Therefore is a logical indicator, it refers back to what has been taught and leads to a summary statement......it indicates a conclusion based upon the preceding scripture and can stand alone as absolute truth......Notice the conclusions that Paul makes under inspiration of the Holy Spirit.....

[SUP]20 [/SUP]Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
[SUP]28[/SUP]Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

The summary statements are clear and the following absolute truths can be gleaned and applied biblically....

1. No Flesh justified (rendered innocent) by the deeds of the law, the law gives the knowledge that we are sinners
2. The righteousness of God is manifested in JESUS who was witnessed to by the law and prophets
3. The righteousness of GOD dia Christ and his faith is unto all and upon all that BELIEVE (have faith) God's righteousness is imputed unto me dia faith
4. All continually sin and fall short of the glory of God (look up verb tense of sin) all are SINNING and CONTINUALLLY FALLING SHORT of the GLORY of GOD
5. We are rendered INNOCENT (justified) by the grace of the FATHER dia the buy back that is found in JESUS
6. Christ is the payment (propitiation) for our sin dia the blood of Christ and THROUGH FAITH (belief)
7. He (Heavenly Father) is JUST and the JUSTIFIER of the ones who BELIEVE IN JESUS (exercise faith)
8. NO ability of men to boast in ANY WORK (Paul gloried in the cross of Christ)
9. THEREFORE the conclusion is that a man is justified (rendered INNOCENT) by FAITH without the deeds of the law (works of the law, keeping the law, doing the law)

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to SAVE them that BELIEVE!

THEREFORE is a SUMMARY CONCLUSION and POINTS TO AN ESTABLISHED CONCLUSION of TRUTH!

'Believe' in whose word/teaching, who called us to 'practice' and 'abide' and 'bear much fruit' and in 'oneness' therefore find their 'way'. 'truth' and 'life', to 'GOD's place of rest'?

Yes, the conclusions you point out are truth, therefore they are likely to be disputed, Bro! But I just don't have time for this now, need to go work on my salvation, unsure if the Lord is impressed with me enough today.

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:[SUP]2 [/SUP]By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Numerous absolute truths blare from these two verses.......

1. We have been justified (rendered legally innocent) by faith (belief)
2. Because of being rendered legally innocent we have peace with God (Heavenly Father) dia JESUS CHRIST
3. Because of being rendered legally innocent dia Christ, the ensuing peace with the Heavenly Father and positioning of grace where we currently stand we can glory in the anticipation of the honor, praise and worship of GOD!

This too is an absolute conclusion of truth based upon the justification given dia Christ to believers who have exercised faith into the blood of Christ as payment for sin!

So when you sin who are you of, and who does those works? :)

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Romans 5:18-21

[SUP]18[/SUP]Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
[SUP]21 [/SUP]That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord

More absolute truth to be gleaned under the banner of a logical conclusion based upon truth. Notice....

1. Therefore....Because of Adam's sin the judgment of condemnation came unto all men...
2. By the FREE GIFT righteousness is extended unto ALL men dia JESUS
3. Because of Adam's disobedience many (all humanity except Jesus) are made sinners
4. By the obedience of one (JESUS) many shall be made righteous...
5. The law was given to testify of humanities fallen sinful state and gives strength to the sinfulness of sin
6. Where sin abounds...GRACE OUTBOUNDS SIN...Grace did much more abound and has the ability to cover our sin as we sin dia Christ
7. Sin reigns unto death, but GRACE reigns unto eternal LIFE dia JESUS and his righteousness....

You know God is fair and just.....it is not my fault that I was born with a sin nature from Adam as I had no choice in that decision and that is why the righteousness of God dia JESUS and HIS OBEDIENCE is extended unto humanity dia faith.....I have no decision in my nature that I am born with, I have no ability to help with my redemption as that is the work of Christ...all I can do is believe I am a sinner from my father's nature (ADAM) and by faith acknowledge the buy back from my HEAVENLY FATHER found in Christ and through Christ....

The just shall live by faith....believe and be saved.......!

You should look the word committeth up and study it......as it means to abide or continue in sin and does not carry the idea of someone who occasionally falls and sins or one who occasionally fails and sins...it carries the idea of one who abides in an unrepentant state who continually walks in sin.......for those who are in Christ the above is true....where sin abounds...grace did much more abound! and John was clear....If YOU are one saying that you have no sin or that you don't sin (occasionally) you are deceived and the truth is not IN YOU........

And they overlook the b part of the verse. Did He destroy the works of devil or did He not?

Well commit is a pretty simple word to understand, no need for you to carry your own idea about what you think the scriptures should say. He that committeth [SUP]G4160[/SUP] sin [SUP]G266[/SUP] is [SUP]G2076[/SUP] of [SUP]G1537[/SUP] the devil; [SUP]G1228[/SUP]

The KJV translates Strongs G4160 in the following manner: do (357x), make (113x), bring forth (14x), commit (9x), cause (9x), work (8x), show (5x), bear (4x), keep (4x), fulfil (3x), deal (2x), perform (2x), not tr (3x), misc (43x), vr do (3x).

No need for word wrangling. :)

I suggest you study a little deeper than cutting and pasting Strong's....you might find some truth...! And on top of that the KING JIMMY was translated and transliterated by 54 Episcopalian Priests who erroneously believe in a false state religion of works and the loss of salvation!

It also means to continue, to abide, and has a wide application in classical Greek!

Good come back. LOL Everything is erroneous when you don't agree with it right? :) Don't let the Truth get in the way of your man-made doctrine now. :)

You really should take your own advice....it might wise you up a bit to the truth......not only is the definition of the word correct that I gave you, but context supports that a saved child of God will sin occasionally, but not live a continual lifestyle of sin.....

2nd Corinthians 5

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.[SUP]18 [/SUP]And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

More awesome truth to be gleaned from the use of Therefore which is a logical conclusion and summary statement...notice the following...

1. If a man is in Christ (by faith) he is a NEW CREATION all of the old things are passed away and behold all things are new....OUR life is now HID within CHRIST and the Heavenly Father sees us dia the blood of HIS SON JESUS...

2. We have been reconciled unto the Heavenly Father dia Jesus Christ and have been given the ministry of
reconciliation...reconciled means to change mutually I.E. reconcile.

3. God the Father was in Christ (reconciling) the world unto HIMSELF and NOTICE.....NOT IMPUTING their trespasses unto them....why? Because our sins have been nailed to the cross when Jesus became SIN for us and in turn imputed HIS righteousness unto US by faith......while committing unto us the WORD of reconciliation......

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of GOD........

The just shall live by FAITH!

And why do you pit scripture against scripture?

Why not discuss what DC has brought up?

Please explain how DC is wrong with the scriptures he has brought up.

Maybe you should write your own version of the Bible seeing how you disagree with many of the words, meanings, and verses found in it. (the gospel according to D-con) Catchy huh? :)

Why don't you just address the verses and thoughts brought up in the OP?

Please exegete them for us if he has them wrong.
