Well I know of, as well as the news has shown plenty of Republicans that feel the same way of pulling the confederate flags down along with any monuments to those of the confederate army.
I myself think this is getting out of hand and going a little to far, and it will lead to other issues of people wanting other things taken down just because it might offend them.
I mean should Christians protest to have the Washington monument because it is an Egyptian obelisk, which is a form of an idol...............Get Real this is going to far !!!
Funny how people who will say that black people should just get over slavery are the same people who fight so hard to hold onto an obsolete flag. These men betrayed their nation in order to fight to defend the right to keep their slaves. If people want away this flag of that is our constitutional right but it has no purpose in any government building. Especially for black Americans why should I have to go to the courthouse and see a reminder of the one who oppressed their ancestors.
The thing is the Christian News forum is dominated by people that have a racist agenda. But no one really admits to being racist anymore, so they try to disguise their racist agenda to make it seem like they have a conservative right wing agenda.dy What the White Supremacists do is study Fox News and white supremacist web sites, so they can learn how to support their racist agenda, and also disguise it as a conservative agenda. They are really tricky, you just have to use your discernment to pick them out from the real Christians. Now I'm not saying all conservatives are racist. I'm not a liberal or conservative. I only align myself with Christ. You just have to use your discernment to pick them out. Heck there was even a guy in here talking about how there is going to be a race war some time in the future. He said the blacks dont have enough people so they will be wiped out. The white liberals will side with the black but they will be killed off by their own, etc etc. I mean no one thinks there is going to be a race war but White supremacists. Basically gave himself away.

You need to read the rest of the thread. I've posted several times in this thread and in the Activists want to wipe the Confederacy from our history thread that disproves that statement.
It is if it is is flown on a government building that came out of the CSA. It's history, not bigotry.
Again, it had little to do with slavery. Only five percent of all Southerns prior to the Civil War held slaves. Slavery was dying out. The South was industrializing. That frightened Northern industrialists, because the Southerners were doing it better and cheaper. So they whipped up a false narrative of "barbaric, inhumane slave-holders" -- slavery was barbaric yes, but the slave-holders were virtually all humane beyond the fact they thought they could "own" a human being.
The Northern agenda was not abolishing slavery. There were more abolitionist societies in the South, five times more, than there ever were in the North. The Northern agenda was destroying the Southern economy and holding on to their monopolies. Look for my posts on this and the other thread. I provided links for everything I've said.

However, this flag was incorporated into the flag of the Confederacy in 1863, but was not the flag itself. This is the flag of the army of Robert E. Lee, not the Confederate States of America.

Had you read the rest of the thread, you would have seen we have acknowledged that, and in fact, by the end of the war, it had become the battle flag of the entire CSA Army.
Any reference to it as the "Confederate flag" is shorthand.

Why be everbody condamning southernes whenever given the chance? Theyre coming down on us be it the flag, the accents, the ruralness, the traditions...ever'thing...why we aint good enough, why folks picking on us?

the south being tied to nazi, racism, hatred, etc has always bothered me. i always thought blacks and whites got along fine here. my family is mostly white, i had an Apache grandfather and an Italian grandmother (i know some whites joke that Italians are just barely white) but my moms still very white, blond and blue eye white. my native ancestors got along fine with everyone and my white family never thought different of blacks, and the Italians just sat around eating and watching Seria A football.

Well here in Missouri we were always made fun of by others trying to say we don't know how to spell or say our state's name, just because we use the abbreviated form of MIZZOU !!!
