Keeping you in prayers.
Keeping you in prayers.
But, update time. Because that covering concealed the actual bedsore, no one knew how deep the sore went. The choices ranged from just surface level (Stage I) to it dug right into the bone. (Stage IV.) We've known it's no Stage I, but thought it was a Stage III. Wrong again. Stage IV -- right into the bone, which means any infection would spread quickly through his body because it would start at bone marrow level. He's on antibiotics for six weeks now, (No, that doesn't mean rehab is out for all six weeks, but it sounds like it's out until his bone recovers.)
If John were a baseball batter, he's averaging .999 on hits. If it can go wrong, it has gone wrong to the nth degree, except for the one that counts the most -- HE LIVES!
Before I leave, I asks him if he needs anything. Today he said, "Pray for me." (He knows many are.)
I have asked for many specific prayers along the line. I don't know if anyone's counting, but God has not given me a single one as asked. He's doing this his way and it keeps working out, but not one has he answered the way I expected. (And I really didn't think John would live through that first night, so even back then I asked for something and didn't get it -- so it doesn't mean God hasn't made me happy when I didn't get what I prayed. lol) I don't expect this anymore, but still, can we pray he gets no infections this time? I remember pneumonia, kidneys shut down, an infection no one ever could name, and C-diff. Not again!
