Receiving Jesus Christ
as Your Lord and Savior.

1 Get a bible.

2 Open the bible to one of the four Gospels
Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.

3 Then when you come to a commandment of Jesus the Christ...
such as this one...

Luke 14:33
So likewise,
whosoever he be of you that
forsaketh not all that he hath,
he cannot be my disciple.

4 You take that one commandment of Jesus the Christ
and master it to the point you completely obey it
at all times.

5 Then you get another commandment of Jesus the Christ
and do the same.

6 You repeat this process over and over
each commandment of Jesus the Christ
one by one.

What in the world are you taking about?
Salvation is gained not by mastering all of the commandments God gives in His Word. Salvation is not by works, but by faith!
Please read Romans, I think it will help you understand the subject of salvation better.

Who wrote the book of Romans? Is Jesus quoted anywhere in the book of Romans?

You know? Jesus the author of my salvation?

How come you do not believe the Salvation of the Lord
is not through obedience in His word?
Do you really think your piece meal plan of keeping His precepts is going to make you a disciple?
Do you have His Holy Spirit?

Galatians 3:3,5 KJVS
[3] Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? [5] He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

I can't make head or tail of the red letters section. I say ditch the KJV, unless you truly do understand it, and find an easy to read and understand translation.

UMMMMM....I think you missed the mark...It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.....Even those that believe in HIS NAME...receiving Jesus as Lord is an act of FAITH....THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND and OBEY come after SALVATION!

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (from Jn. 6)

Believe and live, not master the commandments one by one and live.

From the mouth of Christ Himself :).

Christ preached the Law to those born under the Law.

Then He did the Work of the Cross, the Resurrection, the Ascension, and sits as the Perfect, Permanent High Priest of the New Covenant.

Jesus gave to the Apostles the ministry of telling the world what His Work meant and accomplished.

(See Jesus’ Gospel? Paul’s Gospel? for more.)

But He told us directly that the work of God is that we believe on the One God sent - Christ \o/.

Incidentally, John backs up the words of Christ in 1 Jn. 3:23-24 when he writes,

23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Only one commandment there - Believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Loving one another comes out of that belief, because of the Spirit He gives us. Love is His Spirit's Fruit - a gift produced in and through us which fulfills His command to love.

Grace is like that - provides what it requires \o/.

We're saved by faith. We're saved by faith. We're saved by faith . . .

Do you really think your piece meal plan of keeping His precepts is going to make you a disciple?
The commandments of Jesus Christ
is not my plan of salvation. It belongs to God the Father that spake through Jesus.

Obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ will make me His disciple.

Are you agreeing with Jesus and I that His commandments are Spirit?

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life.

How come you insist on being a stumbling block? Woah to you. You've been warned!
Which commandment of Jesus Christ
is it that you are referring to as a stumbling block?

Tell me so I can be sure and not say anything about it to you.

Thank you for warning me.

I do not think this you have said is going to work out for you in the end.

But hey...I am not you.
