Eternal security teaches once justified always justified. Meaning your always in right standing with God no matter what you do!

Yeah that sounds good, just one problem...

Technically If your always justified, then your always forgiven of your sin, because anyone who needs forgiveness of sin, is not justified, they are guilty.

When a christian falls into sin, we repent for the forgiveness of sin. right? Of course! why else would we be repenting!

Technically the moment a christian falls into sin, he "becomes" and "remains" guilty until he repents of his sin.
How do I know this? Because he needs to repent in order to be forgiven of the sin he fell into. No repentence = no forgiveness.

Technically if a christian at any moment is not forgiven of a sin, then he is not JUSTIFIED. Which shows once justified always justified and once saved always saved is a lie.
No repentence = no forgiveness = no justification = not saved.

Show me in scripture where repentance is not for the forgiveness of sins and you will COMPLETELY destroy my claim. But you can't because we repent in order to receive forgiveness from God.

REPENTENCE was paid for by the blood of Jesus once and for all time! Now we no longer have to continually sacrifice animals but we can get down on our knees at any moment and start over! However some born again believers grieve the holy spirit and don't repent for whatever reason.

Repentence is for believers, not only sinners!

1:john 1:9 [If] "we" confess "our" sins, he is faithful and just to forgive "us" our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

" we, us, our, us" = hes talking to christians
[ if ] The word if means something is conditional. Here it was saying It's conditional for us to confess/repent , in order to be forgiven ! Which proves my point your not forgiven if you don't repent!

1 peter 4:18 If it is hard for a man who is right with God to be saved, what will happen to the sinner?

Technically, if you commit sin and suddenly have a stroke and die before you can repent of it does that mean you go to hell or need purgatory?

Hi,

Here is one technical foul in the above statement in blue color. Try to analyze it first before you fouled out.:)

Walking with Jesus is about relationship not righteousness. Righteous behaviour comes as a fruit of a right relationship with God.

Those who loose that relationship loose everything.
The sign of a wrong relationship with God is sin. It shows the internal conflicts within and hypocracy between what is claimed and what is done.

OSAS is not about relationship but judgement. The failure of the doctrine is without a good relationship with Jesus we stand condemned. Because you had faith, is not a way of saying you are still justified.

The only reason OSAS stands is because of the view sin stops entry into heaven, rather than, not knowing God and having a right relationship with Him stops entry into heaven.

So you see the argument, if you sinned and died you are doomed. This is a bean counter view of relationships.

The hyper-gospel answer is we are a new nature put in human vessels, perfect, so sin no longer touches us.
But this equally is false. No christian is perfect in this way, let alone one who has just believed in Jesus.

Why I object to this view of God, is because it denies sanctification, or working through love and life throughout your behaviour. It denies the need at source and claims perfection today. Now like all claims it is attractive if true, but it is a lie.

It just wants to resolve the struggle without a struggle, by getting believers to ignore their sin and not deal with failure.

Salvation is not probation. Eternal life is not temporary life. Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.

The new covenant gives us right standing with GOD. That isn't taken away when we are unfaithful for it is written:

If we endure, we will also reign with [him]; if we deny [him], he also will deny us; if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, because he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:12-13

The new covenant guarantees forgiveness of sin. If we sin, GOD is faithful to his covenant (and is just because of the cross) for it is written:

If we assent to our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us [our] sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Therefore, let us make a habit of assenting to the accusations of our mind and conscience, for there is no condemnation in Christ, and the holy spirit will cleanse our mind and conscience and lead us into all truth.

Be in agreement with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. Verily I say unto you, you shall by no means come out thence, until you hast paid the uttermost farthing. Matthew 5:25-26

My sheep hear my voice and I know then and they follow me, and I give I unto them eternal life and they will never perish and none shall pluck them out of my hand. My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and none IS ABLE to pluck them out of My Father's hand

Yes he was talking to christians but there were gnostics among the christians and when he said If "we" confess our sins he Is faithful to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness he was addressing the gnostics that were In the crowd.

Telling them that If they confess their sins that he(GOD)Is faithful to forgive them of their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

Once we have done this we are saved and sealed and there Is now no more condemnation to them that are In CHRIST JESUS.

GOD forgives us and then saves us and seals us'

but when It comes to living In a fallen world we need to confess and or forgive our neighbors whenever we offend them.

Then God's warnings to the 7 churches were only suggestions.

God's words to the 7 churches are priceless. They can be viewed from an Old Covenant mindset or through the eyes of the New Covenant believer.

Five years ago I began Escape to Reality by looking at Jesus’ words to the churches of Revelation.

Strike Her Children Dead (Revelation 2:23)

My question then was: How do we reconcile Jesus’ harsh words with his heart of grace?

And there are no harsher words than these:

Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. (Rev 2:20-23a)

Who is this woman Jezebel? What is she doing that has got Jesus so fired up? And is Jesus really threatening to kill her kids?
You need to have answers to these questions because if you don’t you may fall for the lie that says “God chastises his children with suffering and death.”

The rest of the grace-based teaching is in there..

Strike Her Children Dead (Revelation 2:23) – Escape to Reality

Another one?

Why are people so insistent of putting their work above Gods work when it comes to salvation?

Jesus said, It (the plan of salvation) is finished (complete)

He did not say I did my part, now you do yours.

Yes..in heaven it will always be "Worthy is the Lamb!"..never " Worthy is the Lamb....and me ( I did my part..in my D.I.Y. righteousness/holiness ) "

There is no condemnation if they agree with their conscience when they have sinned, and in faith receive the forgiveness issuing from the throne of GOD. Christ doesn't condemn us, but our consciences have certainly been given the authority to do so. The pernicious influence of Modern Grace teaching short-circuits the conscience through an Identity Faith that only acknowledges a believer's righteousness.

If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knows all. Dear friends, if our heart does not condemn [us], we have confidence before God, 1 John 3:20-21

1 John 1:9 is a rebound verse for an eternally secure believer. When we grieve or quench the Spirit, we acknowledge our sin or legalism(rebound) to God and he restores the filling of the Spirit.

We all owe God PERFECT righteousness for our salvation. We can't pay that debt...........Christ did. The indwelling of God is NEVER lost for the believer, but we can lose the filling of the Spirit and be out of fellowship with God.

We acknowledge that we stepped out of His plan(1 john 1:9) and He restores that right relationship(filled with the Spirit.)

This is how we are continually filled with the Holy Spirit..by speaking and singing,,..to yourself and others about Christ in us..

Ephesians 5:18-21 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, ( present tense - continuous action )
[SUP]19 [/SUP] speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
[SUP]20 [/SUP] always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
[SUP]21 [/SUP] and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.

Colossians 3:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

I cringe every time I read a message like this. If I had to repent over every sin (and let's include worrying - which is lack of faith - anger -words that pop out of your mouth before thinking - selfishness - pride - even idolatry when I go to food instead of God for comfort at times), I would do nothing else with my life except repent.

I would have no time to worship, time to read the bible, rejoice over anything, or serve others.

Actually the only time I probably am not sinning is when I am in deep worship, reading my bible, praying for others, and such.

But yet in real life, the dishes still need to be done when I'm sick. There are people to deal with who demand so much from me.
It is then that all these little sinful thoughts and actions come. And it is then that I am so grateful for God's mercy and grace upon me knowing that I stand under "no condemnation" EVER. I still grieve inwardly when I hurt others or fail to represent Christ, but He just picks me up, dusts me off and says "You will do better next time". And I usually do.
