Jesus said we must do what they tell us to do (Torah) but not do what they do (act like hypocrites, judge each other etc and we should not follow the Talmud).
Then why do you pick and choose what to follow from the teaching of the Pharisees?
Why dont you do everything they told the people to do?
Apart from burnt offerings for sin of course

James we must keep the laws of Yeshua. Yes. But the laws of Yeshua was nothing new. That is why I asked you about the "black book" because He said 70x7 times we should forgive our brother. The law was there from day one and it stayed the same. It is up to us to find it and realise that grace is not a new concept.

God is the same. He will never change. This my friend is Biblical. It is our duty to figure God out by studying His word and having a relationship with Him.
Could you answer the question please

Are the three examples of literal biblical commandments I gave all as important as each other to keep?

[SUP]15 [/SUP]And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. Luke 18:15-20

I've read the thread so far and she is not condemning anyone....I don't know where you are getting that.
This isn't the first thread she has talked about this. She has posted that if we don't follow the passover we aren't saved.

They believe that by keeping this stuff you're basically telling God you love Him. There is forgiveness if you mess up but you should try not to because it will make God sad. That's how I understand it anyways. I may be wrong. I think Passover is necessary for salvation but that is a case by case thing. If someone wants to have passover but dies before they have the chance God will understand. Make sense?
This is what she wrote on another thread about her new found belief.

Jesus said also that to inherit eternal life we must BELIEVE on the One whom the father has sent. Salvation does not come by keeping the law. It comes by believing in what Jesus did on the cross for us. He fulfilled the law for us.

Jesus was the greatest law preacher to those who are trying to "gain" righteousness by keeping that law.

Jesus was also the greatest grace preacher for those who knew to depend on HIm alone for salvation

Don't take someone else's medicine!

be blessed!

You should put Thi up in the hyper grace thread.

So one question. As long as we believe then we are saved so then once saved shouldn't we than take the ten commandments as well as the NT and use them to help us to love and teach love? And to those saying qe don't need them. Well why wouldn't you use them to begin with? If they're considered mosaic law and tossed out. Isn't it still a good idea to not murder, steal etc?

Also I'm referring to as is JF. ROMANS 13:9
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

The 10 commandments are good and light, but what can they teach us about loving others? 6 things. Love is so much deeper than that.

Because not all of the law is relevant to everybody. The law is broken down into different parts.

I have explained it to you before. I don't believe grace is a new concept and I don't believe that the law written on our hearts is a new concept :) you know this...

Well they teach the basics. So again, why not follow them? Why not keep the sabbath? Why not do these things to show God you love him?

I actually thought that I was clear in my answer

I said we should keep the laws of Yeshua but they are nothing new. They were in the law before.

Because we want to rebel against God. This is in our nature and we don't want to submit to Godley authority...

The cheap grace teaching is grace for all and sin as you like because of grace.

From your answer then I take it you believe all three of the literal commands I placed before you are of equal importance to be observed.

I am sure therefore, as you lay great stress on a saturday Sabbath, you lay equal stress on the other two mentioned being followed in your life

We show God we love Him by spending time with Him. By praising Him daily, reading His Word, sharing the Gospel with others out of Love, not denying His Son, giving to the poor out of Love; these all show God we love Him. You already said you have no clue what the Sabbath even is. Have you read Exodus yet? How can you fight for something without knowing what it was for?

IMO these are words of someone with a condemned conscience.

GOD's not impressed with our attempts to show him that we love him. He's impressed by our believing his love for us. In fact, that is defined as the love of GOD.

The law to observe the sabbath was given to remind Israel that their sanctification came from GOD, not their own efforts. We have this remembrance every moment of every day through the indwelling spirit. So the law to observe the sabbath is obsolete.

I don't tell anybody when I fast and me and my wife have given many people food that visited our house... so what about it?

I do think we must look at the context of verses and encourage each other rather than try to discourage each other.

If JFS want to keep the Sabbath because she wants to grow closer to God who are you to judge her? Maybe by doing this she can learn more from God. Why discourage her. She is not claiming Salvation by doing it.

The people on this website is so judgemental it is scary... (and I don't aim this at you James)
