Why is telling the truth about the security of france a "horrible" thing to say?
Don't do that. Don't masquerade a tactless remark as "but it's the truth." Let go of your presuppositions once in awhile, bro.

I'd join, our governments are so weak the system is getting weaker by the day. I do love my country and culture though, I just don't like the way it's going down the drain right now, that's all. I feel ashamed the terrorists of the Paris attacks were/are Belgian residents.

How are things in Belgium now? You don't live in Brussels, do you?
I miss that little city! I was here last year on vacation... I can't imagine what it has been like there in the past few weeks. :(

Well, actually it's not that bad I guess. They have even dropped the terrorist threat level from 4 (very high) to 3 (high) because there doesn't seem to be any immediate threats. A lot of people are staying home, though. Shopping malls, restaurants and even kindergartens are half empty... I live 60 miles west of Brussels. I think there's still a lot of tension and anxiety there but time will make people forget about this horror unfortunately. I'm glad you liked your stay here though!

Not a lot of places are safe. If there isn't a high volume of terrorism, there's racism and hate crimes. None of those? What about natural disasters? Oh, mother nature is good to you? Maybe you've got drug trafficking and related crime. Nah, your area is clean, you just have to worry about civil or guerrilla warfare and kidnapping.

Oh no, wait─

Not where I live....we have guns :)
Everyone! Take shelter with Mitspa! :p

Not really sure what you're referring to, specifically. I usually just troll you with cat pictures. *nudge nudge*

But I'll leave the memes out of this one.

You cant seem to find nothing about Islamic murder and rape before 1960? And you think im blinded from seeing a certain truth?
I hate to add to the list of people having a convo with you haha but honestly I can't find any cases in the form of terrorism. Got any links/books? If you're referring to basic religious/government horrors, Christian history has its own.

Oh please? no wonder you believe all this conspiracy nonsense ...you kinda make up the truth as you go along. You look it up...im sure they have some utube stuff on the history of Islam. At Christianity's worst ...even in the heresy of the RCC it could never be compared to Islam.

Bushido does make a good point in that Islam did not appear to implement terrorism parse prior to the 20th century. Largely because terrorism as we know it is a relatively modern phenomenon.

Extremist muslims and their sympathizers in our time are likely to endorse tactics of violent intimidation because violence and intimidation were essential to the formation of their religion and the first Caliphate. Though in the 600's their means of using violence to achieve political goals was more traditional- i.e. organized use of armies conquering territory and enforcing Sharia.

Shia Islam, one could argue, gave the world proto-terrorists with the hashshashin. While old Christendom did not shy away from use of rakes and ne'er-do-wells, it must be pointed out that organized guilds of that kind didn't exist. Not even in Muslim-occupied Spain.

Define terrorism and I'll find you an example to fit your definition when I return. For starters though, just look into Mohammad's life, particularly the massacre of Yathrib (modern Medina)

Bingo. It all hinges on the definition of terrorism. Violence and intimidation have been a part of Islam since Mohammed reared his head. That particular fact cannot be refuted.

Mitspa, I'm not sure where you get your ideas...but it seems like you read and listen to nothing but satire news.

Paris had a terrorist attack. 130 people died and the over 350 injured.
The US had a terrorist attack 14 years ago and it killed over 2,500 people...

You're worried about Europe?

Unless you haven't been paying attention, France has stepped up security measures in a BIG way, and the rest of Europe is doing so too. Just like America did too. I very much doubt that anything will happen to Europe in the way you envision. It has survived WAY more than the US has when it comes to invaders, such as WWI and WWII, which happened on it's own soil.

Would we call our ancestors terrorists too? Just curious since they came here, massacred, forced their religion on, and destroyed a large percentage of the Native American race.
