If a Christian patronizes a company that openly supports sin - is that Christian in a sense supporting whatever that sin is?

There have been many Christians who have called for a boycott of certain companies because of their stance in political issues. However, most of them only boycott a few companies rather than an entire list and I have never heard anyone explain why.

The list of companies a Christian would boycott is very long, but that is not a reason for a Christian to not boycott. I am mentioning this because if you are going to attempt to explain why a Christian should not boycott such companies -do not use this as a reason why.

Yes, IMO, Christians should boycott companies that support or participate in sinful practices....the support of gay rights, homosexual marriage, abortion, fornication...whatever. To not do so is to AGREE with what that company is doing. Just FYI, here are few companies that should be avoided: AARP, United Way, Heinz and its affiliates, Kraft and its affiliates....and there are quite a few more. You can google any company and check them out as to whom they donate monies to.

Yes, but the point is moot. We will not. Just too inconvenient for the comforts in life.

That would probably mean boycotting pretty much everything

Except for maybe Chick-Fil-A........... but then, look at the conditions under which chickens are raised for slaughter. So, I dunno.

Probably prayer more; boycott less

Don't think anyone would notice and if they did, just one more sign Christians are kookoo

Bound to start an arguement now

disclaimer: boycotting houses of ill repute and train stations where the trains are always late excepted

Depends what the company is and if there is another company to replace it. Chances are you're not going to boycott your favorite grocery store, or your phone company, or your car insurance if you drive. These are just a few companies that would be hard for you to boycott altogether.

Also lets not forget to mention the company you work for? Is your company a Christian company? If it's not, are you going to go to your boss and tell him (or her) you're going to boycott? Or maybe even quit? These are all companies, after all.

I've been boycotting Starbucks for years because of their anti-Christian nonsense. I also boycott Exxon unless I'm in the middle of nowhere and in dire need of fuel.

It's funny how our indignant hollering drops to just a whimper when the rubber meets the road.

Would you actively support a company if you knew it was funnelling millions to Planned Parenthood earmarked for abortions?

It's really hard to say.... especially if their salary was paying for my house and cars, and keeping my kids in college.

Absolutely.

If a company did something I didn't agree with, religious or otherwise then I would, and do, express my feelings with my wallet.

Boycotting is not always a viable option. I detest Walmart with every fiber of my being but it's either shop there or go to another local grocery store and pay about 25% more for all my groceries. I'm on a budget and don't have that option

So who wants to go Amish with me?

Nah seriously, I think its according to your conscience. I boycotted the halal butcher because I realized how much many they were getting and growing and that money was probably going to their mosques, even though it was cheaper, God has provided more wisdom and money since then.
