What a miracle is the mind of Man, that so much cleverness has been spent upon producing stupidity. - Collen McCulllough

Oh dear me no, clever and wise are worlds apart. I know many people who are clever, many who are wise and a few who are clever and wise. But most of the people I know who are clever are not wise.

Clever is knowing how to do something neat.
Wise is knowing whether or not it should be done.

I think my trainer may be trying to kill me. She has the face of an angel; however, she's totally going to kick my butt.

So I felt the need to use up the last of my whipping cream before it goes bad, so I whipped it up with some sugar, vanilla, cocoa, and peanut butter and we'll see if it makes good fake ice cream or not. It's sitting in the freezer now. Of course last time I tried something similar it worked out ok but froze so hard that digging it out with a spoon ended up breaking the glass container it was in. Didn't slice my hand to bits that time, but don't want to try my luck with broken glass again.

I have had a GREAT day today. My health is FINALLY turning around. I've felt MUCH happier today. I've been watching my diet veery closely. I've been staying away from gluten, and actually I've been staying away from grains a little bit, too. I've had some dairy, such as goat milk. But that was just for supper. Other than that, I've been really good about it. And hopefully, I'll find plenty of places to eat while I'm on my trip.

Oh, and so you guys know, even though I'll be bringing my laptop, I won't have any internet connection while I'm there (unless I borrow my dad's), because my computer's broken and doesn't connect to any outside networks beyond my home network. It's silly, and I've no idea how to fix it. It's barely been functioning correctly as of late. But it's been good enough to do just about everything I want.

I did a lot of baking today, but I hope that there is new fruit at the market tomorrow. I need something new to play with. Le Sigh.

The Obsidian Berry Cheesecake turned out a deep violet, which is just simply amazing as a food color. It makes me so happy to see it. Four other flavors today.

My food doesn't even have color...

well not on rainy days.
On rainy days all my food looks gray.

I'm off to have some gray salad, and gray soup, with a gray sandwich.

I can't sleep, I've been WAY TOO EXCITED. I have things I need to do tomorrow, though. My sister will be picking me up once she's off work and I'm going to go shopping for things I need and to get dog food.

That's nice to know. Is it the same sister who is moving out?

You don't have to answer my question if you feel it is too personal. :)

Breakfast: Tuna, mayo, lime juice. Swiped on thick slices of sourdough bread one bite at a time. Note to self: be sure to brush teeth before going to work.

lil_christian: I swear I don't know how you people make it without a single bootable Linux disk. Linux is free y'know, and you could get online other places again. And it wouldn't take the place of Windows - reboot and take the disk out and you're back to your standard malfunctioning Windows computer. If you have a blank DVD or even a blank CD you can download Linux and burn it to the disk for free.

^ what he said. I used Ubuntu (and a good friend) to recover all my files from a computer that wouldn't boot windows at all.
just keep in mind that whatever you save in there won't be saved after you restart the CD :p
(or are there any tricks to that too Lynx?)
