Let's address one gender stereotype at a time.

I never said this place wasn't also full of misandristic individuals as well. Heck some of them are dudes!

The misogyny is pretty bad here at times, that is all that I was stating. I remember (a now censored post) where a man was looking for a robotic sex slave. As hilarious as that is, it wasn't a joke, and therefore was not remotely funny.

I wish it got deep. That would be a welcome change of pace.

If it ever got deep, then maybe someone might listen when five or ten people point out that their singleness may not be a curse but a blessing. Maybe if people got their spiritual affairs in order they'd be more attractive to the opposite sex.

And yes I realize there are others who are perfectly healthy who have not found a mate, and to them I'm truly sorry.

This is a mostly blind post - which means - I didn't read most of the replies in this thread.

I don't care what women want. To ask such a question would mean I'm seeking some common denominator(s) in the opposite sex that makes me the most available to the widest spectrum of females who are also available.

Practically, the common denominators in such a consideration would roughly fall into Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, starting with the base, and moving up. A strong base in meeting and providing physiological and safety needs would be a priority in such considerations ( a level of wealth and position),

but it hardly makes me endearing to the woman who is seeking them. Meeting those needs does not make me unique and precious to her, it only makes me useful to her, and if that usefulness ends or is threatened for whatever reason (such as in illness or loss of lucrative employment) - then so does my value to her.

Therefore I reject the general consideration. I know what it is to be valued and treasured by a woman for who I am, to be loved and even know the sacrifice of such love. I don't want to be available to most women, I want to be available to a very special woman who suits me as I suit her. Someone I can share my weaknesses with, my heart with, and who will look to my best interests as I look to hers.

You know I did hear a interesting fact that it takes women a week on average to get over a heated discussion and a man forgets in about three hours.
 
Women want to feel loved and cherished by their men and that includes plenty of COMPLIMENTS. ;)
 
Oh well....Don't know the answer, but I'm pretty sure I know what they DON'T want.......

tell that to the men who incessintantly break their police reastraining orders and go back to stalk or commit domestic violence to their ex-spouse.
 
Women, in my experience, want respect, they want a man who is a good listener. Sometimes they want things they don't express-- in that case the key is to watch what makes them happy. In bed, my wife does not want sex as often as I do, but she likes signs of affection like cuddling and kissing. Women want control of their domain -- in my wife's case: 1) keeping the financial books (she's an excellent book keeper and budget-keeper, as am I), 2. ordering the house. 3. lawn and garden.

Sorry, I just saw this is a singles forum. I'm married. Oh well. Hope that is ok this once.

Well Mitspa - I know better than to speak for anyone else's country. But yes Domestic violence is an issue in Australia and breaches of restraining orders are ridiculously common. I do know the US stats on this and am happy to post them for you if you'd like.
