So I went to the kitchen just now to make a cheddar sandwich to take to work for lunch. Got out a block of cheddar, and just on a whim I looked in the knife block and found a cheese knife.

WHY HAS NOBODY TOLD ME THIS WAS SO IMPORTANT?!! I always just grab any ole knife to cut a slice of cheese. I finally used a knife made for cutting hard cheeses and it just slid right through the block like it was softened butter! I didn't even have to try to cut it evenly, it just naturally cut a perfectly even slice.

(Insert jokes about "who cut the cheese" here.)

But really, why has nobody ever told me before how important it is to use a knife made for cutting cheese?

Last week some guys broke the doors in my home and they stole my camera, R$ 30,00 or U$ 7,50, my external hard drive and Iphone 1. Well, I lost, maybe R$ 2000,00 or U$ 500. I live in the home with more 3 friends, they lost nothing. I felt my heart diferent, if this circunstance happens some years ago maybe my answer would be diferent, but I did not feel the material loss. I am a sinner but in this circunstance I did a good answer. All day I thought how I will send the photos for my church see my minitrie here in seminary, but i was good with this. Here we have services every wednesday and I was not there because I waited my friend that is a cop. When I heard someone knocking my door for my surprise was another friend and He told me that the church in service was calling me. I live very close the church and I went, for my suprising the church gave me R$ 1500,00 like U$ 370. I dindt have gratitude words but I spoke how I was happy with the church. I am sharing this, no because I received the money, my happiness was with the God's care with me. God is good no because He do good things for me but because He is with and with his sons. If we look around us despite the problems we can see the goodness by God. I am sharing as a way to grow in gratitude. Some times my focus is in the problems and I forget see the God's care in little things like a gift that a old sister gave me, She bougth a sock foot in gratitude for me after bible study class.

Just sharing...

Every time I write out a check for my taxes, I die a little bit inside.
Oh my goodness. I forgot I had tax this year. I paid more for my gaming mouse than my tax. I thank God our tax here isn't that much of a pain.

What a horrible day for consumption and idleness. It's the wee hours of the morning, I've spent hours on this site, didn't eat so well and have lost count of the number of frothy mugs of fermented barley and hops I've had. Bedtime is past due and calling. Very soon.

Someday I'm going to invest in a real end table or coffee table so that I can stop using this old wooden chair with a pre-formed butt dent in it to set my coffee cup on. Because it's annoyingly unstable for coffee cups, particularly when a small child runs past, arms waving, yelling "Emergency! Emergency! Wee-ooo, wee-oooo!" and bumps the cup, sending it into a crazy wobble (courtesy of the butt dent) before it crashes to the floor.

Reasons to buy new furniture: tiny human ambulances and butt dents.
