Paul is not one of the twelve either....and yes..he is dead. All of us will die at one point. But unless the Body of Christ is dead..we will need all these 5-fold ministry in order to grow up in Him.


Ephesians 4:11-13 (NASB)

There have been many apostles even in Paul's day other then the original 12 and they too had signs, wonders and miracles performed by the Lord through them.

2 Corinthians 12:12 (NASB)

To take the gifts of the Spirit out of the church is not wise in any form.

Yes Jesus is the healer as I stated in my last post but you are aware that there were twelve men who Jesus bestowed the miraculous gifts to right? Are any of them alive today?

Plus everytime I see tongues operated in churches, they don't follow the biblical guidelines. Also, Tongues were a sign of God's judgment on unbelieving Israel during the early church. Mmm... Very sad take on things. The teaching gifts are still in operation? No, no, no. It's all or nothing. If God shut down some gifts, he shut them all down. Your best argument would be that today's best bible teachers are well educated and trained by men, and then the purpose of the Holy Spirit would be...what?
Of course, Jesus said, referring to the Holy Spirit, "...He will guide you into all true and He will disclose to you what is yet to come." I take that as prophesy revealed to believers in the future as it unfolds to build faith in believers. I mean, if this word was only meant for Jesus' 12 disciples then hey, everything Jesus said was meant only for them and we can only wish we were in the "in crowd." I'm really saddened by your view on this. Really grieved. Wouldn't want to live this brand of Christianity myself. Not trying to say anything offensive here, it just seems like you would miss so many amazing, fabulous words given to you via the Holy Spirit, as communicated by a prophesy or preacher. They have been incredibly uplifting, timely and one was truly miraculous in its content in my life. Frankly, Beloved777, God has more for you. You are missing out.

I went to be healed at a revival once and afterward when I was still suffering in my condition, they blamed me saying "I didn't have enough faith." So, for a long time, I had not just my illness to contend with but also had to deal with weather or not I was even saved!

That is really sad. Just goes to show what wrong teaching can do to a hopeful individual. Being around negative ignorant people does effect us. Effects how we think and behave. People can 'help' us grow hope and faith in us or totally demolish it. Iron sharpens iron. I'm very thankful God has the kind of love and compassion that has over-ridden many times those kinds of people and influences in my life. But it was not always so.

I have a tendency even today to be very effected by people; especially respected Christians. It took years to be able to stand on the promises without looking at all those good Christians I respected but who did not believe on the promises. The promises they did not hold too were the exact promises I have learned to live by.

When there was no one to help me or even look at me., Jesus took me and lifted me out of my situation and brought me to a good and solid place. Will I let those who are un believing drag me out of where Jesus put me?... because they didn't experience what God did for me?? No way.., not now. It's a choice we will each have to make one of these days if we really expect to see God's hand tracing all the lines in our life.

We battle this everywhere we go. Even here on these forums there are seasoned believers who have not been where some of us have been. They have experiences of their own but their experiences didn't take them down the roads I have been.

No one understands all the reasons why healing is seen in some places and not in others. Everyone has an opinion. Sometimes I have time to listen to their opinions but most times I listen to what God says and what He keeps doing for me. He loves me and promised to take care of me and that is the ONLY security in life for me. He takes care of us when no one else will.

Maybe it hasn't come down to that for many people but "as for me, I will trust the Lord". As for healing, sometimes it happens right away., like some 10 fold, some 30 fold.,some 100 fold. Whatever way healing comes it is a miracle. Keep believing as you see the healing progress. In the span of 10yrs I've watched God do the impossible with me. Even my family can't believe it and they were the closest people I had in life.

How often have we read in the Bible and heard preached and taught by good Godly teachers and preachers "wait upon the Lord". If we can't wait on the Lord, who can we wait on?? And He also knows we need daily encouragement to see how He is working. The evidences of His hand keep showing up every day. He doesn't keep us waiting without hope along the way. He knows our frame that we are but dust. He makes many considerations for our weaknesses. Then we see how when we are weak in this world it is then we are strong in Him.

Mmm....definitley a wooden nickle needed here.... I am sure that in one of the gospels there was an incident where the apostles told Jesus "Lord we saw others casting out demons in your name.. Should we stop them?" I'm sure if there were some casting out demons in his name there were some also healing... And the LORD said "no, leave them alone.. For those who are not with us are against us. But these do these acts in my name" ((yes I know, very very paraphrased)).... Jesus can't or won't do this, the Holy Spirit can't or won't do that, according to who? As long... As there is a God... As long as my Jesus reigns.... As long as the Holy Spirit comes in all power and glory for God, everything and anything is possible at any moment... People keep bringing up all parts of the bible, but at times like these I look to the gospels... What God has done for just one of his children it is available to ALL his children... What the LORD accomplished on this earth when he was here can still be accomplished today because he sent another or be with us, the comforter who searches all things even the deep things of God, for who knows all things except for the Spirit of God... And he will reveal to you all things. He will reveal to you what he hears and sees of Me and reveal it to you....... Don't tell me what can or can't happen today, for with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.

Healing is Simple

Yes you can simply use the verses. It works. I put them on my head and proclaimed them for hours a day for a year and then I saw in my body that I was healed.
We are healed by His stripes is the same as we are made holy, we died with Christ and are free from sin. As long as you don't believe and confess it it won't profit you.
How come the Africans who knew nothing simply read this and just did it?

Dear Coby, according i believe that the Lord is acting in a different way with the Life of his children. I know christians which was healed from cancer and others which died with their cancer.
I believe also that the Lord is healing today! But what the thread is talking about is that every christian will be healed from his sickness. And this is a false teaching! Otherwise you can proof me that every christian is healed from his sickness.

Do you know why so much false teachings arose among christianity? Because of false using and teaching from word of God!

If it would be right, that Jesus heales everybody why the Paul had to take his thorn in flesh which was caused from a demon. (2. Corithians 12) ore why he has to leave Trophimus in Miletus. After healing such a mass on people he was not able to heal Trophimus ore Timothy, who had stomach problems?

If it would be right, that Jesus heals everybody then it is unbelieve to go to a doctor ore to take medicine.

And what was happend with the christians which lived before the pentecostal movement was foundet in 1906?
Next year we are celebrating in Germany 500 years of Marthin Luther. All the reformation churches which build in this time, (Baptists, Calvinists, Mennonites, Lutherans and so on) had to live till 1906 without the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit.
And when the sign gifts came they identify them from a false spirit. (Even brethern which thought first it is from God)

I tell you, this is a false doctrine! And it destroys the faith of many brothers and sisters, because the expierience that they got not healed. What was the wrong? Their faith? Ore the promise?

In the bible we find many promises, but i cant find the promise: If you follow me you never will face physical sickness.

And please if you read what I wrote than read everything and not what you want to read. It is what I see from scripture and from what i see around me. I know the most in this thread will not agree with what i wrote, but what should I do?

Jesus was whipped and crucified, He did this for the forgiveness of sins and the healing of all infirmities. His willingness is not in question, He died for us. For me to say that Jesus isn't willing to heal all is doubt and disbelief of what He has already purchased by His blood for me and all humanity.

Holy Spirit spoke to me the other day and brought up a skin condition I have. He told me to believe and I would be healed. It is as simple as that, belief. I will be healed of that condition, I know that. I have His word. You too have the Lord's word in that of Jesus Christ, paying the price for your sins and for the healing of your diseases. He took care of it all.

I am not telling you to get to some level of faith. I am telling you as the Lord told me, believe. That takes self-reflection. I am going to have to ask the Lord, truly, "Do I believe?" If not, I need to address that and ask Him to renew my mind to the riches found in Christ. Seek where doubt may lie, be it bitterness ("why me?") or a lack of revelation of His great love for me. VVhatever the source, it needs to be cast down and my thoughts captive in obedience to Jesus, my loving Savior who died for my sins and the healing of all disease.

Your results do not contradict what Christ did at the cross. I pray you will soon find out that truth and walk in the healing Jesus bought with His life for you.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ my rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distress for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Paul told Timothy: 1 Timothy 5:23 "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities." - What happened to Timothy's healing? Miracles of God were abundant in 54 A.D. but where were the healings at by 64 A.D.

Like I have said many times: Isaiah 53:4-5, the main context is spiritual restoration through Christ. Is healing part of his atonement? Yes it was! But healing is not promised in this life. God does heal people, but it isn't widespread. It happens when it is his sovereign will. My question is: Why aren't these word of faith healers at St. Jude clearing it out and shutting it down!

Ben, I don't know how to put this any plainer than I have the last dozen times I've said it. I DO BELIEVE. If I didn't, I would not be here today. I've been believing all my life. I BELIEVE in healing. I just DON'T SEE it. And without SEEING healing, it's incredibly hard to BELIEVE it. But I do.

My point exactly. Except people keep trying to me, either I don't believe, or have enough faith. Healing happens when it's part of God's will. Healed, or unhealed, God uses us to teach others by being strong in our trials and learning from them. Do I WANT to be healed? Sure I do. Will I see healing in my lifetime? Highly doubtful. That verse about taking pleasure in infirmities and such, is true. It is when we are at our weakest, that we are actually our strongest.

Christians miss out on a whole nother wonderful aspect of Jesus NOW because they have been taught NOT to even look for that personal realization that God is REAL in our daily lives HERE ON EARTH too!! It's a relationship with the Son of God we are learning about right now. We are supposed to be NOW learning HE is faithful and wants to take care of us in all aspects of our lives here as well as later in heaven.

How else are we going to LEARN NOW about how Jesus is faithful since He died on the cross to save us from sin and the judgment and the wrath of God to come?... If we can't count on Him to even get us a job?? OR feed us or nurture us now while we are living in these weak bodies?

How do we develop and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ if we are distantly loved and cared for as Sons of God to come when we are given our glorified bodies?? He is with us in the here and now. He offers security and a safe haven to His sheep. Read Psalm 23. That is for us.,not for the funerals of the unsaved who have used this Psalm so often. We ARE in the valley of the shadow of death NOW. Death is all around us and we have this treasure in earthen vessels. Jesus the hope of glory. We have this "treasure" in earthen vessels.....

These are promises for us even NOW. All the days of our lives. Not only for when we get to heaven.
We need to redeem His promises today because in heaven it won't be a matter of faith., but a reality that has no faith required. While we are here on earth is when we need to believe these great and precious promises. And IN THE FACE OF A SINFUL AND SICK AND DYING WORLD. We need to use and believe in the promises today.

God didn't create sin or sickness or death. Those things are an outflow of sin come into the world by the first Adam who believed the lie. Jesus came and redeemed us so we can get back on the saddle again where Adam and Eve fell off. (sort of speak)

We should be developing this close personal relationship with Jesus while we are allowing Him to guide and direct and nurture us NOW. He says to COME to Him all of us who are weary and heavy laden and He will give us rest. NOW. We won't need rest when we get to heaven., we will have it without faith.

Right now we need faith and right now we need to redeem the time for the days are evil. He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power....and love....and a sound mind... for NOW. Why do so many people keep on believing that Jesus promises are not for now? Why do sons live like orphans??? We don't have to anymore. We are sons and daughters and Saints no longer identified as sinners.
