I had a cat that looked just like this when growing up... Lol my mom loved tabby's, so that's the only cat she would take in... Always taking in strays, she wasn't too crazy about dogs, but loved cats. Don't get me wrong, I love cats myself... But I prefer dogs... A lot more fun and playful.. And less messy. :)
 
How can so many die? Are they homeless? (What about shelters?) or do they drive on summer tires and crash or what?

I've never heard of people dying during winter in Norway (at least not from different reasons than any other season), and the temperatures ranges from 32 to 5 most places and go down to -4 or maybe even -22 in places.

The main causes are... Either loss power cause it is a blizzard out there... So, I'm pretty sure most people have lost their power.
The elderly that live alone they usually don't survive (at least around here they don't) in the winter.
and sometimes yes... Car accidents cause people can be stupid and not think about the weather and how dangerous and deadly it really can be. It's not just homeless and lack of shelters... It's the blizzard in general, and people being stupid trying to be super heroes. :(
 
:( That's sad.
Here most people thankfully still have wood burning ovens, so even if electricity fails, they can heat at least one room.
 
In other news:

Some of the people in our government wants to change the law to enable police officers to go into churches and arrest/ take away people who are there seeking asylum.... Somehow I have a feeling that is against more than just Norwegian law....

Also, some roofs can collapse if there's a lot of show on the roofs.
 
One problem around here is people think four wheel drive vehicles make them immune to the laws of physics. just because your car is 4 wheel drive does not mean you can go 70 miles an hour on an icy street.
