The Supreme Court's gay marriage decision was probably a blessing for many of the serious GOP candidates. Because of it they can speak out for state's rights and against the overreaching powers of the Supreme Court (thus stringing along the Christian vote), but they don't actually have to speak negatively about gay marriage itself (thus not alienating moderates and fiscal conservatives who don't care about social issues). Then when they get into the White House they don't actually have to do anything about it since it has already been decided.

For me its less about who gets elected and more about who is actually going to take up the fight... Im mean its true if Hillary gets in the liberal agenda will be in full force Obama x 3 ... but I still think the nation needs a real conservative, with a real backborn...and I believe a person like that could and would get elected. We have been deceived into thinking we need a middle of the road candidate ...its hasn't worked and it wont work in my view.

Seriously, though, FDR was a terrible president. Unemployment when he came into office was 17%. Just before Pearl Harbor -- the war ended the depression -- unemployment was at ...
17%. And it never dropped below 14% before that.
He attempted to pack the Supreme Court with six more justices so he'd start winning some court cases for his socialist agenda. The Court kept ruling that his "recovery programs" were unconstitutional based on the fact they demanded wealth redistribution, "training camps" for workers that he wanted to make mandatory, and a tax program that was “based on the philosophy that big fortunes are created by collective rather than individual effort.” Remember Obama's "You didn't build that!" comment? Roosevelt believed the same thing.
Frankly, if you want to understand the battle between left and right that is raging today, if you want to understand the rise of the Tea Party, if you want to understand the agenda of President Obama, then you examine history, putting the language of Roosevelt’s New Deal side-by-side with the language of socialism and the language of the Democratic Party.
A "Rosetta Stone" of sorts that helps with the translation exists in the contemporaneous newspaper accounts of the 1930s. All you have to do is read the words: “share the wealth,” “collectivism” and “wider distribution (read ‘redistribution’) of wealth,” in those news stories to see that Roosevelt was using the same language as Lenin and Marx.
Collectivism, the notion that the group is more important than the individual, is the backbone of socialism, communism and fascism. Little wonder then that FDR and his backers admired Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin, as acknowledged by John Franklin Carter in his sympathetic 1934 book “The New Dealers.” I'm sure it broke FDR's heart to have to go to war with men he actually admired. Few people realize that Fascism as made famous by the Nazis is the just the other side of the same socialist coin as communism. Both are socialist ideologies, rendered in the real world differently.
FDR nearly ruined this country with his socialist idealism. Truman killed it, returning us to capitalism. But Carter, Clinton, and Obama have brought it back. If you liked FDR, then these are his direct heirs, and you shouldn't complain about what they have done.
I, on the other hand, despise them all.

Well C-SPAN hosted a GOP forum yesterday. Here is the full video for anyone that is interested.

The set up is fairly simple, each candidate gets about 5 minutes to speak, and there are two rounds. It's a forum set up, not a debate, so it is more like a little debate preview, if you will. Also Trump, Huckabee, and Gilmore are not in attendance but the rest of the candidates are, so there is not much of a carnival atmosphere, which is good in my opinion. I don't like most these candidates, but I have to say they all did a fairly good job keeping it professional and civil and pretty straight forward.
Of course been keeping my eye on Kasich in this for a while and I think this forum makes a strong case for at least his inclusion into the FOX debate. Kasich did a fantastic job here giving a strong overview of his impressive record of both experience and positive results, insight into his personal background and faith in God, and showed pretty easily how he is the best candidate suited for a 1 vs 1 debate with Hillary Clinton.

Looks like it shall be Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and riding in on the dark horse, John Kasich.
Should be pretty entertaining. I am pleased that Kasich eeked in there. Even if he is the dark horse candidate, I'm hoping this is a good opportunity for him to break forth and show himself to be the best candidate. He all ready is the pragmatic best pick by record, he just needs to get his face out there and get some exposure and recognition with the national public.
