Just wanna invite you to share a good worship song here.

So we can encourage each other with these.

"addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart" Eph 5:19

For me is the song Who am I? from Casting Crowns

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am yours..
I am yours..

there are so many that express what we feel and what the Lord does for us

"The Power of Your Love"
(so hold me close, let your love surround me, bring me near, draw me to your side, and as i wait i'll rise up like an eagle and i will soar with you, your spirit leads me on, in the power of your love)

when everyone else wants to destroy your faith and your strength remember that the Lord gives you everyone faith no matter what you look like, how hard you have worked, no matter if you have children or not, if you have a husband or not, if you have been bad or good, the Lord is not a respector of life like we are

I'd have to say my favourite hymn is "And, can it be that I should gain?", composed in 1738 by Wesley. I'm not a big fan of more "modern" stuff.

“The angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, ‘Arise up quickly.’ And his chains fell off from his hands.” Acts 12:7

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.

’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more!

He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Will your anchor hold through the storms of life,
Whene the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
Will you anchor drift or firm remain,

I like this song because it talks about staying strong in time of trouble.

i could really use someone singing that song to me right now to bring me comfort because i need it
there is so much pain and injustice in this world
and only the Lord can fix it because we are stubborn people

[
I wish the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, I wish that he really saw my pain and healed it and make others stop being the source of my pain.

i just think about how i have had faith and patience for myself and for others and it has been ignored and rejected and this little thought just come to me, it is the Lord, saying Ina I know what you are going through, I went though it, do you think you will escape what i have been through.

but i'm not super human, i might wear out before i need to

it really hurts when you know the truth and and you can't live it or no one will listen

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:

But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,

David Crowder Band - Here Is Our King
From the album A Collision

From wherever spring arrives
To heal the ground
From wherever searching comes the look itself
A trace of what we’re looking for
So be quiet now and wait

Chorus 1:
The ocean is growing
The tide is coming in
Here it is

Chorus 2:
Here is our king, here is our love
Here is our God Who’s come
To bring us back to him
He is the one, he is Jesus, Jesus

And what was said to the rose
To make it unfold
Was said to me here in my chest
So be quiet now and rest

Chorus 1

Chorus 2

Majesty, finally
Majesty, finally here

Chorus 2

Majesty, finally

Lead Me to The Cross by Hillsong United

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdq9Q8wJdjc

Savior I come
Quiet my soul remember
Redemptions hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Chorus:
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh Lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and tried
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you're risen
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Chorus

Bridge:
To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart

Lately for me it is a song by Michael Gungor called "Wrap me in your arms"

Listen here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwsSf2dcie0

There is a God who loves me
who wraps me in His arms
that is the place where I'm changed
and that's where I belong

CHORUS:
Take me to that place, Lord
to that secret place where
I can be with you
and you can make me like you
Wrap me in your arms,
Wrap me in your arms,
Wrap me in your arms...

My faves are: Natalie Grant I will not be moved. Casting crowns as far as the east is from the west. Jeremy Camp, there will be a day. Amazing grace. I listen to a lot of contemporary Christian music but I like some of the music from the old hymnals as well. My Grandmas favorite song was I'll fly away. I also like power in the blood.
