Oh Sweets! I'm not a harsh critic. I love when people cook for me. But, you are off the hook... I can't eat wheat, so I can't try them. :(

No that's Wisconsin. They have four seasons up there - Almost winter, winter, still winter, construction.

Every summer Wisconsin gets all orange and spiky.

I do flash freeze them as I make so many for holidays it takes 3-4 days. 2 weeks before thanksgiving i spend one weekend making BATCHES of Kolachkis freeze them to before cooking and the following weekend I makes BATCHES of Pierogis and freeze after quick boil. I make up gift bags and mail to folks. Lynx... You will just have to hit me up mid Oct and I just might hook you up with a free bag!

Im kinda scared of sending any to Olerica ....professional cheescake woman might be a tough critic!!
Along with the pot./cheese ones, I also make them with sauerkraut, mainly at Easter, they go great with the k'basi, but I make them 3 or 4 times a year and also will be happy to share...more in next post...

Olè, isn't there a gluten-free flour or maybe a potato or rice flour we could probly use in our recipes? I will search for a way for you. Piroghies are a must-try item. Like cheescake. I wouldn't be surprised to find a thread titled 'Am I Truly Saved if I never had Piroghies?' (or cheesecake?) Lol :)

ChickSticks, my recipe uses sourcream in the dough, does yours as well? (Don't give away g'mom's recipe) Also when making piroghies, I usually make 'pogache' and we also have 'hrudka' with them at Easter. I'll happily share these treats with you, maybe we can even ship/trade frozen piroghies, although I generally freeze mine before boiling if I have to, and don't know anything about 'flash-freezing' at home, or I'll freeze after sautèeing in butter and thinly sliced onions, but they're never as good re-heated as they are hot from the pan. Feel free to connect, it's your call. Hallelujah Anyhow! :)

Sydlit - gluten free flour works differently than wheat does. It doesn't stretch like wheat flour, for one. But thanks for thinking of me.

I could go for a HUGE plate of Haluski right now though.

No problem, my dough doesn't need to stretch that much, and the sourcream gives it more pliability. I'm going to experiment with it on my own, and potato flour as well, it might be a new thing for 'no-gluten' folks that never tried them, Plus I like to cook anyway, so it may be a double blessing. Won't force the issue, it's your call, but I'll re-try posting about it near Christmas, Lord willing. Just wanna make sure you don't lose your salvation over 'piroghie-rejection'. (It's a JOKE...KIDDing, tell the self-righteous thought police not to report me. IT'S JUST A JOKE. :)

Sorry, was away. I did not know they had a Canadian counterpart. Are they called Yeh? (Sorry)
Haha, don't be!

Their Canadian counterpart would be Rush.

I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain I.B.M.

bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum...

This beat reminds me a little bit of a garden variety, repetitive, electronic drum beat.

Unst unst unst unst unst unst and boots and cats and boots and cats and boots and cats...

Oh... right... sorry. You seem to have taste for older 'secular' music (am I allowed to say that here?) for your age. I struggle reconciling my old faves w/new life In Christ. Great musicians, not always great msg. Don't want to tie up thread, just wondering your opinion.

Streams of Consciousness & Thoughts, mate. If thoughts don't go here, they go everywhere else - sometimes dangerously so. :)

I've shied away from the stuff that was openly disrespectful to Him. There's still a lot of "secular" musicianship I really appreciate that may not glorify our savior, alas. I've tried to get into Christian music, but have only found maybe two Christian artists that I enjoy a few songs by, and then singles here and there by others.

And naturally, as I'm typing this, "A Farewell to Kings" is playing on my Spotify playlist. So yes, I'm certainly an old soul, so to speak (and a glutton for prog rock). The long and short of it: I feel where you're coming from.

Siberian I could probably make some recommendations. Link me some songs you like and I'll see if anything in my collection matches that sound. I have some of everything.

Thx. You'd be surprised the thought-police peanuts that lurk the gallery. Some ppl seem to need to find happiness stealing it or at least neutralizing others, I guess. Btw, Tull fan, per-chance? And whats a spotify, and can I use it to spot-a-spy?!
