You sound like you live in a city haha. I live in the country and hardly ever heard car horns.
I live in the middle of the city of Montpelier, which is Vermont's capital. I don't hear them alot but when I do, their loud. And there's a river out back of my building. The Winooski River, and it runs all throughout town, so when the river floods, Montpelier floods.
I'll post some pics later and show how Montpelier looked during the flood of 1927 and 1992.
