UMMMMM....I think you missed the mark...It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.....Even those that believe in HIS NAME...receiving Jesus as Lord is an act of FAITH....THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND and OBEY come after SALVATION!

Then why did Jesus say you had to endure till the end to be saved?

Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end,
the same shall be saved.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (from Jn. 6)

Believe and live, not master the commandments one by one and live.

From the mouth of Christ Himself :).

Christ preached the Law to those born under the Law.

Then He did the Work of the Cross, the Resurrection, the Ascension, and sits as the Perfect, Permanent High Priest of the New Covenant.

Jesus gave to the Apostles the ministry of telling the world what His Work meant and accomplished.

(See Jesus’ Gospel? Paul’s Gospel? for more.)

But He told us directly that the work of God is that we believe on the One God sent - Christ \o/.

Incidentally, John backs up the words of Christ in 1 Jn. 3:23-24 when he writes,
23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Only one commandment there - Believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Loving one another comes out of that belief, because of the Spirit He gives us. Love is His Spirit's Fruit - a gift produced in and through us which fulfills His command to love.

Grace is like that - provides what it requires \o/.

Am I wasting my time obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ?

What say you?

Actually the truth is...you have would have been banned long ago
for rule violations if they had not cut you some slack.

True or false?

So you have some history about this place under your belt revealing that you have been here before.

False.

The true or false bit shows me it's you, Jack. That's your trademark.

We're saved by faith. We're saved by faith. We're saved by faith . . .
I am saved by love. My love for God. My love for God will save me.

I guarantee you. If you will obey Jesus Christ.

He will save you.

No matter what.

John 14:21
He that hath my commandments,
and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:24
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings:
and the word which ye hear is not mine,
but the Father's which sent me.

1 John 2:4
He that saith, I know him,
and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.

How come you do not believe the Salvation of the Lord
is not through obedience in His word?

Because I believe the Bible.

Salvation is clearly by grace through faith alone
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I have a simple question for you: If salvation can come through our works, what is the point of the Jesus' death on the cross?

It is hard work carrying my cross. Then I have to suffer upon it.

As for your question what is the point of the Jesus' death on the cross?

It was the will of God.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

If I can't answer them I will ask Jesus.

hi Jack!

what do you think - when the Lord instructs us to forsake all that we have, does that mean forsake our own works too?

yes / no ?

because i only know One who is faithful to the uttermost, and it's not me. ((it's not you either, m8))
this One is where we can put our trust! :)

Are you writing a book?

who is ultimately responsible for our salvation?

us? or the Father?

is it by human will or exertion, or by God's mercy?

what do you think?

do you have anything at all to be proud of? a reason to boast? if so, what is it?
do you have anything to be thankful for? a reason for joy? if so, what is it?
