I wonder why the seach function doesn't return anything on that question, because it has been asked countless times :p

rep power is your ability to give rep (reputation) to others
click the star and select add reputation to any post you feel deserve some extra credit
only the person who received it will see it. you can also add a comment to the "rep".

Elisabet, for every 100 rep points you get a power and a green bar, up to a certain point. Eleven green bars is the most anyone gets. Your post points differ for everyone but with a certain number of posts you get a power. Eventually the mods double the post limit so we don't get powers as quickly. How often you get to 100 rep points depends on the number of rep powers the people repping you have. For example I have 54 powers, so you would gain 54 rep points.. :)

Below this post, there is a star to the left. Looks like a sheriff's badge. Click on it.
A box appears. Click on the Add Reputation bar.

Again, the star is to the left. It is next to the words "Blog this post."

Now try it. Now's the time. Go ahead.

Elisabet, You don't understand my instructions? Or, could it be, you don't want to follow them? Please, click on the badge like star, then on the popup box click on tab Add to Reputation.

Just click on the badge star next to BLOG THIS POST.

See, it's down there to the left.

Elisabet, BEFORE you click the "add to reputation" button, you can leave a comment and/or leave your name so the person you're repping knows who to thank. :)

Ah... I didn't know that about the #points from the rep'er. Now I will view your likes of my posts, as discriminating vs STINGY!

I got two reps one time, and then I couldnt go back to them after it left my notifications. Only one person had left their name the other anonymous and then I had no clue or could thank them. Is there a way to see them?

When you get a notification that you have a rep comment, click on it and it will show you what thread the person repped you on. Also, you can go to the Settings tab up top, and click on that and it will show you. I keep careful track of my number of rep points, and by how many points they go up by when someone reps me. Then I can usually figure out who it is by the number of points that I received. :)

What i still don't understand is what is the difference between like and rep power? Is rep power more 'prestigious' or something maybe?

Umm, I don't really think there is a difference. Though most people probably give reps for a post that they think merits giving rep to. :) For instance, a post that is honest, well-written and gets the point across and inspires others.
