Every time I bring this up, I get yelled at, but let’s give it another go:

I have explained to you folks that heaven is what our lives turn into when we repent of our sin, using this Bible verse as evidence:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

Well, guess what? I found another:

[19] Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the LORD.
[20] This is the gate of the LORD;
the righteous shall enter through it. Psalm 118:19-20 RSV

JOHN 10:9

"I (JESUS) am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture."

JOHN 10:9

"I (JESUS) am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture."
And according to Psalm 118:20, we need to be righteous to do that, yes?

Yes, we are called to repentance. And why are we called? So that we can enter the gate of heaven.

Righteousness is found INSIDE the gate ...

Once we enter we are righteous inwardly IN CHRIST.

If you call Jesus heaven ...

The kingdom of heaven is then within us you mean?

When we repent of our sin, the Lord is able to turn our lives into paradise.
Well then what do we hope for?

HEB 11:1
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

Are you saying we no longer need to live by faith?

No, we still have to trust the Lord. However, when we resist temptation, we get ourselves into a lot less trouble and need the Lord's help a lot less.
