This afternoon, as I was sitting at this table engaged in preparing a dispatch, something seemed to disturb me. Looking up, I beheld standing opposite me a singularly beautiful female. So astonished was I, for I had given strict orders not to be disturbed, that it was some moments before I found language to inquire the cause of her presence. A second, a third and even a fourth time did I repeat my question, but received no answer from my mysterious visitor except a slight raising of her eyes.
By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible. I assayed once more to address her, but my tongue had become useless, as though it had become paralyzed.

I know that this is not an Angelic appearance because their are no female angel's or effeminate male angel's, but I don't discount or belittle this, I am taking this seriously.

I can't believe that no one wants to discuss this, it has been on my mind since I read it.

I don't think you'd like my answer, so I'll just say, look into Washington's dubious background and connections.
Young lad, you have many years to add to your maturity. You would prefer this country to have never been born. We has a country owe a tremendous debt to General and Presiident George Washington who stoled himself alone many times to pray for strength and guidance. He made personal sacrifices that was of a tremendous cost to him.

When his Officers wanted to take him and make him King Washington made his Officers weep and broke their hearts when he made his faility known.

He didn't want to serve a second term as President, preferring to gather a couple of dear friends around the hearth with good conversation, to just be a land own, but he heeded his countrymen's desire to serve.

Washington was first in our hearts and the hearts of out countrymen.

George Washington has been the hero of my heart for decades and he was far better man than you, GodIsSalvation.

You have much to learn.

I think that when we discuss history, we should probably do our best to focus on facts, and evidence.

It's probably getting into a tangent to make someone's age an issue.
For all we know, GodIsSalvation might have 3 PhD's in history.
We simply don't know.

What I find, personally, is that when I treat younger people with respect, they seem to feel a lot better after I use facts and evidence to prove them completely wrong.

Of course sometimes I get proven wrong instead.
: )

But that's ok.

Discussion and debate should be to get at the truth of things,
not to win our case.

Maxwell, I was talking about his age in maturity. Revisionist is tearing down our history. I guess he thinks well of King George, huh?

Didn't think you'd like my answer that's why I said you should look more into his dubious background and connections. Also we owe George Washington nothing at all. Sorry the heroes of modern revisionist propaganda are in history mere mortals at the least and very questionable characters at the most.

The revisionist propaganda is what tries to make them seem all heroic and upright, stuff like the mythical cherry tree story. It belies their true history though. Actual history ain't a pretty thing. That's all there is to it. Ain't nothing against you, but I can't change history. Fact is George Washington, like almost all the so-called Founders, was into some real dubious stuff. Wish I could change it, but I'm 200+ years too late.

Part of maturing is accepting reality for what it really is, and frankly, it's not pretty.
Part of wisdom is rejecting your liberal Democrat's agenda of destroying the truth of America's founding in order at you can pass you humanist agenda's as truth. You Democrat's are destroying America' Godlly Heritage like Issi is destroying ancient temples, Noah's Tomb, and anything that's not of their particular brand of Islam.

What's not pretty is Liberism discrediting the signers of the Declar

You and Maxwell are attacking men who hazarded their lives for this country you both are men who don't benefit this board and are tearing our history down to suit the Liberal Agenda.

Dear people don't believe their venomous poison against the Founding Fathers.

I'm not a liberal or a democrat, but you might want to look into the background of the founders some more. They speak quite much about their fondness for liberalism and I would opine their libertine lifestyles would give the liberals of today a run for their money. Funny enough, it seems they were more into that humanism stuff, considering they are even the forerunners of the backwards ideology of secularism.

As for the Islamic State destroying temples to baal and shrines to Islam's pseudo-characters, indeed, this does not trouble me at all. May the face of all the idols be smashed. Remember the characters in islam/koran are not the same as those in the Bible despite their superficially similar sounding names.

I didn't attack anyone.

And I didn't post one word on this board about ANY of the founding fathers.

Relax. I'm not out to get you.

Well that's assuming this account is even real to begin with. This story did not appear until the 1800s according to the article. The theme in it too implies it to be Civil War era propaganda. Assuming it is real though, one must question whether it was an angel sent by God, or even an angel at all. Washington was involved in some odd stuff whether anyone wants to accept it or not. It's not without reasoning to question this account.

I am a fairly intelleual man who has researched a fair amount about the founder an the Revilutionary War.

I will not particapate with you any more, Thank God for the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Thank God For G. Washington, General Lafayette, and Officer's who wrought us freedom from King George. What they have done for our freedom, far outweighs any charge you will bring against all the Fathers.
