said anything in error about repentance. You people are overly critical and nit-picky. It comes off as self-righteous complacency and even as bad as rebellion.

This is a question for you, and everybody, and one I'd like to just bow out and see what people willing to answer this have to say.

When you look at any so-called Christians, living in obscenely conspicuous consumption, do you see anything wrong with this, and, if so, what? (Or just say you don't see anything wrong with it, then, all honest answers appreciated, whether agreeable, or not.)
This place is really going to the dogs. Especially from the "Lord, Lord" cheerleading crowd, you can get screens full of dissertations on glories of the Creflo, but nary an answer to a simple question. (Again, the question is for all, those who see a big old horse fly in the ointment, also.)
