To John14 and KJV.... I'm seriously afraid that when you cross over, and Jesus says "come on in", you both will refuse, since he didn't say it in Elizabethan English.....
I think I'm finished with this ridiculous topic... I hope you guys find peace...

I agree in a sense...but the reality is that "begotten" in John 1:18 is a completely different greek word then in Rev 1:5 KJV...

In Rev 1:5..Jesus was the "firstborn" from the dead.......the "begotten" part means that Jesus was unique and completely only-begotten from the Father.

Altho these 2 terms are closely related..they are talking about different aspects of Jesus...one from the Father being only begotten...the Rev1:5 He was the first born from the dead..and we are his fruit as we too follow in His being brought back from being dead...

Only, unique, only-begotten

Thank you, for your earnestness. The focus point of my post being, of when the Son was begotten. God tells us very clearly by His word in Rev 1:5 kjv. Psalm 2:7 is a very important verse in Christendom, and there are many a writtings, doctrines and commentary by theological thought on when the Son was begotten by the Father, lots of confusion to say the least.

Here it is, the truth, but people will choose to neglect it, why, because that is the nature of handling the word of God dishonestly. And here is the other side of the obvious doctrine, the Son was not begotten by the Father at incarnation. Words are important to doctrine and instruction of the saints, "the Word was made flesh"

Are we not saved? Are we not saints of God, workmen, ambassadors for Christ? Do we not have the spirit that is of God? Do we not know the things of God with the mind of Christ? The saints approve what is Scripture, yesterday today and tomorrow, down through ages, generations and know the times.

God is not a theologian and ambassadors do not assimilate with the doctrines of theology, we have One who teaches us, by His written word. Godhead, reprobate, firstborn, only begotten, Spirit itself, first- last, first- second, voice of the trumpet, sound of the trumpet, on and on, when we see correlation in word use, terms, even capitalization as I have shared, we need to pay attention. Pure doctrine is the knowledge of God, you won't learn this in seminary.

We all choose, even churches choose which bible they will appeal from. Knowing why you study is important.

Then could you please read through the Bible and correct all the mistakes so I can have a perfect Bible? Why put so much trust that your Greek and Hebrew is right?

FIRST OF ALL your request is moronic and sets forth attitude....Second a honest man will agree with what I said, third..the bible was originally written in Hebrew and Koine Greek....not the Kings English and or by men who could not translate anything contrary to Anglican doctrine without losing their heads.....now..go be honest and evaluate it honestly and find out for yourself pal!

You do not have peace the very fact you hear proves that, If you had peace you would not be bothered at all about those who disagree with you..

I have peace also.. About that fact Gods word lives,

as long as you have any bible written in the flawed english langage, that will not happen.. Well maybe it could happen, but it would have to be almost twise as long as it is now (ie, not a word for word, but an actual literal interpretation of the word( The word baptism, baptize are not even english words of translation, but just transliterations, and why we have so messed up and screwed up interpretation of baptism in the word today, which could have been easily solved if the interpretors of the bible interpreted the word and not make a new english word out of greek word.

I'm not bothered at all my friend, just passionate about the word of God. I hate to think that a fellow believer has doubt about what God has said. I am a Bible believer and I trust God at his promises. Salvation depends on trusting the Savior described by the book. If the book is in doubt, then what would the world think about the Savior? That's why the attacks on creationism. If they can discredit the book, they can discredit the Savior.

You put doubt into believers, By forcing them to believe only a bible with outdated english, which is unreadable by most english speaking people today. Unless they go to class, is the one they should use, that they can use no other. That god does not love them enough to give them a version in their own language.

I used to be like you. My church taught the same, I was so afraid to look at other versions.. It is freeing to be done with that form of idolotry..

Man perverted that word not God. Don't blame the Bible for that perversion. I believe in a perfect God who is not bound by the Greek or Hebrew language. I believe that God can give me a perfect Bible in my language, the English language.

Well, maybe one day the Lord will reveal Himself to me and let me know that He did not fulfill His promise to preserve for me His pure words.:)

That's our laziness to pick the book up and study to shew ourselves approved unto God a workman who needeth not to be ashamed. The problem is not the book, the problem is us. Growing up, I knew more about the land of OZ the home of a wizard, than the land of UZ, the home of Job.

I would not force anyone to make that decision. But if one is truly searching, I would encourage them to study the differences, especially the manuscripts in which they were translated. One comes from the Textus Receptus and all the others come from the Alexandrian Texts. One God, or many. The doctrine of one.

Then answer, did God fulfill His promise to preserve His words? If so, where are they?
