I said to you that hate was not like love....God is love...God is not hate.....the hate is a manifestation of His love for us children whom he loves dearly....He hates the things that destroy us...now...show me for the last time where the scripture in the gospels reveals that Jesus hates people.....seeing that Jesus is the exact representation of the Father's true nature...
Jesus isn't talking about roasting marshmallows here

I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish that it had been kindled already! Luke 12:49

Ok 4th...you do not seem able to respond in any way other than by shooting scripture as though it was somehow going to destroy me

It is painful to watch this application of God's word being used as an imagined weapon

How about if I let you in on a little secret?

I am not under condemnation ...no matter how much you object to posting in your sight, God is still my Father and Jesus Christ is both my Lord and my Savior

The scripture was proof that God hates individuals. Pretty clear. I'm sorry scripture isn't authoritative enough for you.

Jesus us not going to roast ANYONE rosefromthedead

GOD has prepared the lake of fire for the devil and his angels

The Bible does not mention it so YOU and others here can get your jollies by ATTACKING other posters with some imagined threats that God is going to send fire from heaven and destroy us

Jesus did not think much of that idea either when the disciples brought it up

Hyper grace is a term thought up by legalists who just cant stand the fact that they are NEVER going to be good enough to
match the grace of God

Sadly human beings will join the devil but not because God did not love them

My goodness I can certainly see why some people are antagonistic against the gospel of the grace of Christ... it would be totally offensive to them......* I'm still trying to shake off the doctrine being put forth in here that Jesus hates people *.....

Okay here is an issue I have with this, and that is that those scriptures do say God hates the person.

But why is the question we must ask ???

And that is because of the sinful actions they did, not that He actually just up and hated them all together !!!

If they at any time would have turned to Him He would have welcomed them openly !!!

Take a look at Cain for instance, as Cain killed Able yet God still protected him from facing the same fate !!!

Sarcastic much? How about posting like you believe what you type?

There is no scripture that says what you are trying to say in a bid to disprove Gods grace is sufficient for THE SIN OF THE WORLD

God is HOLY ...not hateful

LOL....you show me in Jesus' life where He hates people....you do realize that Jesus came to show us the true nature of the Father....

So, John 3:16 should read God so loves the world ( except for Esau ) that He gave.....could it be that God hated what Esau did?
Esau was a sign given of the firstborn man being born of the flesh and carnally minded, who came out red because of his sin nature. So those whom the Lord hates is much broader than just the man Esau, but those who have the mark of the beast= sin nature, and those who sold their birth right for sin, as did Esau. And the destruction to come for sinners shall be much greater than many suppose, when the Lord comes to tread the winepress in His wrath, in the land of the firstborn son, the land of Idumea=Edom=Esau.

Isaiah 34:5
For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

Isaiah 34:6
The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the Lord hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

Isaiah 63 "Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.[SUP]2 [/SUP]Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
[SUP]3 [/SUP]I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth."

Revelation 19:13-15 "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."

(I know right? I just came on to cc one day and saw a thread with the words hyper grace didn't really feel like checking it out but when i did boy was I confused oh and looking up the meaning online? Pointless it's literally new existed word even now because of how many ideas of what hyper grace is I just stick to knowing that God's grace is a free gift has no limits except for when we live our lives without accepting his gift and then die but I don't want to get into the whole heaven and hell debate that one is a massive mess)

************************

Just so

I was off for a couple of months and came back to the mess you see too

Pretty much just that hyper arguing is the atmosphere here

However, when one of the major doctrinal truths of scripture is consistently attacked, something has to be said

Interesting. the word bring means throw.

I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish that it had been kindled already! Luke 12:49

Bring/Cast
G906 βάλλω ballo (bal'-lo) v.
1. to throw

It's the same word as cast in this verse in Revelation.

And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast [it] into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. Revelation 8:5

The gospel is under attack it seems

Again...no one has EVER stated its ok to continue in sin and yet that us handily ignored or twisted to mean something else

Again rosefromthedead...you are emphasizing only what you PERCEIVE backs up your POV

BUT the Bible is a balanced book and is best understood by taking ALL of it into account

We also know that it says FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD...

So you know, you have to dig a little deeper to understand judgement...sin...etc

INSPIRTINTRUTH

pretty much my observation regarding Esau as a type

We know God had the Israelites destroy whole nations...BUT when speaking to Abraham, God revealed the suffering of His people in Egypt ...He stated that the sin or wickedness (I'm paraphrasing..sorry) had to reach...basically...the zenith of its life or fruition in the people currently in the land God would give to them

Looking at the entirety of Scripture we get a picture of physical reality illustrating spiritual principals

Love...hate...what are these concepts to God who is HOLY regarding either?

My objections are based in the disregard for proper exegesis and analytical study that results in folks hurling Bible verses at others like machine gun fire

Its another thing entirely to set out scripture providing the broader principal as you did...hopefully without prejudice because I think that we all could benefit from so doing

The odd thing is the mixing of theologies from the past with things of the present.

This is an indication of the desperation of the WOF, prosperity and hyper-grace camps.

The truth is Jesus love matter, the cross is everything but not it the gnostic sense.

Unless love becomes above the gifts, love of God, love you your neighbour, your fellow christians, your enemies, all the demonstration of spiritual power is meaningless. The core problem is people falling all over the place or singing in tongues does not make spiritual authority but the words and deeds of the believers.

The fact that "love" has such a low priority or sorting out sin in peoples hearts, whatever this movement is, it is not following God. There is a cultural shift where people are desiring emotional and spiritual reality in Christ to walk in love and righteousness, but show bizz and music is not enough.

Crossnote, the subject of grace revolves around Jesus. He, Jesus, is the means by which grace is bestowed. In terms of salvation, there would be no grace without Jesus. If someone asked you to define grace in one word the best answer would be Jesus. It is not that one is a substitute for the other, but that in talking about either the other is inevitable to come up. So a person having a discussion on God's grace will inevitably speak of Jesus and a person speaking on Jesus will speak on His grace. You cannot separate God's attributes from Himself any more than you can define water as dry.

I understand you have this little tight knit perspective now of, "exalt Jesus, not grace" and "don't make an idol of grace", but when sharing the Gospel of Grace Jesus is always exalted. There is not a single post on grace that doesn't in some way allude to Jesus' finished work on the cross and God's great love to bring reconciliation.

Some of you guys really have a dishonesty issue, portraying the Gospel of Grace as Universalism, idolatry, and satanic. There isn't one post you can pull up to back up your points and any post you use will prove that you have a misunderstanding of what is being said. I don't know if your dishonesty is deliberate, but it surely isn't palatable.

Gee, how honored I am by having you single me out even though I haven't posted in a few hours.
My point was God's grace is not synonymous with Jesus. It was on account of His Life, Death and Resurrection that He can bestow grace on those of us who lived under the WRATH of God.

Romans 1:18 KJVS
[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

John 3:36 KJVS
[36] He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Also, there is more to our walk than the finished work of Christ. I commune with Him for example and not a concept of grace.
