I understand what you are saying, Lancelot. Don't worry. Some people on here want nothing more than to argue doctrine. Our God desires peace and unity among believers. I have to practice not even responding to them, because they only make me angry...which is really their goal anyhow...so they can point their finger and say..."hey look at them getting angry over "God's Word"....when it really has nothing to do with God's word, but rather their own ignorance. This is done in attempts to raise themselves up above another...to make themselves look and feel better about themselves before God. Do not fall for it. Just ignore them..it takes practice, believe me, lol.
Glad you came on this thread to "not argue" or point fingers and to prove how much you ignore others

I quit drinking many years ago. Sometimes when you smoke and then are  I wonder if it is something you smoked. Our new prime minister has promised to completely decriminalize marijuana. It gets sold openly by medical marijuana dispensaries that are almost as plentiful as coffee shops, here... as long as you have a prescription. I don't imagine that getting a prescription is very difficult. Scriptures tell us to be sober minded. God bless you, ukok102nak!

How Could sin be in that FLESH?
Rom 7:22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.

James 4:1 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

That's Paul...not Jesus! Jesus is the Word made flesh and God...how can He have sin in the flesh? Unless you don't believe He is the Word made Flesh and God manifest in the flesh?

You asked, "How Could sin be in that FLESH?" I gave you the answer, but you just go off on another tangent.

You aren't interested in truth......

I said I wouldn't answer you anymore, but I made the mistake doing it anyway. Well, No more.........

I did not ask how sin could be in mans flesh... I said The Word was made flesh ...Jesus Christ..not sinful man...The Word was God...how could He have sin in the flesh if His flesh is the Word and He is God?

Unfortunately, that is the only way you can deal with that person. He has no true interest in God or fellow believers. That's why he continues to create so much division, and it's with a lot of people he does this. He doesn't build up, he breaks down. He doesn't seek peace, he seeks to satisfy his own ego. Ignore him. I am trying to do the same. He makes me so mad with his obnoxiousness though, lol. That's what the devil wants...to divide and accuse believers...and he has demonstrated this time and again.

actually, I didn't brag about anything. In fact, I believe I said something to the effect that I had to PRACTICE (or practicing) ignoring you. And why are you talking anyhow, the above referenced was not directed to you.

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." Heb 4:15

What are we tempted to do? Answer: sin!

How are we tempted? That's how Christ was tempted. If we are tempted from within, by sin in the flesh, then Christ was tempted in the same manner. Only He never sinned, not even by a thought.

He was the Word made flesh...He was God ... How could He have sin in the flesh?

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Jo 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Heb 4:15 for we have not a chief priest unable to sympathise with our weaknesses, but one tempted in all things in like manner--apart from sin;

Joh 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If there was any sin in the members of Christ's own flesh and blood as a man who lived among men, then sin would have reigned in a measure in his own body with some form of lust and he would never have been the spotless Lamb of God. Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and in all points as we, yet he was without sin. This sin, if he had it, would have been Adam's sin and our Lord would have been born in sin. But that is not the case for he was born of a virgin conceived of the Holy Spirit and lived his life without sin in the members of his body. This is not an assumption it is who Christ was, not a man of sin but a man who knew no sin because he was God in the flesh.

Our sin could only be imputed to the body of Christ on the cross for he was without sin and that sin was crucified. He died because of sin being imputed to him to satisfy the justice of God and not because he had sinned. He became sin on the cross that we might become the righteousness of God in him. So we were crucified with him, buried with him and raised with him and are now sitting together with him in heavenly places according to the riches of his grace. Without the shedding of his sinless blood as the spotless lamb we would have no redemption or atonement for our sin or sins. So the spotless lamb of God took away our sins and the sins of the world as the son of God and the son of man who knew no sin and was never acquainted with sin. He is our passover lamb and unless we eat his flesh and drink his blood we have no life in us.
