Can't teach men. The exception might be in missions where there isn't another man around that they can teach but not as pastor. I can defend this but it isn't easy on a tablet.
Every one with your view can defend their view from Scripture, as can everyone who holds another view......IT'S NOT LIKE this subject HAS NEVER been discussed here before.......sigh..... :)

No one is talking about women burying their gifts.
The issue is can a woman be a pastor thus having authority over a man.
Scripture is crystal clear on this as laid out in the letters of Paul to Timothy and Titus.
What about Deborah? They had to listen to their own husband, so they're not in authority if they're a pastor anyway, because the husband wants it and she submits to him. And a single woman like Corrie ten Boom has proved God wants women to preach.

yes there are several scriptures that say this but even so I cannot help but feel we are somehow misunderstanding, does father really seem like he favors man over women?

What about boys? That's no problem because the men are too lazy to do it? Lol. You never hear anyone complain about a woman doing sunday school.

Paster Women?
You old male chauvinists should go and get a life and stop being dinosaurs, for the Scriptures DO NOT support your rather warped views that women can't preach, teach and pastor, indeed the Devil has darkened your mind on this subject, for you have ripped 2 Scriptures out of context and dismissed ALL the other Scriptures that show women ministering in the Church!

The context of 1Tim 211,12 and 1Cor 14v34,35 is to do with domestic matters, NOT Church practice!

What does the Bible say or teach about women preaching the Word of God?

Example:
How about " Paster Joyce Meyer "

I have several female pastors in my family. Some are married and their husbands are also pastors and some are not. People have different views of what Scripture says on this. The women in my family felt called are were able to be ordained and have served the Lord in their work.

I guess as of now I don't have the understanding to be able to read such scriptures. the scriptures say women cannot have authority over men but even so why does something inside me keep telling me this is wrong?
Is just because I grew up seeing women just as good as men? or is the holy spirit trying to tell me something?

So, we're back to the organized church situation again, huh? Things that are seen. Credibility and self-identification and who submits to whom according to man's understanding. Religious doctrines and laws and cares of this life and churchy taboos formulated in man's mind. *sigh*

Praise God for the liberty we have in Jesus Christ!

We walk by faith and not by sight.

In the world, but not of it. \:D/ YAY!!!

Not over her own husband, if you look it up in Greek the word used is not any man but their own husband. Otherwise women also have to obey every man that walks around. Well ehmm buh bye!! That's not even doable if they want opposite things.

Isn't the whole purpose of this site to help one another in the truths we seek?
Willie is being helpful. There's a search function and I bet you can find a lot of threads on this subject.

Watching the people on here trying to be teachers when they should be sucking milk out of bottles is like watching the republicans freaking out, trying to figure out a way to stop Trump.
Paul brought the gospel of Christ to the Gentile.
Christ said; "Paul tell those willfully blinded people on CC bible room that women are not to hold a position of authority over a man, that women are not to teach men. Then remind them that the position of a pastor is one where he must be able to rebuke the flock if necessary, which clearly precludes a woman from holding that position. Ever."
You people are the blind leading the blind. Some one call help. There's people in the ditch that can't see where they're going.

many times in our ministry, Christ has had me step-out of what I thought my comfort zone was and either
teach, admonish, uphold or instruct from what He has taught me through the years... never once
did I think of myself as either above or below, as my husband and I were in total agreement of what our Father
required of us in any given situation, and were more than ready to do His bidding....
it truly is a one-day-at-a-time-submissive-ministry.....

The husband is the head or priest. Women shouldn't be the boss of their husbands, but that doesn't mean a man must be selfish and controlling, it's supposed to be like Christ and the church.

New American Standard Bible
Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life.

Oh I love when people use this to teach men not to listen to women when God told Abraham to listen to his wife.

Genesis 21:12 But God said to him, "Do not be so distressed about the boy and your slave woman. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.

Men will choose woman over God and truth.

That is a problem with men, not a problem with women, if that were even true. It is definitely not Scripture, but your opinion.

Proverbs 18:2
Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.

The Bible says we will be shepherded by one of two women. The Woman Wisdom (Proverbs 1:20) or the Woman Folly (Proverbs 9:13). Everybody will follow one.
