And so would it be better for it to live with a parent who doesn't want it, with a human being who would rather abuse and neglect it?

I don't condone it and I don't agree with it. I also don't condone smoking, alcohol abuse, or acting on same sex attraction, but people will do what they want to do. What I absolutely don't want is a government that makes choices based on what is correct as per a given religion. At face value, that sounds anti Christian, but honestly what would we do if Islam suddenly became popular? Would we want laws that respect the Koran's view of morality? No sir.
The answer to your question is a resounding, Yes. The sanctity of life triumphs our failures. Period.

On another note, it's funny how people do what they want yet demand others pay for it.

i haven't read the first half of this thread. when i looked at it yesterday, some of the first posts i read where anti-Sirk, and they were really surprising to me. i
Sirk; even though we disagree about politics he's always been reasonable and level-headed about it with me, and even willing to re-evaluate his opinion about things -- completely unlike some other people.. he's an example to me that i should be just as gentle and open about my own opinions.

*shrug* if Sirk was being unkind in the first half of the thread, i don't want to see it.
Thanks Post. I am rarely unkind. I may be opinionated at times and come across that way but I don't recall having malicious intent anywhere on this thread. Unless malicious is being right. Lol

I have three best friends ..all of them have adopted unwanted or uncared for children..these are the best and most blessed children in the world ... don't feed me that nonsense about these babies don't have a place or a chance in this world...

If you cant see the difference between killing a innocent baby and these other issues..you need to talk to the Lord and get your heart right little girl.
Amen to this, Brother.

Again. Do not rebuke me just because I'm younger than you. You don't know anything about me. Neither do I know anything about you. But do not rebuke me just because I'm younger. God himself ordered the death of innocents in the Old Testament when he ordered the Israelites to kill everyone in the enemy camp. I believe this order was done out of mercy for the children.

God sees the spiritual while we see the physical. We see the awful death of a physical being, God sees the beautiful soul coming to him. The innocents killed in the bible...I do'nt think they went to hell (and by innocents I mean little children).
God is justified in His decisions; we are not. Today we live by grace afforded to us with the blood of Jesus, so don't equate abortion on demand with God's sanctifying righteousness.

AMEN! Thank you soo much for helping me point that out! I've never heard another pro-life Christian say that. Thanks for posting :D

it's my personal opinion that many American believers have been wooed by the GOP and subsequently brainwashed, so they don't even really think about issues, they just vote republican as a knee-jerk reaction. we've been sucked in and propagandized, and the bait was the hypocritical assertion that the GOP is the 'party of Christian conservatism' with a little bit of 'yeah i'm pro-life' sugar on top.

it's sad, to me. :(

Same logic the Nazis used to justify murder..they are not people...but like animals ..and their lives are not worth the effort to love and help them... Folks who have struggles are not worth saving? Just go kill folks that are poor and struggle if that the standard.
Their logic is diabolical. There's no getting around that fact.

-sigh- Yeah. I can tell there's not going to be any reasoning with you. =/ You're stuck on being insulted and insulting; not helpful and not beneficial to an adult conversation about differences in opinion. I'm going to go. I understand that your anger comes from your passion, but don't let your anger cloud your judgment as you insult a sister in Christ and condemn her for her youth. Shame on you. If you truly feel I am immature in Christ, your job at this point should be to come with love and scripture, not insults.

Again, I'm done.
Adult conversation? About infanticide? Are you kidding?

Don't you think there are people like that on both sides though? Kinda like my daddy was a republican so I'm one too. I've pretty much had a distaste for politicians of every stripe my entire life.

Innocent babies should not be murdered. But what do you say to God about the times when He ordered the Israelite's to wipe out every man, woman, child and even live stock?
Today we live by grace, Joseph. Its the beauty of the Cross and Empty Tomb.

Calling a grown woman "little girl" in that manner was an insult, don't you agree?
So is callously advocating infanticide because children are an inconvenience. Don't you agree?

for sure that doesn't describe everyone, and there are people who are just as deceived by democratic propaganda too, and wouldn't even consider voting any other way. just like all you have to do is have an R next to your name, and you've automatically got a majority of the bible belt's votes when you're listed beside a person with a D -- it's the other way around in much of new england.

i've never liked politicians either - though i do respect some, by and large i'm prejudiced against them, honestly unfairly so. every once in a while i hear one who actually sounds like he's sincere & honest, and not just keeping up a front to get votes. Sanders strikes me like that, just like Ron Paul did years ago. i wrote in Ron Paul because of that spark of truth i thought i saw in him, even though i didn't agree with a lot of his views. i'll do the same for Sanders if he isn't on the ticket in november.

I simply cannot sincerely understand why you are supporting the worst of them, Trump. I don't want to debate you any more on the subject, it just makes me sad. ??????

As of now I support Trump because he best reflects my view on the immigration problem....which is in my opinion the most serious threat we face as a nation. I want someone that takes a strong stance against unfettered illegal immigration because I want a safe environment for my son. One that he doesn't have to be worried about being blown up shot or beheaded.

But I always keep my options open.

No politician is going to get elected today if he or she is not pro choice. The best a Christian politician can do is say I am against abortion, I will start a dialog to see if the law can be repelled or amended. I will not make it a focus of my administration, and if it goes nowhere, then it is on the head of the people.
And even the, saying just that, he probably made himself un-electable.

People get insulted when someone doesn't like a meal they made, or when someone doesn't like the way they dressed, or when someone doesn't like a poem they wrote, or a drawing they did.
So how much more so when we reject the creators greatest creation in all the universe? It is a insult to God, one that is among the most insulting things we can do to God.

So is sexual immorality. It is saying, hey God, I know better what these body parts are for then you. It is prideful, insulting and stupid to think we know how to implement the use of the body better then the one who designed it.

.

Actually, that's not really true. At any level of Government.

Just saying......
