What is the reason for or meaning of life?

Are we made for God or our we made for ourselves?

Or are we made for God and for ourselves?

What is the bigger picture?

What is the reason for everything?

GOD wanted communion with HIS own....the meaning of real life, totally, in all realms, physical, mental and spiritual, is to commune with GOD, via JESUS CHRIST, in HIS Spirit. How simple can you get? Why complicate it?

Why not complicate it? :)

I like complicated lol

No, true, I get what you're saying.

But and there's always a but. Because that is the human spirit to ask, to pick and to ponder. To pull apart and to put back together again. We wouldn't be human if we never done that. ;)

To enjoy God and to be enjoyed by God. To love the people around us, no matter what. To live an abundant life with our Creator, Saviour, Father, Friend and Lord.

That was done in a movie of Monty Python. Outside of that, there is no meaning of life.

I'm voting for all the suggestions in this thread :p

On the light side: Having fun (though not at the cost of others), enjoying food, music, art, nature etc etc

On a more serious side: To get to know Jesus / God and as a result be a mirror of love to reflect His light to the world

We live to serve the LORD. That is the bottom line.

God tells us why He created us. It was for His own pleasure.

So perhaps the question should be, "What can I do to bring God pleasure?" I used to think it was to love Him by serving and obeying Him, like a servant to their master.

But I've learned that it pleases God most of all when I don't resist His loving me. When I just surrender to His embrace, like a bride to the groom.

God's so faithful. ♥

Lol, the end of the matter is in Ecclesiastes.

"Why create me, Lord?"
"Why not?"

You were made by God, if you take distance from Him your life will take less meaning... and end someday. Even when we're sick, we have confidence to get through it, with the Lord. Lord gives hope to a eternal and more than good life.

I think the main reason we are here is to glorify God through our thoughts, sayings, and deeds. My mother always reminds me that we are the representatives of God.
