Ladies don't forget about the rummage sale this Saturday.
It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping
around the house. Don't forget your husbands!!!
Well, since Melita is tired I will tell her a bedtime story. This long story ought to put her right to Snores-Ville. ROFL!!! It's called, "Impeding My Forward Progress"
I have a pet peeve. It is anything that impedes my forward progress in the grocery store. I want to get in & out ASAP because food shopping isn’t my fave thing to do. And heaven forbid if the check-out aisle is overcrowded! *ugh*
(This is me in the grocery store)
So my son invited me to accompany him to the grocery late last night, when not many people would be there shopping. We agreed to make it a quick trip. He had his mental list of things to get & I had my written list. We get there and my son went one way, I went another. An older gentleman (my age haha!!) saw me coming full speed ahead and tried to maneuver his mobility scooter out of my way. “Excuse me,” he softly said. His sweet voice touched my heart as I passed him. I replied, “Awww no dear, you’re not in my way. I’m sorry.”
I flew up another aisle looking for clothes detergent when a woman in a long, pretty skirt came up to me and asked me why I chose the all-natural laundry soap. When I looked into her eyes, I could see she was just being friendly. So I chatted with her for a few minutes and then we both went our separate ways.
A few minutes later my son buzzed down the aisle I happened to be in and we got into a comparison shopping discussion regarding the detergent I chose. Along comes this same woman in the long skirt and nonchalantly joins in our conversation. Moments later her husband, who just so happened to be the gentleman in the motorized chair came up to us and happily joined in our chat as well.
Except that it had somehow turned into a praise session. One after another, we introduced ourselves and shared what miraculous things Jesus had done in our lives. We all four fellowshipped and laughed and rejoiced and gave our testimonies. It was absolutely amazing! My son figured we were there in the aisle for 45 minutes or more. It seemed like only 5 minutes. When we parted, we hugged one another & exchanged information to keep in touch. Each one of us was blessed out of our socks!
So, even though I had intended to get in & out of the grocery store at lightning speed, I praise God that He impeded my forward progress so that I didn't miss out on the lovely refreshing fellowship and wonderful testimonials with those sweet saints of God!

Yea, the lady should have changed it around some.
She made it sound like the husbands were useless.
I have 100's of them, maybe, I'll post some more, of
course, just for laughs.
